  1. Hi, so as of the latest update the program froze on my computer. Now it won't update, it won't close, won't reopen after trying force close, and the support tool is not working. It's on an infinite loop. I am a premium member and can't even access my software. Please help. Thanks, Mitch
  2. The browser extension has 2 buttons 1: GO BACK, 2: CONTINUE TO SITE (I'm not 100% sure about this as it is not visible) The GO BACK button is a NOOP (doesn't do anything) on Windows 10 all updates applied.
  3. The Web Protection isn't turning on and the scan is stuck on pre-scan operations. I've tried to use a malwarebytes cleaner and it failed can someone help. mb-clean-results.txt
  4. Malwarebytes 3.x Webprotection failure to start is STILL broken A/O 29 Jan 18. My system Win10 Malwarebytes version: 3.3.1.2183 Component package version: 1.0.0 Update package version: 1.0.3814 I have read most of the posts on this forum relating to this CONTINUOUSLY REOCCURRING problem since Saturday, 27 Jan 18. None of these alleged "fixes" have worked. Do you folks not do regression testing? I can no longer recommend Malwarebytes to my friends and colleagues. Most of these people lack the computer skills to deal with the CONTINUING errors pushed out by Malwarebytes. This is a very sad situation. Malwarebytes 2.x was an excellent application. It was stable, and high quality. This 3.x version has been pure junk from it's first release. Since Malwarebytes does not seem to be able to resolve the problems with this version, I have turned off the start at login option, and will not renew my licenses. SeeYa!
  5. I used Malwarebytes to remove a PUP but immediately after it deleted the quarantined files, the Start Menu and system apps stopped working. I have searched online and found n umerous solutions; however nothing I've done so far has helped at all. Does anyone have any ideas?
  6. I'm running MBAM Pro 3.1.2.1733 update package version 1.0.2276. I've installed all updates, including Update Package 1.0.1976 (supposedly the fix in the now closed topic Malwarebytes 3.1.2 Exploit Protection Won't Turn On) I'm running Win 10 Pro V. 1703 OS Build 15063.413 on a new Dell Inspirion laptop with Intel Core i77700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 64 bit, 16GB ram. Windows says everything is up to date. The only other Anti-Virus protection running is Windows Defender. And ... I've still got the MBAM Exploit Protection disabled, constant alerts that I'm not protected and getting pretty fed up. Attached are the scan files as requested using mb-check-3.1.2.1001 and Farbar recovery tool 64 bit. It seems like many paying MBAM customers still have the issue. Is MBAM paying attention? mb-check-results.zip farbarResultTxtFiles.zip
  7. Well after this morning version 3.0.6 decided to not start the web protection anymore I thought to myself let's install version 3.1.2 to see if that works... Uninstalled 3.0.6, run the Clean MBAM setup, Installed 3.1.2. incl. Multiple restarts. Everything worked fine on version 3.0.6 until this morning... Nope It does not work. Trying to run a Scan Threat, Hyper or Custom. Results in a 2-15 Second Scan in which Malwarebytes is only "Checking for Updates" and stops without scanning anything. 8. Hello, Yesterday I started a custom full scan off all my HDDs and my SSD including rootkits. This due to one of my accounts being hacked recently so I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any malware on my PC. I left the computer for a couple of hours to let it finishand when I came back and turn on my screen I see a CMD looking GRUB rescue mode console that I can run commands in. I tried to restart my computer and to change my boot disc but it always shows this GRUB thing. I googled on how to fix it but nothing of what I saw worked. What also confuses me is that almost all videos I have seen were dual-booting windows and Ubuntu, which I don't. I'm a full Windows user who doesn't use any other operating system. So my question is pretty much how to fix this or how it could have happened. Thanks! Kind Regards, Jonathan. Edit: Also to add, the GRUB rescue console prints "error: unknown file system." at the start.
  9. To whom it may concern...... When I got home from cycling training I went to my laptops which I normally use in order to do my Information Technology homework. When I booted it up the computer it gave me this error " :C Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info and then we'll restart it for you (The percentage it goes every time it boots up) (Random bar code lower right) For more information about this issue or possible fixes, visit (Windows URL/stopcode) If you call support person, give them this info Stopcode: CRITICAL PROCESS DIED " My mother said shes tried to launch the computer and it made a pinging noise . The reason why she used my computer is that she could put her final term marks in (shes a teacher), she rarely ever uses my computer. She only used it today and last night and she said she didn't go on any URLs so that makes it less suspicious at a virus (side note). Earlier when I tried to boot up with command prompt and etc to test if it would work. Then when I restarted the computer after like 20 times I made the pinging noise (The noise sounds like when you launch Kali Linux from a bootable USB). So I am not sure because it now wont let me boot up in safe mode or even try and go back to a previous version now but it did earlier. Yours sincerely C

  11. I'm so annoyed with this program now, it is really buggy since one of the recent updates. As numerous other threads report, there are major issues with this stupid 'database is out of date' popup. You click 'update' and it does nothing but minimise the popup only for it to immediately return, you have to click on it constantly to prevent the pop up from staying on your screen - which in turn, prevents you from accessing anything in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Even loading the program up and clicking 'update' or 'fix now' does nothing. This app is seriously broken with major UX flaws. To simply go through the absolute hassle of the clean removal process and installing numerous other tools that produce various reports to post on here just shouldn't be necessary! This happens on multiple computers with different OS versions etc etc and on both free and paid installs so it is clearly the program that is broken rather than an issue on the computer. We're just not prepared to faff about doing a clean removal on all computers where this issue occurs - I have even read threads where this hasn't even resolved the problem anyway. As a result, we're uninstalling this on all systems and switching to another malware protection app as this is proving incredibly frustrating and annoying. It used to be really good until your software designers came along and screwed about with it all making it ten times worse.
  12. Hi all, I have been experiencing with a bug that causes malwarebytes to completely break while it updates. I have went through forum and noticed many other having the same issue as me so I know it has nothing to do with my computer or other software interference but Malwarebytes itself. I am using the latest mbam premium version. What happens is i turn on my computer and malwarebytes won't even startup with protection and the whole program just breaks as pic below. And when i click fix now nothing happens and when i click update now i am unable to access update server and my internet runs correctly fine The program is unable to update and the about page is empty, no version or database displayed. At the same time, after the program broke unable to update and enable protection, there are 2 new HIDDEN settings that came up as highlighted on the picture below. i suppose these settings weren't enabled for the official version because it was in beta? but the silent mode seems promising. I have this happened couple of times now and it is very annoying of having to keep uninstalling and installing. My assumption for the reason why the update and protection broke is that whenever you shutdown your computer during an update, the update is interrupted and is corrupted and unable to re-update that is why it was working fine when i shutdown, and when i turn it back on it breaks. If that is the case, there should be a safeguard somehow warning user such as "Malwarebytes is currently updating. Closing this program or shutting down this computer might cause failure to the program. Please wait until the program is updated completely before continuing." would be nice to prevent corruption. Or a fix to allow malwarebytes to beable to update to the latest definition even if it was interrupted beforehand. Hope the dev team are working on a fix as you probably seen other on this forum having this same bug. Cheers!

edit button) I am unable to copy / paste, drag icons, or start many of my programs. I apologize, but I recently noticed that uTorrent was on my computer (though it hasn't been used in quite a long time). I had originally used it to download a game that a friend of mine was working on in GameMaker and had uploaded as a torrent. It's been removed from the computer, according to your policies.
