  1. Hello, My name is Ethan and I'd like to request help with malware/rootkit/ad/etc removal. To give you some background, I recently got infected with THIS file. It changed my browser, redirected pages to "eatyellowmango. com", changed file names to ".bat", installed bitcoin miners, 100% CPU usage, and much worse. After 10+ hours of running every AV program I knew, it's mostly gone; but I'm still having issues with what I believe is "Adware.Yelloader" and rootkit(s). I've also gotten a BSOD message three times, saying "irql_not_less_or_equal", but that stopped now. So far, I've
  2. I have MB premium for 2 years now. I have used AVG Free for some of that time and Bitdefender Free for some of that time. Neither one of those AV conflicted with MB until now. This morning AVG did an update that required a restart. After I restarted AVG would not let me proceed unless I uninstalled MB. I then proceeded to uninstall AVG free. After that I installed Bitdefender free and I received the same issue (must uninstall MB to continue with Bitdefender). MB has always said it is designed to run with AV software (no Conflict). It would seem that at least 2 AV companies no longer agree
  3. Ok, So I've been having a huge problem during my vacation. I was downloading a file from mediafire. I have had past experiences with this domain before, and I've encountered pop-ups more than a few times. I decided to risk it, not knowing it could've really infected me. It redirected me to a webpage that was completely unknown to me. My anxiety appeared, so I closed it. I was shaking and sweating, I honestly didn't know what to do. I left it for a while, and then came back to it. I opened my control panel and found a program under the name of 'Yahoo! Powered'. It had no information on it's pub
  4. Hi, I was on www.geocities.ws just a day ago. I go back today and Malwarebytes' malicious website blocking is triggered. I can't view any page associated with the domain. Is this a false positive?
  5. I know malwarebytes does not protect against virus, so I want to deploy Windows Defender, but can't, as it generates error and warns in action center that it would be competing with current malware product if it was to be turned on, which can't be forced anyway, So, what do I do? What settings can I change to be sure I have both aspects of security covered? It starts with Windows and I checked of Self-protection mode, so mwbytes doesn't quarantine windows files . . . thinking starting with windows is real-time setting? Not clear, option language!
  6. I have recently loaded MalwareBytes and it helped me eradicate the malware fiasco that was holding me hostage, long enough to reloard windows and wipe my hard drive clean by reloading Win 7. It seems to be working however I am concerned that I need anti-virus software to help prevent malicious downloads. Any good suggestions?
  7. Hi everyone, I need a little help/advice. I got my mom a new laptop from Newegg.com. It had some McAfee installed. I deleted via the control panel. Downloaded MS Security Essentials & MBAM (I need to purchase the premium for her computer). MBAM installed fine but when I tried to install MS Security Essentials I had a pop up telling me something about MS Security Essentials was part of Windows Defender. Can anyone tell me if I need to purchase & install an anti-virus or is one already installed. Thanks
  8. Windows 8.1 64 bits Hi, I have 2 questions: 1) For a pc with 3 users (admisnistrator + 1 standard + 1 guest), The scanners need only be launched from the administrator or also from each of the 3 users? 2) after the migration to Windows 8.1 I had problems with some anti-virus (not run at the same time, obviously) Are the free versions of malwarebytes already adapted toa pc with Windows 8.1 64 bites with 3 users? Many thanks
  9. Hello friends, I open this thread because I have the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program trial version for "15 days" (I think). Well, on the main screen of scan, I get down an option called "Buy It Now", which sends me to the sales page of this Anti-Malware program, which is: http://www.malwarebytes.org / lp / Inproduct /. Now, hit the "upgrade now", I get the purchase screen shows me in my case in Mexican currency, which would be $ 335.03 MXN = 30 USD (approximately). Now ... I see the following methods of payment: VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, JCB, and finally transfer Paypal. Actually my doubt is,
  10. I am a free using of Malwarebytes and I am having trouble updating the database. When I try to update it gives me the error PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING(0,0,I\O error). I have been having trouble updating other free anti-virus software as well, execpt for Microsoft Security Essentials. I am also having problems connecting to any internet browser other than internet explorer. The computer has a Norton Internet Security program installed, (which I believe to be to be the problem), that I have tried to uninstall numerous times with no success. The computer is running 32 bit windows xp professional and
  11. Is it to run Malwarebytes with Bitdefender?

I just bought Malwarebytes because I was told it was the best out there. What I want to know is why it's not removing the bad things off my computer. I keep getting these messages: visicom-90.nationalnet.com or Welcome! nginx I can't figure out how to remove them. I though malwarebytes was going to help me with this and it's not working. If they can't help me with it then I want a refund. Can anyone tell me how to stop getting those messages and how can I stop them from coming back? Thanks. Any help will be appreciated. Euni
