I was doing a screenshot of a youtube clip and trying to paste it into paint, when I tried to save the file to my pictures I got a window error "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact you system administrator." All of a sudden Malwarebytes started to quarantine some PUP's. When I go into My Computer/This PC I cannot see any of my 3 disk drives. I have my OS and a few programs such as my browser on my SSD and the rest are split between two HDDs. So at the moment file explorer grants me no access to my documents at all...I tried to plug
  2. I've got a Windows 7 computer that was behaving oddly / poorly. After this behavoir started, Malwarebytes and Avast were downloaded and installed. I'm not sure if Avast cleaned anything before I started working on the machine, but it's now at a point where running a boot scan in Avast comes up clean with the exception of the fact that it looks like there are certain files it can't open because they are encrypted. I see in the logs in Malwarebytes that it has Quarantined a "PUM.Hijack.StartMenu" piece of registry data. At this point,when I run a full scan with Malwarebytes, it comes up clean, b
  3. Problem: COmputer laptop turned off on its own. WHen I turned it back on it gave me a systems error. I ran MALWAREBYTES and it found PUM.Hijack.Desktop and its unable to remove it. This is at the end of the log: Registry Data Items Infected: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\ForceActiveDesktopOn (PUM.Hijack.Desktop) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Delete on reboot.I followed the instructions listed in this forum and I will paste the DDS.text and the ATTACH files below.
