  1. Hello, I clicked on my Malwarebytes icon to run a scan, but a pop-up message appeared that said, "Unable to connect the service." How should I proceed? If I re-install, will I be able to utilize the same license and license key numbers, or will I have to purchaser a new one? Your advice would be appreciated. Regards, Fred
  2. Updated to most recent version of MWB. Fails to load. Error message text is exactly as shown in post title. Screenshot attached. Attached: mb-check-results.zip; FRST.txt; Addition.txt; and MBAM screenshot 2017-06-02.jpg May be interference from CryptoPrevent or Avast, perhaps. Addition.txt FRST.txt mb-check-results.zip

  4. I've already ran the MBAM clean removal process, and I'm still having problems. I can't even download the program directly from Malwarebytes, I had to find a download from Download.com because the download would never start. I've checked the site on my other computer and it works perfectly fine. I've already ran Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and will post FRST.txt and Addition.txt below. Operating System: Windows 10 x64 MBAM: v2.2.1.1043 (Free) Database: v2016.02.16.06 FRST.txt Scan result of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) (x64) Version: 04-10-2016 Ran by Nate_
  5. I keep getting this message and Malwarebytes will not update. I submitted a support ticket 20 hours ago and have yet to receive any reply. I have done the whole MBAM_clean_removal process. And have even tried to re install using chameleon to no avail. I have this problem with windows firewall on or off and even so I have permissions set for malwarebytes. I have avast anti-virus but it has no firewall. I have the premium version so this is really getting me mad. It is doing it on 2 different computers. Any insight?
  6. Every time I try to go online, I encounter the message "unable to connect to proxy server". This is with any search browser. The issue started occurring after I installed what I thought was a free game which also installed a whole bunch of other programs. I have uninstalled all of them butt it still won't let me go online. I have tried to uncheck the box in LAN settings to disable the use of a proxy server, but it automatically rechecks itself. I'm assuming this is a virus and I don't know how to remove it. I have watched numerous videos and done numerous things to try and resolve this issue,

  8. Registry Keys Detected: 1 HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Connect (Trojan.PornDialer) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. This reg key belongs to Cisco Connect which is a program used by Rogers (and many other cable ISP) to provide support to customers (to remotely observe and/or fix something).
