  1. A scan found a threat (a file it named MachineLearning/Anomalous.100%) and automatically quarantined it. The history tab shows "Quarantined" under "Action." However, the quarantine tab is empty, so I can't delete the threat. I used the Support tool to do an update, but the issue persists. Two questions: (1) How can I find the threat to remove it, and (2) Does it really matter, if it's quarantined and supposedly can do nothing in that condition? Here's the report: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Scan Date: 4/21/21 Scan Time: 9:02 AM Log File: d3e8fed6-a2a1-11eb-af59-1002b51dc431.json -Software Information- Version: Components Version: 1.0.1251 Update Package Version: 1.0.39445 License: Free -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 19041.928) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: DESKTOP-AB3VPMA\Peter -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Threat Scan Scan Initiated By: Manual Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 303404 Threats Detected: 1 Threats Quarantined: 1 Time Elapsed: 2 min, 52 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Disabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Value: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 0 (No malicious items detected) File: 1 MachineLearning/Anomalous.100%, C:\USERS\PETER\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\BITA09F.TMP, Quarantined, 0, 392687, 1.0.39445, , shuriken, , 38FFAC598DE45EF46C3688BCC7205D8A, 6828398D0A5CE4FD77BB2C45B7BCA5BD119B43FC85E4274A622FE8898F429A27 Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) WMI: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  2. I just recently tried using Malwarebytes again (after using it several times before on different computers) and it has detected only 3 threats. As of this post, it has been working on removing these three files for over 20 minutes. I'm aware that lots more files means that the program will work harder and longer to remove them but 3 isn't a big number. Is the program stuck? Why is it taking so long to remove the threats?
  3. I was working on something in Firefox recently when I noticed this pop-up notification. Is this expected behavior from Malwarebytes? I've never seen a pop-up notification like it. No offense to the MBAM design team, but it honestly doesn't look legitimate and I want to confirm that this is legit.
  4. Threat scan only seems to scan through the SSD that I have win7 and Malwarebytes 3.0 is installed in. For example, when I perform a threat scan, it goes through 355,000 items. I disconnect my second SSD drive and power cable (the one that doesnt have win7 and Malwarebytes 3.0 installed) and perform another threat scan and only 355,000 items are scanned. Anyway to configure it so threat scans include both of my SSDs? Thanks!
  5. Hi, I had a threat which malware found (adware), however, when asked what to do I clicked on 'nothing' by accident. How do I remove it now? There doesn't seem to be an option to get rid off it now? A subsequent scan didn't find the threat. Thanks for any help.
  6. Hello, MB developers and community. I want to say thank you for creating your program as I have always been using it for years and I never had any issues with it. It was always quick to detect fishy files and sites and always helping me make my PC safe. I have to apologize for not showing my gratitude earlier I wanted to ask you, is it normal for a full scan to take a very short time to complete (<5 min.) ? I recently did a "Custom Scan", with both my SSD and HDD drives selected (MB is installed on 250GB SSD where OS is along with any programs with 129GB used, and HDD is 1TB where all of my video games are installed with 580GB used) after always scanning through "Threat Scan". I don't know why, but it seems like it should take a lot longer to scan in total 709GB. Everything was checked once I checked both of the drives, and "Scan for rootkits" was also selected. Any opinions on this ? Thanks in forward, and thanks again for your wonderful program.
  7. I am getting Recurring blocked outgoing threat. what can i do now?? please help . thanks in advance
  8. This moring an automatic update started followed by a threat scan. This usually takes a couple of minutes to finish, but today the scan has been running for over 5 hours now and it still hasn't finished. It seems the scan is stuck on a .cab file (C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{60D5EF2A-4E0C-2C30-38F6-59C26E134F4A}v8.59.25584\packages\Windows_SDK\58314d0646d7e1a25e97c902166c3155.cab) The .cab file is only 17MB so it shouldn't take this long to scan it. It seems something is keeping malwarebytes from correctly accessing or reading the file, but there also doesn't appear to be a timeout in malwarebytes, which makes it so it can't get stuck on a single file. A skip button would be nice as well, as all I can do now is pauze or cancel. Pauze is useless in this case, and cancel makes it so the rest of my computer doesn't get scanned. If you want I can add the file as an attachment so you can take a look at it.
  9. As you can see on the picture the same folder is listed twice in normal and capital letters. After doing a second scan it showed up correctly (only 1 detection) Is this a bug?
  10. Dear Malwarebytes, I have any issue, that everytime I run a full scan malwarebytes stops working when I try to remove the found threats. I have run a scan with mbam-check- and I attached the search results. Can You write to me what to do next to make the program working? If you need any further information write to me. I'm looking for your answer! Thank you! Best regards, András Márton Rákóczi CheckResults_RAM.txt
  11. Hi, everybody. I'm writing this thread because I've tried almost every solution to fix malwarebytes installation. I've tried the uninstallation, reboot and still get the error ''malwarebytes external exception e06d7363''. I don't know what to do. Also, my Windows Defender doesn't let me open it although I have its directory folder. This month, I've been having some pop ups of ''Zuonami3'' saying it has stopped working every time I log to my computer. It's obviously a malware. I need to install Malwarebytes in order to kill that malware. Please, I need help. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2. Thank you.
  12. when i clicked the quick scan by avast internet security antivirus. then it detected something recognized as threat. so are they a "threat " or not?
  13. Before MalwareBytes Anti-Malware 2.0, threat scans would normally take 8-30 minutes to complete. However, as of the update, scans now consistently get caught on single files, and scans are taking longer and longer to complete. Scans went from taking one to two hours to complete to three, and now this scan has been going on for four hours and thirty minutes. Please help me, my computer is old, and I cannot have intensive programs like MBAM take up valuable memory for extended periods of time. Thank you.
  14. Hi, Very many thanks to Malwarebytes for provision of such an important piece of software for free. I did a scan and detected 13 items - I clicked quarantine and then they all seemed to have been deleted. Can anyone explain what the log means and what threats were actually present on my computer? 15. HI guys, I'm new here and it seems like I need some help with Malwarebytes. The thing is this, I've done a full scan with Malwarebytes earlier today and didn't have time to remove the threats that were found so I just closed MAMB and put my PC to sleep now that I wanted to remove the threats I (and I'm embarrassed to say this) kinda can't find out how to do it. So to be more specific the question is: is it possible to get that page where it says something like "...items detected what do you wanna do with them". What I tried so far: I looked at the log files that MAMB creates but there are some registry keys or PUP's that I'm not able to find where they are or how to remove them. Thanks for any replies. P. S. This is my first time here so if this post is in the wrong place feel free to remove/replace it anytime or tell me and I'll do it myself.
  16. I was just wondering is there any way from the console to remove threats on the client computers, because right now the end user removes the treats after they are quarantined. Because I don’t see anything in the management console that allows me to delete threats, or am I just overlooking that feature? I would like to remove the end user totally out of the picture as we all know they want check for months if that. That causes a lot of false positives. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
  17. Whats going on with the Malwarebytes? I have always had it and it worked great! Now all of a sudden it doesnt seem to want to work the right way ... and every time I tried to use it it would tell me that it had an updated that it needed from 70 something days ago .. and then when I tried to update it , it then gave me an error. SO .. I have since clicked mbam-clean.exe and run it which it has uninstalled the program from my computer. I then re-installed it and I am now running a full scan. However with that being said I am NOW getting tons of pop ups all of a sudden that is saying : Malwarebytes has blocked and quarantied a threat: c:/Windows/scvhost.exe Trojan.Agent. I have probably got one after another at least 100 little pop ups that come up at the bottom right hand side of my computer through out the time it is doing a full scan. HELP ! Why am I all of a sudden getting all these pop ups one after another, and what are they ????? Please help me asap. P.S - I am including a screen shot of what the pop up looks like and what it says. Just look for the red arrow in my screen shot and at where it is pointing to ..... Also please inbox me if you dont mind to tell me what is going on , cause I'm afraid I will not be able to find this post again.
  18. AutoCompletePro Help!! Okay here's the summary: Recently a few days ago, I decided I would convert a video from YouTube into a dvd. I downloaded Freecorder and DVDFlick, it made changes to my computer. But after downloading it, I learned that Freecorder's process of converting videos allowed for viruses. Also, it changed the appearance/toolbars of my web browsers of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. So I tried un-installing it but I wasn't able to get rid of it. So I uninstalled Mozilla FireFox and removed the toolbars, but I wasn't able to get rid of it entirely. It left some files that were empty shells, example: a folder that was named Freecorder. No matter how many times I deleted the folder it would always come back. I decided I would rename the folder and delete it, it never appeared again. I then installed Mozilla Fire Fox again, the newest version I think. I uninstalled DVDFlick in fear that it was virus filled too. Thinking I had no problems in my computer, I began to normally search and surf the web. Next, I noticed this "AutoCompletePro" Problem when I was typing in DeviantArt's search box. It gave me suggestions of things I never wanted to see. And it was very similar to this other person's picture. http://forums.malwar...howtopic=106199 Clicking on one of the suggestions lead me to a different search engine with no name. After searching on what this "ACP" was, I found out that it was some sort of virus. I tried uninstalling it in programs but I could not find it anywhere. ACP had a disable function but whenever I pressed it, it would always come back. My question is, What is AutoCompletePro? How can I get rid of it? Where did it most likely come from? Was it from Mozilla or something else? Is it safe? Do I need to worry? Please help me out, I'm really worried, and I'm not very tech-savy when it comes to these virus things...
