  1. My Computer is infected with Magnipic. Computer is windows xp home. Scanned with adwcleaner but lost file and used revouninstaller to delete magnipic. I can only start computer at safe mode. I can download stuff. Magnipic doesen't show up in windows task manager.
  2. Hey all! I have recently removed a Trojen, Magnipic, from my computer. Now that I have scanned my computer and have found no corrupt files, I have noticed I am unable to open some, but not all .exe applications. Would anyone be as kind to guide me through some steps to fix this issue? Thank you very much! Dominic.
  3. Hey, I'm pretty new to dealing with Viruses, and this is the first time I've posted on a forum about it. This morning, I got infected with this Privitize VPN crap, but I only noticed it after I found that the processes in the task manager were filled to the brim with something called Magnipic, and after some research, I've found it was because of this Privitize I accidentally downloaded. Now, I'm running a full scan with MWB as we speak, but after looking through some old threads on other sites, I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to do a bit more than just that if I'm to be free of this thing. Seeing as I'm new to this, I don't know how to post those computer logs or anything, so if anyone could tell me how to do that, it'd be much appreciated.
  4. Hi, I am a rookie at this and got infected by searchou while I mistakenly accepted a PrivatizeVPN download. Norton Antivirus seemed to have stopped MagniPic but I still got the searchou problem (it shows up in the address bar in Chrome and IE). Otherwise my computer seems to work but is a bit slower. I uninstalled PrivatizeVPN but that didn't help. How do I remove it? What does it do - is it harmful to my files, my internet security or to people I'm sharing files with (through email or through dropbox)? Thank you very much! (I am not pasting a log - should I start by downloading malawarebytes and post the log from that?) Vanya

Please help me out my computer is dying "SLOWLY - SLOWLY"

  7. Hello, After stupidly having Privitize VPN and Magnipic on my computer for a good month or more now, I have finally noticed the terrible effects. My computer practically completely locked up and it was impossible to open any programs or the like unless in safe mode. I have followed the helpful instructions of Gringo on other posts with the same problem, but realized how custom they became and thus am an dire need of help! Any and all help would be extremely appreciated! Thank you
