  1. What is VidsquarE? The Malwarebytes research team has determined that VidsquarE is adware. These adware applications display advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. This one uses a DNS hijack to accomplish that and belongs to the DNS Unlocker family. How do I know if my computer is affected by VidsquarE? You may see these entries in your list of installed programs: and this type of scheduled tasks: and you may have seen this warning during install: How did VidsquarE get on my computer? Adware appli
  2. Hi, A while back I was getting CloudScout pop-ups and ads in Chrome (no other browser). I did everything I could to remove them, even posting on BleepingComputer, but I just gave up in the end because they were intermittent and eventually disappeared entirely on their own. Now I have the same pop-ups and ads but this time they're marked "Ads by DNSUnlocker". My brother's computer gets the ads at exactly the same time as I do, every time. We're on the same network. Sometimes using Chrome's reset settings feature removes the ads for a few days, but sometimes it does nothing. I've run a fully
  3. I have been getting Cloudscout adverts, popups, and page redirects in Chrome for a long time. I would run Malwarebytes, and adwcleaner, the would find nothing, but adwcleaner would reboot my computer and the adverts would be gone for a while. Tried clearing my cache, resetting my browsers etc. but they still kept coming back. Then I started getting DNSUnlocker adverts, and decided to try and get help getting rid of these adverts altogether. (link to the attempt to fix here:http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/cloudscout-dnsunlocker.218944/) The guy who helped me couldn't find anything
  4. I really want to get rid of these Cloudscout ads. I've run Malwarebytes, HitmanPro, CCleaner, Advanced System Care 8 and IOBit Malware Fighter but none of these have been able to get rid of these ads. I've done some searching on other topics with this exact problem and I have the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool files. If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. It's been driving my family and I nuts. FRST_12-07-2015_22-06-41.txt Addition_12-07-2015_22-06-41.txt
  5. Hello everyone, I'm getting these really annoying CloudScout ads all over the store page on Steam and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get rid of them. I initially had them in Google Chrome as well but I was able to get rid of them there. I removed all my new programs from the "add or remove programs" section of my computer. I've run numerous anti-virus/adware/malware scans to no avail (I've run adwcleaner, malware bytes, hitman pro, avast, ccleaner, herdprotect scan). Nothing seems to be picking it up. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing steam multiple times to differe

  8. I am in serious need of some help. I have been trying to clean a family member's laptop for over ten hours, and the final remaining bug is Cloudscout. I have tried FRST, JRT, Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Avast, CCE, and probably about 4 other programs that I am forgetting. It simply will not go away. It's not present in the control panel, nor is it in any extensions or add-ons page for either of my web browsers. For convenience, I will run a FRST scan and attach the FRST.txt and Addition.txt logs Please help me somebody...anybody... Addition.txt FRST.txt
  9. Hello, I am unable to remove CloudScout from my computer, and I've run a few anti-virus scans on it - McAfee, and various other ones that I downloaded when I looked up how to remove this virus (as well as MalwareBytes). (Please forgive me if downloads form the other temporary anti-virus scans might interfere with the data, as I didn't know that could be a problem until now.) Still, though I've run the scans, I am unable to remove it, or the virus might be temporarily removed, and then comes back right after I restart my computer. It's frustrating, as I've spent an entire week on trying to g
  10. Hello, I unknowingly downloaded a program that contained malware, infecting my laptop. This occurred about 5 days ago. I then immediately performed a threat scan with mbam and in turn quarantined/deleted the detected files. Everything then seemed fine except for one problem. I am now getting these ads showing up in my browser everywhere I go. They all say "Ad by Cloudscout" under them as well. They even show up in my Steam client and in game home page as well (Counter Strike Global Offensive). I have tried everything, including following this guide: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/ads-by-cloudsco
