  1. I use Malwarebytes Premium, yet scans do not show the browser hijacker called "MyMailCenter.co " or in lower case. I have tried various methods to remove it without success. One of those methods touted in searches for remedies is to use Malwarebytes. I must get rid of this browser hijacker which is persistent malware. It is disappointing that scans do not find it so I can quarantine it. I hope someone can help. Many thanks, Barbara
  2. Hi all, I am starting to be a bit desperate because obviously my PC is undergoing a pernicious infection, but no anti-malware or anti-virus seem to recognize the threat: The infection seems to be showing the following symptoms: a) An ever-present Rightcoupon banner, which must be a new and nastier variant of the "normal" Rightcoupon malware, since none of the methods suggested to remove the "traditional" one (resetting Chrome, deleting suspicious extensions [there are none!], blocking suspicious services [there are none!], etc...) seem to work with it. b) A nasty browser hi

  5. I have been working on removing a browser hijacker for over a month now. This program is super hardcore. I have been able to remove all virus and adware for decades ...since my 5 inch monochrome screen said you are stoned and had been infected from a 5 1/4 floppy disk. But this program has me BEAT and I am here asking for HELP. This hijacker (adware...ransomware?) works on both Internet Explorer and chrome....essentially every time I open a page from from home screen I get one of the comcast survey.....You've been infected ...call microsoft pop-ups/redirected page. I have run every virus/adw
  6. This pop-up keeps happening. Domain and IP say the same but the Port number changes. Research seems to show storage.googleapis.com is a virus but MWBP scan comes up clean. Ran ADWcleaner, Avast Browser Cleaner, HerdProtector, and ESET. Still getting this message. Avast BC had a pop-up saying "Istartsurf" (browser hijacker?) was detected, suggests removing it and offers to do so. Click Yes, then Avast says it's clean but when I rerun the program, the same message regarding Istartsurf comes up. I'm not tech savvy and feel I'm in over my head. Sorry, the pictures are out of or

  8. I have ccleaner and avast, my avast scans for virus once per week so far I'm good in that end and from time to time I run ccleaner. A few weeks ago I ran into what I found to be a malware browser hijacker, 2 of them to be exact, I use chrome and have add-block on it, my avast tells me what sites are safe and what sites are not when I search for something in google, and one day it redirected me to another page once I searched for something and also when I click somewhere in a "safe" page it opened a random link, some of those "safe" pages are youtube, facebook, yahoo, twitter, google, and so on
  9. So about a week ago i somehow got a virus. First i just went around directories like the program files and appdata. I found a few viruses and adware and deleted them manually. I then decided to run Malwarebytes and it found a ton of viruses including a browser hijacker (yeabest.cc). I quarantined and removed all th files, but then a day later i launched Google Chrome and it was redirected to Yeabest.cc again. I tried resetting and redownloading Chrome, but nothing worked. I ran Malwarebytes and it found a new bunch of viruses which i deleted. I later found out that the Yeabest.cc browser

  15. Hey. I'm Roshan, I recently downloaded a android recovery program from the internet called Wondershare. But, unfortunately, it was a virus file. It immediately started downloading and installing programs without my consent. I switched off the internet and uninstalled all the programs which it installed and deleted it. But , I still saw some new programs in my desktop. One of them was MPC Cleaner. I tried to delete it from ProgramFilesx86 but it wouldn't let me to do so, asking for administrator rights. I tried to search the internet for solutions but I could not access the inte
  16. Good day/evening everyone, I am having a truly terrible time getting rid of this browser hijacker. I use Firefox. I've tried to find it with Malwarebytes in and out of safe mode, and I've tried to find it with Avast. I can't use Avast in safe mode for some odd reason. So far, they haven't even found any infections, never mind this specific virus. It takes forever to write anything online because of the excessive lagging it causes! Even writing this topic has been a pain-in-the-ass to me because it'll randomly redirect my page, making me re-load the page and re-write my entire questi
  17. Hello to anyone who may be able to help me with this massively irritating problem I not so politely refer to as that [bleep] [bleep] [bleep] SafeSearch [bleep] virus. SafeSearch appears to be a browser hijacker that may or may not be related to the Search Protect Malware which has repeatedly appeared in my programs list and beeen promptly removed. All of my attempts to totally remove it on my own and via online guides have failed since it first appeared on my PC around mid September. Occasionally I thought I was rid of it only to have it suddenly reappear. Assuming this was the result of so
  18. Hello and Merry Christmas. I've used spybot, microsoft security essentials, and malwarebytes scans. Only Malwarebytes found any threats (25), which I quarantined. However, after the Malwarebytes scan, I'm still getting redirects from akamaihd.net, onlinewebfind.com, and cts.lipilextrack.com. And now a new one: go.webfind.pw I think akamaihd may be the main "bad boy". I found it attached to some of my Macromedia flash folders. Microsoft Security Essentials recognizes akamai.downloads as a trojan threat, but akamaihd.net isn't included in their definitions. Anything you could do to help
  19. Hello. Earlier this evening I opened a blog on Tumblr and it turned into a fake FBI warning thing saying I had to pay money via Moneypak because it was 'locking my internet' and I wouldn't be able to get on the internet anymore. It wouldn't let me use the browser X button to close so I used the Task Manager to shut off my Chrome browser. I ran a Malwarebytes full scan and it found nothing. I followed advice on the internet regarding getting into safe mode and doing a system restore, as well as checking various folders (like AppData) for suspicious files and even spent time looking for su
  20. Hello forum members. New here. For the past couple of months I've had a problem with a window which pops up when I'm searching, ordering, logging in to forums, etc. I've searched everywhere for a solution, and have found that although others have this problem, a solution has not yet been found. I use Chrome as my primary browser, and keep it up to date. OS is Windows 7. I've run Norton scans, Malwarebytes scans, Hitman scans and a host of others. Most recently I ran Hijackthis, and since I can't identify much of what I found in the results of the scan, I'm posting it here hoping someon
  21. Got infected with Browser Plus 2 yesterday. Tried to do system restore and failed on 2 different dates supposedly due to antivirus program (which I deactivated prior to system restore after 1st attempt). Tried removing everything installed yesterday via control panel and ran Hitman, AVG, MBAM all to no avail. Got adwcleaner from your site and now I have my home page back, but Internet Explorer is corrupted in that Manage Add Ons shows BrowserPlus2 as an option and it cannot be deleted. Further, Toolbars and Extensions has a red circle with a line through it and I can't access any choices.
  22. Hello, I was directed to this forum because I have an outgoing IP Block detected by MalwareBytes: 2013/01/24 09:23:35 -0500 USER-PC user IP-BLOCK (Type: outgoing, Port: 50798, Process: firefox.exe) 2013/01/24 09:23:35 -0500 USER-PC user IP-BLOCK (Type: outgoing, Port: 50799, Process: firefox.exe) I originally had problems after downloading a free swf to video program. Both my Norton 360 and MBAM detected Trojans (Trojan.dropper, Trojan.Gen.2) and malware (BasicSeek.exe, basicseek110.exe), and I was getting redirects on Firefox to a site called isearchfantasticgames.
  23. Hi all, This morning my computer started acting slow and when I try to use google chrome, it takes me to random sites. I ran MalwareBytes quick scan but it didn't find anything. I ran Spybot and SuperAntispyware but they come out clean as well. This is the DDS log: .
