  1. Hello, the moment I started to download this https://thepiratebay.icu/torrent/28780372/The_Upside_2018_720p_HDCAM-1XBET my laptop crashed and I can see pixelated static yellow/green lines even at BIOS. No virus infection has been found. This is not a problem of GPU it has happened again in the past. I went to a technician and he fixed it. Also I can't start windows in normal mode, it crashes. How can I fix this?
  2. Hello, I'm having an issue with my computer that Malwarebytes isn't resolving. After downloading a certain program my computer instantly started running programs slower and connecting to the internet slower as well as not being able to connect. I haven't seen anything obvious in programs and features and can't figure anything else out. Computer Specs: Edition: Windows 10 Home Version: 1607 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4370 CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.80 GHz Installed RAM: 8.0 GB System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Scan log: Malwarebytes
  3. Symptoms: In any GPU monitoring program it shows that my GPU is running at 100% load and heating up at idle. No games running and with or without Firefox open. This will happen without warning and I have not been able to connect it to a particular program, process, scheduled task or time of day. It will reset if I reboot, only to start again randomly. It can also start when I'm not on the computer and the screen (not the computer) has gone into sleep mode. Full disclosure I have been troubleshooting this issue for a few weeks so who knows how much I have muddied these waters. I'
  4. Hi forum! Recently I've noticed huge performance drop on my pc while running games, fps drop below 60 to even 15fps and stay there. GPU usage goes up to 97-99% on idle few minutes after startup and temp around 65-70. I need help identifying the root of high GPU usage. My PC is: i5 4690k GTX 980Ti
  5. Hi, my GPU Load is spiking to 85% every 8 minutes while I game, and it stays at 85% for about a minute, then goes back to 20% GPU Load. Here are the Checkresult files, FRST file, and Addition file. It may or may not be a bitcoin miner, but if it isn't please tell me the problem. Thanks! Addition.txt CheckResults.txt FRST.txt
  6. Hi guys, this is my first time posting here... hopefully I can get some great help from you guys. Lately my fps started dropping badly, if I play a game for more than an hour - a problem consists. This problem started happening around 2 weeks ago. At first, it was very minimal, so I didn't care. But then my fps started to drop to under 20 degrees every 3-5 minutes. My computer specs are (I know they aren't that good): Processor : Intel® Core i7 CPU Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB System Type: 32-bit Operating System, x64-based processor with Nvidia GeForce 310m --------------------------
  7. Hi I am new to the forums but I see the people here have helped a lot of users. I think there may be unwanted programs running in the background of my computer that I am unaware of. A game World of Tanks used to run at 120fps, and gpu~30% about a month ago. now it spikes up and down from 40-55fps and gpu spikes upto 100%. Can anyone help me?
  8. I have had the following problem recurring over and over again, but cannot find any way to sort this out. The computer boots clean and works fine. When I launch Facebook/candycrush/youtube, the GPU crashes and restores.I usually loses the chrome page. In many instances, GPU tweaks report 100% gpu usage, and the fan is at max. Sysinternals process explorer/windows process explorer or process hacker 2 do not report any GPU usage. What could go wrong ? How do I pinpoint the problem and proceed from here ? I suspect a stealth coin miner...A reboot only restores the GPU to 0%. Malwarebyte or Micros
  9. Hello, After clicking a link from my friend over skype, my chrome browser downloaded a picture. When I opened the pic it had a cross over it with a directory on my HDD. I ignored it for a while until I noticed that my computer's fan was extremely loud and it was coming from my gpu. I checked hardware monitor and after booting up, within an hour my gpu load shot up to around 98-99. I was idle listening to music on Spotify. My first inquiry is, do I have a gpu miner virus? Second would be are any of my passwords compromised? Both pics show the load and gpu activity, oddly though, the lo
  10. Hello, The problem suddenly occured earlier today when I started my computer. GPU usage and temperatures are normal few seconds after I log into the windows, but afterwards they start raising very quicly. Currently on idle, GPU usage is 99% and temperatures around 60-70c. Any ideas? - Juha
  11. My GPU usage shoots up to over 90% when idle, however it drops immediately to 0% if I open up task manager or process explorer. Here's the results from my most recent scan. 12. Hi there, for a while now, I had been having trouble with my gpu, it would "jitter" and crash, having some "nvidia kernal mode crash" popup when it would happen, even games that didn't use any actual gpu power, after reinstalling windows 4 times, I took it to the shop I bought the parts from and they tested each part, saying it must be a virus and I thought, yeah I got some popups with my premium malware bytes, but I just thought it was a false positive, when I was installing it, as it had happened before, I didn't install the suspected program (4K Stogram, in case you wanted to know) and ev
  13. Hi, Using Catalyst Control Center, and MSI Afterburner it has come to my attention that while idleing, my GPU usage is maxed out a 99%, but is done so in such a way that the card is not overheating which would increase the fan speed and make the issue more noticeable. I concluded that this was a mining malware using my card for hashing, most likely either for litecoin or bitcoin. I ran a full scan with Malwarebytes anti malware Pro and mbar.exe but I found nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated. This will be my first time requesting malware removal assisstance. Ellis
  14. so... for the last two months or so I've been battling what I believe to be malware that's using my gpu to process some sort of information when I'm not using the pc. It may be mining for bitcoins... but the important part is that anytime the pc isn't in use for about 5 minutes the gpu starts to run at %100 power and the fans say low (I'm guessing so it doesn't alert the user to the fact that the cards being used) so the temperature hits 90+ deg C. the gpu seems to run around 30-45% even when I'm only using chrome and a few other basic apps. when it's "fixed" i see it running around 10-20% mos
  15. Hello again, So the thing is that my Gpu is a constant high load even when idle. Temp goes up to 60° + idle. Some research brought me here and the knowledge of possible bitcoinminer virusses. 16. I was playing a few online games today and I had a few seconds of lag (latency) issues and I knew from the moment it happened that something was downloading in the background. I have the real time update enabled and checking every 5 minutes. I have seen some other programs before have a way to not scan while CPU usage is above a certain percentage. Since video games obviously require CPU and GPU to play, is it possible to add in a way to have Malwarebytes not update if the usage on either one or separately is above a certain percentage? Hope you guys like this idea because it would be great fo
