My XP did freeze up, so I did the uninstall/reinstall of the latest version. That fixed the freeze, but it didn't fix what MB had been doing since the upgrade but prior to the computer freezing. It boots up completely to Windows without any error, but instead of just running in the background with an icon in the system tray, the program actually opens itself up and then minimizes itself, so I have an active, minimized tab on the bottom taskbar. I had been opening it up, checking for updates, and then clicking on the X which sends it back to running in the background with no active open tab. However, this is what it was doing until my computer froze. Did I not actually fix the problem here and just set my computer back to day one of the last update (with a second freeze-up episode forthcoming)? Is this problem what the hotfix was for or is this something else entirely?
