  1. My BG witch has always blocked http://iptest.malwarebytes.com/ and https://iptest.malwarebytes.com/ now it does not block them. I'm on the lastest updatefor firefox also lastest update and my OS is MacOS monterey

Dear Malwarebytes , Recently , some Malwarebytes user discover , when the language was set to Traditional Chinese , the Setting > Notification > Play Mode > Add function cannot correctly identify the files or application (*.exe) , it's only identify the folder , and could not be add into the list . However , when user change the language to the English , this issue will be not exist . Here is the screenshot : It happen on my main system and VM system , also many Malwarebytes users with Traditional Chinese setting also experience the same problem . Hope Malwarebytes can identify the problem , if official need more information , please that me know , thanks .
  3. fresh install of windows and for the years i have used the free version ive only had this issue once now im stuck considering reinstalling windows AGAIN! because of this soooo i think i remember the last time i fixed this was disabling register with security center so why the F is this function locked behind a PREMIUM ACCOUNT WHEN THIS FUNCTION NEEDS TO BE DISABLED BY DEFAULT since no one has figured out how to fix this bug my windows defender is stuck off all security services are set properly and running but unable to change registry values DisableAntiSpyware = 1 DisableAntiVirus = 1 too " 0 " and because of this i have ZERO PROTECTION could someone reset my trial period so i can fix this without jumping a bunch of hopes

Hello, Back in May of this year I reported a bug to Malwarebytes by email about the Malwarebytes For Chrome browser extension conflicting with the Video DownloadHelper extension for Chrome, and this bug was confirmed by Malwarebytes after I reported it by email months ago. Here is an edited version of my report from back then: This conflict is still there, I was asked to report it here when I emailed Malwarebytes again to see if this bug was on the list of bugs to be fixed. This problem is pretty annoying for me and has prevented me from using the Malwarebytes extension for long, I have to keep disabling it, and so I usually give up using it until the next version comes out hoping that it will be fixed. I like the Malwarebytes extension and I would like to be able to use it again full-time one day and recommend it to others if this problem is fixed one day. Thank you, -John Jr
  5. Trying to dowload a csv file of my registered vehicles at Vehicles - Get I-PASS (getipass.com) https://www.getipass.com/vehicles Malwarebytes Blocks. File download looks like this (the base64 text has been truncated in the middle): Download blocked: data:application/vnd.ms-excel;charset=UTF-8;base64,PGh0bWw....wvaHRtbD4= Malwarebytes Browser Guard scans downloads started in the browser and may block/remove the item if it looks suspicious. If you trust this content/site and would like to proceed, click "Continue". I've tried to press the continue button, but nothing happens. I've checked the "don't block again" and nothing happens. This seems like a bug and there doesn't seem to be a way of reporting it, just though I'd post this here.
  6. As many others noted last year in this post and this post and this post, MBAM's Web Protection mode breaks PIA's split tunnelling feature. I, using with Premium, have encountered exactly the same issues over a year later: split tunnelling works perfectly with Web Protection off but not at all with it on. I hope I'm being completely unfair here, but it's not a good look that MBAM has broken a major feature of a competing VPN just as they entered that space, and failed to fix it in over a year. There is a clear conflict of interest here and, as a paying customer, it doesn't fill me with confidence to encounter this sort of issue.
  7. When I am on my desktop, the Malwarebytes log keeps showing in the bottom right corner, it's not a huge problem, but it can be a bit distracting sometimes, and I can't seem to find a way to remove it.
  8. I just downloaded malwarebytes and when i was trying to install it i realized that the green bar got stuck and wouldnt continue the installation.
  9. Some weeks ago I realizad my Malwarebytes date is wrong. On "next scan" it says 01/01/21 and last scan says it was on 31/12/20. In the little icon at the top of the Mac screen says that scans are being done daily but when I check reports I can see that suddenly scheduled scans are not being performed. I deleted the app and downloade it again and I think it's working fine now but I still would like to know why this happened, I am a bit worried. Thanks
  10. Malwarebytes service eats around 25% of cpu the entire time making my pc slow. I have windows 10 and a premium subscription.
  11. Hey everyone! I'm new here! Forgive me if I messed up the tab, but I need help.. :( Recently, I caught some virus that constantly open Internet Explorer on some site. When scanning with the program, this virus appears... I clean up and restart my computer, but after the operation is complete, it fails! After restart, I scan again with the program and the virus is again here! I'm with Windows 10, 64Bit!
  12. description of the problem : Malwarebytes Browser Guard is caused of big files download interrupted in the Firefox web-browser version 70.0.1 just want to grab the newer updated version of ISO file for windows 10 by head over on Microsoft website , I click on the link to download the ISO file named (Win10_1903_V2_English_x64) but the downloads keeps falling for 3 times as of now . so the first thing I had to do is to disable Malwarebytes add-on as a test and hey the download now is back to normal and it continue now to downloading when I click on retry button .... the ISO file of Win10_1903_V2_English_x64 is about 5GB <
  13. Hello, I would like to report a bug. Currently turning on Exploit Protection in Malwarebytes 3 causes the Widevine CDM plugin to crash on non Chromium browsers such as Firefox or Brave. If you attempt to load a content webpage that uses Widevine such as Netflix, Hulu, or Crunchyroll the webpage will crash and will be unable to play video content while Exploit Protection is enabled. This is a bug that has been occurring for the last few weeks. Please fix it. Thank you.

With dark high contrast themes of windows, in the report window that opens by clicking on "View Threats Identified" and in the "Report: Scan" window when clicking on "View Report", the threats found are little or not visible at all, depending on the color scheme used. I've attached some screenshots.

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 I do not need help, this is simply a report of a bug I encountered while trying to install re-install MBAM I booted up my system today and was told by MBAM that my real-time protection was no longer working. while running through various normal troubleshooting steps, I discovered In the system event logs, that there was an error saying that MBAM could not start real-time protection because it could not find a specified file. my system is clean and has no corruption, so knowing sometimes this happens, I decided to download the latest version from the website and do a setup upgrade/reinstall. everything was going fine until I suddenly received an error message that said "Setup was unable to create the directory "c:\programdata\malwarebytes\mbamservice". Error 5 : Access is denied." I have manually checked the directory, and the directory, if it existed originally, no longer exists, or any other file in the "c:\programdata\malwarebytes\" directory. I know for a fact that there were files there previously. I don't know why setup is unable to create files there suddenly. setup was also unable to rollback changes. this is most likely due to what ever is blocking setup from installing mbam in the first place. running setup a second time, the process succeeded, which makes me believe it was a bug in the setup software. real-time protection also started working again after setup successfully ran.
  16. It's telling me my updates are not current but each time I hit "check for updates" it checks for half a second then goes back to "check for updates"...? Kind of irritating, I'd like to get this updated. I've power cycled and that didn't work so I'm not sure what my next option would be.
  17. I’ve had this problem for a while and nothing is helping! I go on my task manager and see 2 types of apps running in the background. Both called vmxclient. It won’t go to process if clicked and it won’t kill process....nothing. I notice that sometimes it appears and disappears from the apps tab. When it appears I hear my desktop fan going off the roof! When it’s gone it’s very silent. I also notice in my process tab a IGFXMTC.exe and a dwioaem.exe (4 processes). Nothing happens when I click on them. They just appear and disappear on their own. Please help!!!
  18. I recently upgraded from 3.3 to 3.4 and have noticed lag in Borderlands 2 when the game autosaves at a checkpoint. I did not have this issue with the 3.3 version and it only appeared post upgrade to 3.4. It makes the game literally unplayable. I have found other people who recently, as in the last two weeks who are having the same issue. https://steamcommunity.com/app/49520/discussions/0/1698293703772876529/ They also report the issue post 3.4 update considering the timing of the posts being March of this year. They solved it by disabling Malwarebytes Real Time protections. I can confirm that Malwarebytes is indeed the issue and when these protections are disabled the lag disappears. Please fix this, as I don't want to disable my protection just to play a video game.
  19. i was prompted to upgrade to the latest version of MBAM Premium the other night, and then today as i was sitting in front of my PC doing something else, my system suddenly went BSOD. or would that be GSOD (green screen of death)? the error on the crash screen, was "System scan at raised IRQL caught improper driver unload. caused by: MWAC.SYS it hasn't happened again, yet. but this seemed like an unusual enough error that i should report it.
  20. Not sure if this is the proper place to report this kind of thing but Malwarebytes has a conflict with Unity 2017. It seems that Malwarebytes causes an issue with indexing when it comes time to compile a project on Unity, leading to a "Moving File Failed" error, due to the project files being currently in use. Qutting MBAM immediately solved the problem. Sending a report to unity about this as well in the hopes that either side catches this.
  21. Reproducible: yes Scope: all users using MBAM 2.x or 3.1.2 OS: Windows 10, 64bit, all releases and editions* *haven't tested older OS yet. As decribed in ticket 2148930 Malwarebytes 3.1.2 aswell as Malwarebytes 2.x will no longer receive application updates. When searching for updates the application does never announce that a new version has been released (for manual download > 2.x users) and it will not update automatically (3.1.2 users). Thus users may assume their version is up-to-date while it is not. They cannot rely on the products automated / manual update procedure. There is no AV application that is causing the issue. Apparently the link to the download file / server in the application (3.1.2) is broken. I reported this issue back in May 2017 but till today the issues are not solved.
  22. I had this BSOD happen to me as well. I also have ESET. Only happened once so far, but I have been having extremely long shut down issues in excess of ten min. Once I removed malwarebytes, shutdowns are back to normal.
  23. Dear Malwarebytes, I have a windows 10 machine with the latest updates on it (latest was KB4088776 secruity update for windows). I need to use a piece of software for work which uses openGL and chrome for embedded. If malwarebytes is Quit, the program runs fine. if malwarebytes is running the whole system freezes up, including the task manager. I really enjoy having the real time protection feature of malwarebytes which gives me a lot of peace of mind. Please help me out here. I've downgraded to Malwarebytes 3.1.x to try work around. the issue only happened after the latest malwarebytes update.   24. Our technicians have noticed this on multiple Windows 10 machines we service. If the system is running in Safe Mode (with and without Networking), there is a white bar covering part of the UI towards the top (see attached image). This bar covers the Dashboard button, the result count of a scan, and the tabs when under Settings. Does not reproduce in normal mode. I have not been able to reproduce it on a Windows 7 VM (don't have a 10 VM to test currently). The machine that this was screenshot on was running Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299.248), but we have seen it on multiple Windows 10 machines with the latest build numbers. I have also attached the MB-Check archive from a sample machine (that is super duper infected). mb-check-results.zip
