  2. Hello! My computer has been acting very unusual lately. I am a malwarebytes premium user. My computer has been very sluggish, especially when running browsers. It is the most sluggish if running IE. The computer runs better but not perfect while in safe mode. I first noticed a problem while updating Java. It normally removes old version, but didn't this time, so I tried to uninstall it myself through control panel. I restarted the system, only to find the changes had been reverted. I then scanned with several different programs (logs attached, but unable to find malwarebytes scan, which showed system was clean). Other than cookies, suspected pup and "wecarereminder", it didn't seem as though anything serious was found. While scanning with Rogue Killer Premium, it reported about 8 hook.IEAT's, so I posted my results there only to be told they were legitimate. I attempted to uninstall MSE because I wanted to use malwarebytes as my primary antivirus, but after system restart, it was right back on the system as though I did nothing. I have tried to access system restore, installed windows updates, but am unable to, and am only shown some of the results in safe mode. While in regular boot mode, it hangs, then windows explorer closes. Can someone take a look at my logs and advise if there is a problem or not, and if clean up is needed, please assist with that? 5. I originally posted in Anti-Malware Help and was asked to post here. We Are having trouble with a pop up every time we open Microsoft Outlook. This started 4 days ago. I have been in contact with Microsoft and they assure me it is an infection. Basically every time we open outlook a square box pop up comes reading titled WINDOWS SECURITY. In the box it reads CONNECTING TO OFFICE.MICROSOFT.COM Underneath that it reads ENTER YOUR CREDENTIALS. This box when closed immediately pop up again and allows no operation of computer while open. Have run numerous scans with no virus being picked up. Malware bytes has always served us well but seems to be beaten on this occasion. Also around the same time as this started Malware bytes was showing in red I think stating a scan was required and our computer might not be protected. This is the first time this has ever happened. I am hoping someone has a solution to remove this virus. I am not a genius on the computer so will need clear instructions. Hope someone can help. Thankyou.
  6. Hello. Earlier this evening I opened a blog on Tumblr and it turned into a fake FBI warning thing saying I had to pay money via Moneypak because it was 'locking my internet' and I wouldn't be able to get on the internet anymore. It wouldn't let me use the browser X button to close so I used the Task Manager to shut off my Chrome browser. I ran a Malwarebytes full scan and it found nothing. I followed advice on the internet regarding getting into safe mode and doing a system restore, as well as checking various folders (like AppData) for suspicious files and even spent time looking for suspicious things in regedit from a list I found. Didn't see anything strange. Ran another scan while in safe mode and nothing. Cleared out everything (history, passwords, cache, the whole 9 yards) from Chrome, booted to normal mode. Ran Rkill and I'm mostly sure it didn't find anything either since it didn't say it did. Incidentally, I am using Chrome to type this and it isn't locked down. Is it safe to assume that I'm okay since nothing ever came up?
  7. Everytime I run malware bytes scan, I remove these two items but they show up again in the next scan. Is there a way to remove them fully from my system?? Any help would be much appreciated.
