I already posted this in another forum, but was redirected here. Here's the link but I'll paste the same post here anyway. (https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/172945-anti-malware-slows-down-computer/) I'm running Windows 7 64bit Home Premium and everything is installed on a Samsung 850 EVO. For example, when I have Anti-Malware not running, the task manager opens instantly and clicking viewing processes is just as fast. If I turn on Anti-Malware and turn off Malware Protection, the task manager is still fast. However, when I turn on the Malware Protection it slows down and it takes several seconds to open the task manager and even longer to click view processes for all users. I even looked in ProcessExplorer and the mbamservice.exe process spikes up the CPU usage when I use the task manager. A few seconds delay may not sound like a big deal to you, but it is for me. Especially when I know that Malware Protection is causing it. This is a real bummer for me because I bought a Premium license only for the real time protection, but this slowdown makes my PC practically unusable to me. Note, I do have torrent clients installed but not running. I didn't get a warning in the other thread so I assume it's okay. Any other software is either legit or free/trial. I also did a full scan with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes, nothing detected. FRST.txt Addition.txt

Is it an intended effect? Is it a known issue? Can I get a refund?
