Hello, I have been trying to remove recurring PUPs from chrome, following the steps here: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/263016-chrome-pups-keep-coming-back/ I have made it to the point where the steps were specific to the hardware, and there are 2 PUPs that continue to reinstall themselves. Is this something that I should concern myself with, or just ignore? Thank you log.txt
To anyone who can assist! I have come across an issue with my internet being increasingly slow. Upon further investigation, and using Malwarebytes excellent detection software, i have found that malware (pup bikiniland, pup ask) being continually being reinstalled and present every time i reopen chrome. I have tried resetting the "account sync" for Chrome per the instructions of the post that solution regards, to no avail. My PC came with preinstalled Windows 10 and I've got this PC for 2 years. It is ASUS laptop (Republic of gamers). I would check the model but I'm not home yet...so ill update that later. Windows Defender keeps telling me about this PUA. I have been scanning my PC all over again and tried clearing out temporary files and such but still shows the PUA as active,I have F-secure installed and as my main AV but I did a full scan with WD too after getting a blue screen while browsing internet. I know the Recovery folder is not even visible by default...I know I can't access it even when it
