I use malwarebytes 3 [home] premium and am happy with it, but I would feel a little safer if I had another antimalware program, obviously one that is compatible with mbam. I was using MS Security Essentials on my Windows XP system and it actually found a virus that mbam did not, or at least did not tell me about [perhaps MSSE stopped it before mbam had a chance]. I have Windows Defender, of course, on my W8.1 system, but apparently it has been disabled. I have tried Avira, but consider it too obtrusive. AVG appears incompatible. Avast seemed OK on my XP system, but I have not tried it on W8.1. In short, I am hoping to get some advice as to which free antimalware program the experts at this forum would recommend. Thank you, ralatmby [Robert Leeper]
Hi, i'm going to do a windows clean install and i have already analiced my pc with my antivirus and with malwarebytes, i have also used a couple of cleaners. malwarebytes found a couple o malwares but i have already removed they. ir order to be completely sure that there aren't any malware in my computer i was thinking in use a bootable antivirus (i think that a low level format will be to much time for the hdd of 1 tb, how much time do you think that it will need? its a good idea to do it?) i have never had a really bad malware in my computer and i have used antivirus from the first day but my question is: do you think that is a good idea to use a bootable antivirus? because since i'm going to format i wanted to be sure that my pc is totally clean. i know that there are rootkits that are almost invisible for the common security software. although i have my pc scanned and nothing was found, do you thing that a bootable antivirus could remove something that have not been found yet? or the only thing i can do is a low level format?
Satisfied for real-time protection on macOS, still unhappy for the few implemented features: when does the version for HighSierra with possibly more real-time protection features (other threats)? Thanks Greetings Massimiliano
Hi everyone! This is only my second post ever on this forum, and I am not very experienced when it comes to antiviruses and antimalware. My question is, is Malwarebytes Free (for me, it is version 3.3.1) good enough to protect my computer on its own? Should I upgrade to premium or download another antivirus?
