  1. I bought an iRULU F20 music player from Amazon. It's very good. There is an option to use it in DAC mode to play music files that are on my PC, and send them through the F20 player to a good sound system. One needs to install the DAC driver from the iRULU website (I have attached it as a zip file) and then the instructions she sent me say I have to disable mandatory driver signature or the installation will fail. They have been most helpful before on other queries with the player but I have never done an installation like this before and thought I should check with Security. My Malwarebytes did not find any problem with the downloaded files, nor did Norton. Their message as below. Thanks, Matthew >> Hello Dear Matthew, Thanks for your choosing iRULU F20 player. Since WIN10 and Win7 not the same to operate, please check the enclosed instruation to install DAC driver to your Win10 device. And, very sorry for the inconvenience about the screenshot, since my laptop in Chineses version, you can follow the steps. Shall you have any other question, please contact me. Best Wishes, Mona How to install DAC driver on Win10-1.docx F20 DAC Driver.zip
  2. Should Malwarebytes for Mac's real-time protection be turned off before installing software? I've heard that antivirus programs can interfere with installing, but then again, they can help protect you....
  3. I've heard that if you get a new computer, antivirus programs should often be disabled before using Migration Assistant to transfer data to the new computer, because antivirus programs could interfere with the transfer. Is that true for Malwarebytes for Mac as well, now that it has real-time protection; i.e., should it be disabled before migrating to a new computer? Thank you!
  4. Much how many people were struggling with their website protection being turned off as soon as they attempted to turn it on awhile ago, Malware protection itself will not turn on and when you attempt to it turns itself off after saying "starting" for about a third of a second. i have tried doing scans and updates and nothing works.
  5. I was (am?) planning on buying MBAE for our computers. However, I have an issue and it seems the only way to test is to uninstall MBAE. I'm hoping there is an alternate method. System: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit IE11 MBAE premium but free trial Webroot Secure Anywhere Emsisoft Internet Security 12.? (released yesterday so it is up to date) Issue. Most MHT files result in "Internet Explorer has stopped working." Perhaps MBAE is doing its job stopping an exploit, perhaps not. Setup Saved website, before and after MBAE installed. When MBAE was installed it detected no exploits. (I assume) To determine if MBAE was causing the issue I logged in the admin account and "Stop protection" on MBAE. Opened MHT files and most crashed IE11 including the one saved a few minutes earlier with MBAE in protection mode. However, it seems MBAE is not stopped as it popped up with the messages. "cmd is now protected" "Internet Explorer (and add-ons) is now protected" Went to stop MBAE again and only the "Start protection" link was active. Logged back into user account received the message that MBAE was stopped. So, I tested the MHT file again. Crashed and MBAE stated CMD and IE were now protected. MBAE was opened Second and the general tab says "stopped" in black on red. So, how do I test to see what the issue is? Exploit or bug? Thanks, Jim
  6. Trying to solve a loading problem that started with the last MS update. MS system restore cannot do the restore because a progam is open. Suggests temporarily disabling all anti-virus and other programs of this type and running system restore again. Can't find any instructions on a temp disable of Malwarebytes. Can you assist.
  7. After Lenovo Superfish fiasco, another big issue came to light this week with Samsung PCs. It has been discovered by Patrick Barker, a Microsoft MVP that some Samsung PCs have Windows Update automatically disabled by a tool automatically downloaded by a pre-loaded software called SW Update which acts as the standard updater for Samsung PCs.
