  1. Hi, I downloaded an unsafe file that included bundleware and, not knowing any better, clicked accept on some of the offers, which allowed a few viruses to invade my computer. Those included Segurazo and Chromium, but to my knowledge I have managed to completely get rid of Segurazo. I have used Malwarebytes scans several times after downloading the unsafe file, over the course of 4 days now, and while it has done well to get rid of most of the PUPs that came with it, the scans will not detect Chromium. Although I have managed to delete/uninstall most files named Chromium and ended its tasks in the Task Manager, the virus still persists within the background processes in the Task Manager and sometimes under the Microsoft Edge tab within the Task Manager, and in my files, unable to be deleted. It isn't giving me any more pop-ups at this time, but the last time I turned on my computer I was completely unable to load websites on Microsoft Edge, but the window was open. I restarted and am now able to access it to make this post. Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated! I haven't seen anyone really talk about Chromium Update (32 bit) in their Task Manager. Images of Chromium in my files: - - Images of Chromium in my Task Manager: - Note: Chromium Update (32 bit) will sometimes appear as 2 or 3, but in this screenshot it is just 1 FRST.txt Addition.txt Malwarebytes most recent log.txt

Windows defender quarantined the files before malware bytes may have had the chance to detect it. Is this trojan(where as i will just delete the infected files or find ways to keep it from coming back) or should i stop windows defender from deleting them and quarantine them. 4. Hi everyone, this is what i found on my google plus (its in the attachment)
  5. So I've been away from my computer for a hot minute and before I left I uninstalled MWB because i think it was causing issues. Flash forward to today, where I reinstall and restart my computer because I really want to make sure my computer is clean. However, after I reinstalled, whenever I try to launch the program it refuses to load. I'm a little bit concerned right now, is it possible somethings going wrong or am I just being dumb? PS I'm not exactly the best with computers so I might need a bit of help with spec-related questions if they arise.
  6. I can't install malwarebytes due to the above error. Dnsapl.dll is missing rendering IPv6 unable to connect. Is this required for installation? Have a nasty virus on my Sony viao laptop. Any assistance installing malwarebytes of any kind would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm screwed without help at this point.
  7. Hello, The past few days (starting the Friday of 5/23/14) I have been noticing some problems with my MBAM. I have been noticing some issues with it attempting to initiate. I have gotten no crash reports, however, when I open up Task Manager I watch it. It proceeds to launch at 2 MB of RAM (a side from the normal 75 MB) then it just terminates. I do not do anything. I began to remedy this by using MBAM_Clean.exe and then re installing MBAM after the clean is complete. I would attach images but its just not possible with my issue. Please help me out; I would really like this put to sleep. -Diamond

  10. Is this a false positive? Thank you for your help a couple of days ago <http://forums.malwar...howtopic=119465>. I think I've found another one. A scan of the computer turns up this result. " ...\GCC4TI 0.96 Beta 10 (win32 setup) -gcc4ti\setup-gcc4ti.exe (Trojan.Agent) -> No action taken. " setup-gcc4ti.exe is the installer for the GCC4TI project, an SDK for the TI-89, TI-89T, TI-92+ and TI-V200 (collectively known as TI-68k) calculators in the C and ASM languages. <https://github.com/d...uxl/gcc4ti/wiki> or <http://trac.godzil.net/gcc4ti/>. I'm fairly certain this one is another false positive since this same file came up clean when I did a scan just a couple of days ago. 11. Is this a false positive? Scanned of computer turns up this result. " Registry Keys Detected: 2 HKCR\CLSID\{E9373BD9-7363-427F-A2A6-1E8BA91FFB3E} (Trojan.Agent) -> No action taken. " tiemups.dll is part of TiEmu - a TI89(ti)/92(+)/V200 emulator, and seems to have had issues as a false positive in the past since a google search turns up: <http://sourceforge.net/projects/gtktiemu/forums/forum/73169/topic/2094898>. I'm not sure what the registry keys are. I suspect they are part of that same program (which for some reason was really annoying to get installed and set up correctly) so I left them alone (I didn't want to screw up something in the registry by removing them... I just hope I did the right thing). Scans of this PC with AVG and Spybot Search & Destroy both came up clean, so I'm really hoping the keys are also false positives. But I'm worried since today was the first time Malwarebytes Anti-Malware got updated on this PC in a month and so they might be unrelated to that program and be actual problems. -Files and log attached, not sure how to attach the registry keys (or if you even need them). So far nothing has been removed or deleted. Please help. Thank you. tiemups.rar mbam-log-2012-12-12 (05-28-22).txt
  12. For the past couple of months my laptop has been acting weird. Everytime I try to update my laptop it either won't allow me too saying the updates failed "code FFFFFFFE". I recently downloaded malwarebytes and when I run a scan it says it found two problems, those being the svchost.exe file. When I try to remove them it says my laptop needs to be restarted for it to remove them. Only problem is for the last couple of months whenever I have tried to restart my laptop it will shut itself down but on starting back up it freezes on the hp screen where it says press esc for more options. I cannot do anything once it freezes on that screen so I just turn the power off and turn it back on. Im no computer genius but I'm sure this is not a good thing. I don't know what to do. Almost every solution I have seen requires me to restart my computer but that is not an option since it always freezes when I try to restart. It also occasionally freezes once I login, as well as the occasional random blue screen. I'm sure that the svchost.exe file has something to do with it, but wouldn't be suprised if there was an other underlying issue. I have searched for help for months. Any advice? Thanks for taking the time to read this, any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't have enough money to replace this laptop.
  13. so i was using the facebook video calling wit ha friend and when we was done i ran the uninstall but for some reason the facebook updater was still in the start up list when you open up msconfig and go to start up its their and i dont know how to remove it.
