  2. I've been experiencing an intermittent problem since I upgraded to MB v3.2.2 where the Malwarebytes icon doesn't load in the system tray at boot-up. I can still launch MB from my start menu when this happens so I don't think it's affecting my real-time protection, and the icon loads correctly if I re-boot my system. I don't know if this is a coincidence, but I have my automatic Threat Scans set to run once every three days at 6:00 PM and mbamtray.exe only crashes at boot-up on the days that I have a Threat Scan scheduled to run. I had one or two of these crashes in the past with MB v3.1.2 and they also occurred on a day a Threat Scan was scheduled. I noticed that MadDemon64 posted about a similar problem today in the thread Malwarebytes System Tray Icon Missing After Latest Update so thought I'd go ahead and post about this. I have a few small (~80 KB) dump files I can attach to my next reply if that would be helpful. mb-check-results.zip Addition.txt FRST.txt Here's my latest APPCRASH report from this morning: ---------------------------------- Product Malwarebytes Tray Application Problem Stopped working Date 30/08/2017 6:31 AM Status Report Sent Problem signature Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbamtray.exe Application Version: 3.0.0.1169 Application Timestamp: 5997224a Fault Module Name: kernel32.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6002.19623 Fault Module Timestamp: 56ec3707 Exception Code: c0000142 Exception Offset: 00009f55 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3 Locale ID: 4105 Additional Information 1: 9d13 Additional Information 2: 1abee00edb3fc1158f9ad6f44f0f6be8 Additional Information 3: 9d13 Additional Information 4: 1abee00edb3fc1158f9ad6f44f0f6be8 Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: 1726386488 ---------- 32-bit Vista Home Premium SP2 * NS Premium v22.10.0.85 * Firefox ESR v52.3.0 * MB Premium v3.2.2.2018-1.0.188 HP Pavilion dv6835ca, Intel Core2Duo T5550 @ 1.83 GHz, 3 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS

  5. Ok, so I installed this program just last week, and everything has been fine. Today, I have the computer on and all of a sudden, I get a blue screen saying to restart the computer. I did not get a chance to actually get the error code for this, as I had no idea what happened (and I'm sick, so my focus is mostly shot). Now, Malwarebytes won't start. The Anti-Exploit that came with the Anti-Malware is working fine, but I can't get the Anti-Malware to work at all now. Here's the error I get when I try to open Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbam.exe Application Version: 2.3.125.0 Application Timestamp: 5612a56b Fault Module Name: MSVCR100.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.40219.325 Fault Module Timestamp: 4df2be1e Exception Code: 40000015 Exception Offset: 0008d6fd OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 8374 Additional Information 2: 83748d7ce6919cf452bf5c3838e036f3 Additional Information 3: 92c4 Additional Information 4: 92c4b3a26eb0eb624fc40372e7140107 What the heck happened and what can I do to fix it? Because if this happens a lot I find that really obnoxious, considering I've been told Malwarebytes is one of the best out there and it crashes and burns within a week...

  8. This is the response from my original post: The logs indicate that there is probably some type of infection going on. I would suggest following the advice from the topic here: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers (http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=119858 and having one of the experts assist you with looking into the issue. After scanning and cleaning if you continue to have updating issues that the helper is unable to resolve please let us know. My Original Post: I have been using Malwarebytes since before 2012 and it has always worked well. Recently it crashes whenever it checks for updates or tries to run a scan. I did an MBAM clean remove and a new install per instructions too many times with the same results. I also followed the instructions and ran the SCAN Tool and the MBAM check; Files attached. Also did a CHDSK and DeFrag. I get this Windows Error: Problem Signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: mbam.exe Application Version: 1.0.0.532 Application Timestamp: 53518532 Fault Module Name: MSVCR100.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.40219.325 Fault Module Timestamp: 4df2be1e Exception Code: 40000015 Exception Offset: 0008d6fd OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 FRST.txt CheckResults.txt Addition.txt
  9. Windows 7 Pro, 32bit. (NOT my system) A friends that I work with. Trying to install Mbam to run a scan, they had tons of random applications and tool bars installed as usual. Removed those and now I want to run Mbam and just clean up all the random stuff or anything else I have missed. I can download and install the software. However when I get the GUI and attempt to run an update or a scan of the system, getting AppCrash logs. Any help would be appreciated, honestly Mbam has always worked great for me. I have been using it for 5+ years. Never really had a problem I couldn't fix or had to log on here for. First time Post here. I apologize if I broke any rules. Logs are attached. Thank you again for any help provided.
