I noticed in my System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access, I have not only Malwarebytes Protection, but two additional app plug-ins from Malwarebytes, which have appeared since very first installing the app on my new MacBook Air (2020). I understand the need and reason for the MB Protection in this section, but I'm wondering why these other app plug-ins appearing? I've tried reinstalling the app multiple times, with and without FileVault enabled, verified the MBAM plist files are appearing normally in /Library/LaunchAgents and /Library/LaunchDaemons, verified the app is up to date, and I don't have any other anti-malware related apps installed that may be tweaking the permissions. I just want to be sure these extra plug-ins appearing won't affect the performance or functionality of Malwarebytes.
I just recently tried to open Malwarebyts on my MacBook Pro (Late 2013) 15" Retina Display, and to no avail did not open. I got a huge message on my screen saying it quit unexpectedly and the said it was sending analytics to Apple. At the bottom of message it had a button that said "ok" and "reopen". Is there an update for Malwarebyts or is it not yet optimized for OS Catalina? Could someone please help me with the issue? Thank you to any and all for any helpful info and any help, MUCH APPRECIATED. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED IMAGE BELOW
I'm trying to activate real-time protection on my iMac. I couldn't do it before upgrading to Catalina this morning. And now I've upgraded and I still can't see the Allow button even in Catalina. Screen shots below. It doesn't offer an Allow button.
Purchased malwarebytes a couple of weeks ago. I am trying to install Malwarebytes for the very first time. Installation Error Message says: "The installation failed" "This install requires macOS Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, High sierra or Mojave." Would really like to install Malwarebytes on macOS Catalina. Any suggestions are appreciated.
