Wondering if Malwarebytes for Mac 3.0 scans external hard disks. I've heard that antivirus programs should not be allowed to scan external hard drives, since they can break the links in Time Machine that record changes. Thank you!
Can anyone verify that MBAM takes into account registry changes made by GPO before showing them as possible malware changes? Just want to be sure that any registry changes we make due to GPO will not show up in MBAM scans as false positives.
TuneUp Utilities leverages the "Image File Execution Options" debug key to enable termination of long running background processes. Malwarebytes flags these registry entries as problems and quarantines them. Is there any way to have Malwarebytes ignore these keys? At present I have to manually restore them. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\chrome.exe (Security.Hijack) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\firefox.exe (Security.Hijack) -> Quarantined and deleted
