  1. Greetings, I am getting a Bad Image file for two specific programs. I used to not get these errors The errors are for dll files The dll files will show date and time of recent boot and have zero byte The programs are Diablo 3 and Cosair Utility Engine I can reinstall both of the above applications and they will run, until reboot. CUE give me error every time and is a start-up app. Diablo 3 gives me error most of the time. Ran McAfee Anit Virus - no threats Ran Malware bytes, some threats found, removed, error still occurs. All threats appear to have been related to chrome extensions Ran sfc scan, no errors Issue started about 3-4 months ago. Unsure what if anything I installed at that time. System config does not appear to have any unknown services running at start-up Running Windows 10 64 bit Please forgive me this is my first time posting for support on this forum. Please point me to any rules for the proper way to ask for help.
  2. I keep getting this error every time i try to open one of my regular games, such as World of warcraft. I dont know how to fix it ive attempted a couple programs such as AdwCleaner. I need help i cannot play my games or run most .exe programs
  3. Four days ago I started having trouble with Facebook, lagging, limited access, often unable to log out, ad nauseum. I'm a freelance editor/minutes writer and have very particular computer habits when I'm working ... everything is shut down except for Word (latest version), Express Scribe Transcription software, and Outlook (latest version). I occasionally open Chrome browser to check name spellings in municipalities websites, but seldom keep the browser open. Yesterday I started getting a "Windows - Bad Image" popup (followed by a whole string of numbers, letters, etc.) I googled it, and see I may have malware/virus. I just noticed that since I could finally close Facebook, the popups stopped. But this scares me. I'm an older person who supplements my Social Security by freelancing. I'm not as sharp as I used to be with latest technology (even though I was a keypunch operator and word processor before there were desktops). And my tech guru died suddenly last month. Aarrgghh! Can a kindly soul help me through this? Been a Malwarebytes member for several years, never needed help before.
  4. I am having a horrible time with error messages on my Windows 10 PC. I get the pop up that I need to fix my Windows account and whenever I try to run any application, I get an error message referencing C:\Windows\system32\dxgi.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it has an error. I have McAffee, Malwarebytes 3.0 and I have ran adwcleaner (it found 67 problems that I cleaned) and the farbar recovery scan tool with no luck. Farbar logs are attached , ... 5. Hello: I'm new to this but I seem to have a somewhat common problem around here. I've been getting many error popups for some time now saying that I have a missing security.dll. I've run malwarebytes anti malware and have still been getting this problem. Here are my logs from FRST FRST.txt Addition.txt I've already removed utorrent (during the scan, so if it shows up, I've already removed it) Thanks in advance. (I couldn't make this post with the copy-and-pasted logs because it was giving me an error saying the post was too long, so they are attached).
  6. Hello, I have a laptop where after running Malwarebytes I started receiving errors claiming 'Bad image', all referencing to 'zipfldr.dll'. I tried running Adwcleaner, Combofix and Hitman Pro to no avail, and am still receiving these errors. The laptop had a selection of trojans, and at least one backdoor, and the police virus. I was wondering if there was a fix for this issue, as I can find people with similar issues, but no working soloutions in my case. Thanks in advance for any help. 7. Hi everyone! I have a problem. After cleaning computer with Malwarebytes, Windows is showing this error (in attachment). It goes away after clicking OK, but comes back again when opening any other program. What should I do? Thank you in advance for your attention.
  8. Um... Hello. I'm having a problem with several boxes with the title of... For example: "Insertsomethinghere.exe- Bad Image c:/progra~2/browse~1/browse~1.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. This happens when I turn up the PC and when I try to open almost all applications. The problem started after I use Malwarebytes to delete some disturbing malwares. Everything appears to work fine but those boxes are so annoying. Salutations.
  9. Hi, Since cleaning up my computer with MalwareBytes (a few weeks ago) I've been plagued by lots of warnings (ie perhaps 10) whenever booting up or switching user (there are two user accounts). The various warnings always refer to SearchProtect (which was thankfully removed) but the title bars change slightly: "userinit.exe - Bad Image"; "explorer.exe - Bad Image"; "dwm.exe - Bad Image"; "LoginUI.exe - Bad Image"; - and a long number more! Interestingly, when I downloaded CCleaner to my desktop then tried to install it, the warning box titled "ccleaner - Bad Image" appeared - still referring to SearchProtect in the main text. Eventually, my persistence paid off and CCleaner ran, but I saw no reference to SearchProtect. Can someone please guide me on what I should try next? Thanks in advance. J
