I've deleted all my cookies and history and settings and extensions from chrome but nothing hel
  3. My nightly scan has found these 3 PUPs twice now, even after i quarantine and delete them. I ran the eset scan on my App Data folder and it does not report a problem. My only anti-virus is windows defender and MBAM premium is my only malware program. Hoping someone will help me decipher this report and help me completely remove this or else say if it is a false flag. Thanks! malwarebytes.com.txt

  6. Hello. My name is Ane Mari Tache from the Innovative Solutions Grup. We are the developers of the Orange Defender PRO program. It seems that your AV program Malwarebytes is flagging our program as PUP.Optional.OrangeDefender on VirusTotal. As a software developer I can strongly and sincerely vouch that the files bellow don't contain any malware or PUP files. I have worked on these products, and know with 100% certainty that they don't contain malware. Please either whitelist our products or tell us, in detail, why they are considered malware. We would gladly cooperate with you in ord
  7. Hi, There is something in my Chrome profile that Malwarebytes is not liking. I am fairly certain that its in my profile since I am getting the same detections even after a fresh install of windows. I have read the Blog about PUP's (https://blog.malwarebytes.com/detections/pup-optional/) But i Can't find any info on this specific PUP.Optional.IbbCo.PN So I am looking for more info about PUP.Optional.IbbCo.PN specifically and what caused it. Thanks for taking the time to read this! PUP.Optional.IbbCo.PN C:\USERS\User\APPDATA\LOCAL\GOOGLE\CHROME\USER DATA\D
  8. I have a couple of PUPs that i want to keep, and it annoys me that they keep coming up in my scans. I want to know how to exclude SOME PUPs from my scans, but i cant figure out how to do that. If you use the "Allow" list, please tell me where to find Registry Keys, and Values in explorer (If thats even possible). IF there is another thread with this information (Specificaly for Malwarebyte 4.1.0) please give me the link Thanks for any help given!
  9. Hi, I've been trying to fix this issue for 8 days mostly reading this forum and following instructions. Still, nothing seems to work. As you can imagine, every time I search something on Google (I use G Chrome) I end up getting at least 4 or 5 extra ad results (and the page takes way longer to load). With that, I ran Adware Cleaner and it detected 3 threats: PUP.Optional.DefaultSearch PUP.Optional.Legacy PUP.Optional.SofTonicAssistant When I quarantized the threats the ads were always gone, but it only lasted until I rebooted the computer. Reading the forum more I found
  10. Hello, first time posting so please excuse any formatting mistakes. So somehow I got segurazo today, managed to remove most of it thanks to jumping into paranoia mode as soon as i saw something. Managed to remove facemoods and conduit as well which had been bothering me for a long time. All these thanks to adwcleaner 8 and Malwarebytes. Now there is this persistent chrome extension showing up in adwcleaner classified as a PUP.Optional.Legacy but i can't find it anywhere and when i quarantine it, it shows up again every time i launch chrome. Attached is my latest AdwCleaner scan log. It seem

  14. Les PUP.Optional.Agent et PUP.Optional.Legacy ne sont pas éradiqués par AdwCleaner et reviennent à chaque ouverture de l'ordinateur (Windows 10). Pouvez-vous m'aider à les supprimer définitivement ? Merci.

  16. I think I installed it using a video converter, but now I can't get rid of it. If I run adwcleaner, it finds the Pup, send it in quarantine, but once I restart pc that damned pup returns as soon as i start Chrome, everytime. (Malwarebytes doesn't find anything.). Any help will be appreciated.
  17. Hi, I have Malwarebytes Premium installed which does not give me any kind of problem in the scan, but if I run Adwcleaner it is a "PUP.Optional.Legacy Chrome Avira SafeSearch Plus extension". After removing it through Adwcleaner, on the next restart Google Chrome installs it again even if I deny the authorization. I searched on the forum and in the closed post "I'm infected - What do I do now?" it was written to open a new one with the FRST.txt and Addition.txt files attached and so here I am. The result of Adwcleaner is also attached. Thank you. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  18. Hello, I'm working on my parent's computer. Thought I could do a couple of scans to help them. Laptop was running slow, had .dll error popups all the time, computer/printer both had trouble with going offline, found privacy settings all messed up. I'm infected - What do I do now? 24. Every time Google Chrome syncs, I get infected with 26 PUPs called PUP.Optional.ItoMedia.Generic. They exist in the Chrome\User\Default directory. The only way to cure this so far is to uninstall chrome and delete the user data directory. This is NOT a false positive. These pups cause various havoc on the computer and take down internet explorer as well. Does anyone have a procedure to clean these pups at the source?
  25. So i have a windows laptop and I just downloaded Malwarebytes to scan for viruses. First scan found several hundred viruses. I quarantined them and removed them and scanned a 2nd time. 2nd time found 5 viruses during the heuristics phase of the scan. it keeps finding this PUP type malware and no matter how many times you scan the computer it cannot be completely removed. If i scan the pc, and say it finds 5 threats, it will only allow 4 to be quarantined, always leaving 1 of itself to remain on my pc. I have now scanned several times and it is still there everytime, with all threats quar
