  1. Hi, I have received a few reports of Trojans on my computer (See report below), I think linked to Microsoft Outlook. Is this a virus on my computer or is it something I am doing. Is it something I need to worry about and get rid of? Many thanks. 2. Outlook exploits are getting blocked on my laptop, but not on my desktop, yet the settings are identical. 3. Our work from home computers cannot access Outlook anymore since MB is blocking the same exploit that I see posts about from 2-3 years ago. We can't get into delete the offending email as "Contacting Server" pops up and then MB crashes the program. It is now happening throughout all the desktops of our visual & graphic media teams. I see a MB post from April 2017 that is a known issue and you are working on it. Its 2020 and I can't find the answer for why its happening in 2020 or how to stop it as we crash or the block kicks in from MB. Help is appreciated.
  4. This is the error that crashes Outlook 365. if outlook is ran as admin, it runs fine. i have run MB repair tool with no changes. i have run Office repair with no changes. Disabled web and malware protection in Malware bytes with no change. AVG is current AV installed. mbst-grab-results.zip
  5. Updated to 4.0.4. this morning and Outlook 2010 immediately became slow at downloading and sending emails. Images in emails are especially slow to download in the reading pane. Sending basic text test email take over 30 seconds to send whereas before I estimate it took 1-2 seconds, basically instantaneous. This is a backward step in productivity. Is there good reason for me to put up with this? Or can it be fixed?
  6. I installed Malwarebytes to remove some malware. I used to use Malwarebytes a few years ago and had to uninstall it because of compatibility problems with some of the software and apps that I use for my business. After I installed Malwarebytes my Outlook prevented me from clicking on links especially the link to verify my email for Malwarebytes Forum. I receive the message I have uninstalled Malwarebytes and still have the issue. I've followed Microsoft's recommendations of editing my Trust Center information to no avail. I've attached the zip file you need to look at my system.
  7. I've been getting reports that Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium (the paid version) has been causing Outlook 2016 Home & Business (not Office 365) to open so slowly as to not be usable and sometimes to quit functioning altogether, after which it wants to be opened in "Safe Mode". It also seems to be "screening" the POP3 emails so that they take forever to download. So far 4 of my clients (all who are running Office 2016 H&B on Windows 10 Professional 32-bit and 64-bit version 1709 Fall Creator's Update) and now I'm starting to see the same problem personally. MB 3.0 seems to be the common de
  8. Hi Had an automatic protection not working issue after booting up yesterday (I assume a Windows update had given it a problem). Downloaded updated version of software & it cleared that problem. A few weeks ago I found the software had blocked outgoing emails from 1 of my Outlook accounts which I had dealt with easily enough by adding the details of the smtp. account to the exclusions list. Today, having reinstalled, it's doing it again. However this time even though I've added both the smtp account name and it's IP address to the exclusions list - it's still blocking outgoin

  10. Yesterday I started getting blocked when clicking on hyperlinks in Outlook. It happens on various emails. I get messages from Washington Post, Comixology, Nextdoor, etc. I tried putting Outlook.exe in the exclusion field but that didn't do any good. Kind of glad that didn't work. Don't want to know that I have to exclude the program I use the most. I've attached an example of the pop-up. Because it mentions "Website blocked", I cut and pasted the URL. That did no good either. That wasn't surprising.
  11. When I open Outlook 2013 with the gsyncit add-in enabled an AE block occurs. Running Outlook in safe mode or disabling the add-in produces no block. This occurs on the version of gsyncit that I had installed (v.4.2.292) and the latest (v.5.0.72). Logs attached. Win10 Pro x64, fully updated as of 9/18 PS - Not sure if this is related but it appears to be: mbae-userdata.zip
  12. I have confirmed this issue on two separate PCs running Windows 10 and Outlook 2016. Immediately after installing Malwarebytes, Outlook 2016 search stops working. Instead of returning search results, it just returns errors labeled "Something went wrong and your search couldn't be completed." I have been using Outlook for years and I have never seen this error before. The error appeared immediately after installing Malwarebytes on one of my PCs. I tried reinstalling Outlook, creating a new Outlook profile, running Outlook in Safe Mode etc. But none of that worked. Then when I installed Malwareb
  13. this keeps popping up on my outlook - doing send and receieve http://prntscr.com/fifw4i What should I do?
  14. For no reason whatsoever, Malwarebytes 3.1 suddenly started blocking "outlook.office365.com" and forced me to add an "exclusion" for it. As far as I can tell, there is no good reason for Malwarebytes to indicate that the Microsoft Office 365 website is a bad destination. What gives?
  15. Today Outlook 365 is being blocked when it tries to pull in new mail. I verified the IP address. The IP addresses have been assigned to Microsoft. I added an exclusion (malware exclusion only) for C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\OUTLOOK.EXE I assume it is being flagged as ransomware since I am still receiving alerts and cannot retrieve my mail. Please fix this as soon as possible. I have only attached a few logs, I have hundreds. There was another IP but I cannot find it. If you can give me an easier way to parse these logs I could find it. Where are t
  16. Hello, Just noticed one of our clients with mbam 2.012 is not able to use Outlook. They are on an Office 365 plan and mbam is blocking office.outlook265.com. Currently it is only affecting a few systems. Thanks, shucky
  17. Outlook is blocked. It never was before. I'm attaching 1) screenshot 2) MB-check 3) FRST.text and addition.txt mb-check-results.zip Addition.txt FRST.txt
  18. Upgraded from 3.0.6 to 3.1.2 just now. Seemed to work fine; running my first scan. On opening my outlook email though, I got >100 real time detections with popups blocking outlook16.exe, host.exe, and other files from connecting to the internet. Never had any problem like this before and my system has always been clean from any infections. Ended up added outlook.exe to excluded processes and all seems well now, but not sure this is the best way to do things. I welcome any thoughts. Happy to provide any requested data (including exported logs from the events.... just didn't th
  19. I have installed the latest MB3, version, with Component Package 1.0.96, with update package version 1.0.1639. It seems to work fine (NO BSOD now!), but I have found that when I open an Outlook 2013 (local client) email that contains a PDF attachment, I get an error window saying that the Protected mode will not work with my current system configuration, if I double-click it to open it inline dynamically. I have to select the "Protected Mode Off" radio button to allow it to open this way. Opening the same item directly from Adobe Reader once detached works fine. Note tha
  20. I've been running malwarebytes for years. It just installed a new version 3.0.6? Now outlook can no longer talk to email server at GoDaddy. If I turn OFF real time protection - it works. Turn on real time protection and it does not work I have GoDaddy email websites listed as exclusions. i MBAMSERVICE.zip MB-CheckResult.txt
  21. Since upgrading Malwarebytes Pro from v2.2.1.1043 to v3 I have experienced problems with Office 365 being very slow to start and frequently freezing. I have set up Exclusions in Malwarebytes and whilst Office 365 opens more quickly now it is still very slow compared to what it was lke under v2.2.1043. As a test I have shut down Malwarebytes Pro v3 and that eliminates the problem. I have timed how long it takes to open Excel with and without Malware bytes and here are the results: - Without Malwarebytes: 1.5 seconds With Malwarebytes: 12.7 seconds Presently I can
  22. I just found this post. I have had this very annoying problem for the last couple of weeks. Finally today I tried to disable MWAM Website protection, and outlook was working again. Has this issue been resolved ?. I have tried to add outlook.com to the web exclusion, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I would hate to disable MWAM, but on the other hand, I need outlook to work. Thanks Jesper
  23. For some reason, Outlook won't connect as long as Malwarebytes' Website Protection is enabled. Since I use Outlook for my work (I work from home), I have to disable that feature in order to receive and send any emails. I've found I can't even use Outlook online as long as Malwarebytes Website Protection is turned on. I've tried whitelisting Outlook but it does no good. This is a shame since I paid for the Premium service but I'm unable to use the website protection feature that I paid for. Is there a workaround or is someone looking into fixing this soon?
  24. I recently had a hijacked email account. I wasn't quite sure if it was just the email account or the computer. I change the password and the next day it began again. There were no signs, only an email error after it had reached the 250 email limit. I scanned the computer multiple times with Malwarebytes with nothing found. I scanned with another product and it found it pretty quickly. It was called a faxtool email hijack. It was in the path c:\windows\system\scripts\faxtool.exe I'm curious about reporting errors or files NOT found. Windows 7 SP1 2.2.1... Malwarebytes updated
  25. I am running Office 2013 and Malwarebytes Pro seems to be blocking the connection to outlook.office365.com - It will work fine for a few hours and I will receive a "can't connect to Microsoft Exchange" error message. I have been systematically narrowing down what is the cause and ended up if I turn off the Malicious Website Protection, I immediately connect back to Microsoft Exchange.....until I turn MWP back on. I have tried to add https://outlook.office365.com to the "Web Exceptions" section of Malwarebytes Pro, but that does not solve my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
