  1. So I've been getting connections from strange IP's for a long time and Malwarebytes has always notified me of it and classified the attempts as malware. These attempts would usually happen around 4-5 times a week for the past 5 months or so and Malwarebytes Premium would show no additional information on the attempts apart from IP & Port. Recently though these attempts have been much more frequent (3-9 times a day) and coming from different IP's and sometimes even showing domains which also are different from each other. Instead of saying it was an attempt to infect my PM with malware
  2. So I've posted before about some odd happenings and never really found a solution but think I got a little closer. In my event logs, I have several power shell events like pshell console starting a server (among other things), Multiple WMI services starting, and browser redirects. Nothing has ever been found by Win defender or MBAM Premium (I really don't feel like they're working - on the surface they seem to working fine but I think it's an illusion). Hitman Pro did find a file Win32.Droma.abdb (first malicious file I've ever found) and that led me to googling that and found this article.
  3. Today I woke up to do some homework online, I get a message page from my internet service Time Warner Cable, and they have notified me that I have a botnet! At the moment, I'm currently scanning avast and malwarebytes program to get it rid of it, but I'm not sure if its going to work, because I'm so paranoid. I've been here once before couple of years ago, and got help with a malware issue that I had. And I was satisfied with it, so I would like it if you may help me once more!
  4. So there has been some discussion over at Reddit about malware groups approaching extension designers to either affiliate or sell these extensions to them, netting a laundry list of existing users. Said groups then modify the extensions. Users have reported all manner of nonsense, from link poisoning and ad injection to botnetting. Has anyone here heard about or been looking into this? I did some quick searching and didn't come up with anything similar. 5. Hi all, I am a computer science student and i am carrying out an investigation into Botnets. I need samples of well known botnet malware (storm, speye, zeus, koobface etc) in order to observe their behaviour. Does anyone know where i can get these?
  6. First of all, I'm not too good with computer stuff and English isn't my national language. However, I'll do my best to be co-operating and to understand everything the helpful and respectful staff has to say. Thank you. My computer is considerably new. I've had it for about 1 year now. Not too sure. Anyways, when I leave it alone for a moment, it, of course, turns its screen off to save some energy. But when I open the screen, nothing happens. The only light that's there is the message that says something about a missing video input. I check that my computer is on and it is. I check if my ke
  7. Hi, A couple of months back i was befriended by a stranger on Skype. McAfee Antivirus software was running on my Windows 7 pc. While chatting with this person my Antivirus software alerted me that my pc was being probed through various ports. I immediately closed all contact with this person, but the damage had already been done. Various ports on my pc get probed from all over the net on a daily basis. +50/daily Recently i installed Malwarebytes and scanned all my files. It found PUP:Datamangr in the registry and i promptly removed the registry entry and rebooted the pc. i thought i had fin
