  1. I've notice a few issues with MB 3.0, one is that when you open it; it does not open to the desktop? it opens to the tray and it takes about 30 seconds of clicking on it to get it to open to the desktop?? it then reports that updates are current even when they aren't? you have to click 'check for updates' and it will proceed to download updates then report they are current? so it seems it does not check the updates validity when opened and just reports its up to date.. ...now for my main concern, when scanning my SSD it uses 100% CPU and 90-99% RAM..? soon as I pause the scan the usage drops, now i can expect 100% CPU but not 100% RAM of 8GB..? that sounds like a memory leak to me? I know SSD's are fast and it was scanning at 180MB/s in some cases, but surely MB should delete the file from RAM after its been scanned and is clean? meaning the RAM usage should never be over what MBAM uses and maybe 1-3 files its scanning any advice will be gratefully appreciated thanks
  2. Hello, I'm having the worst issue with my computer currently. I have used Malwarebytes and Spybot Search & Destroy for more than 3 years now, I've never had a problem. I've used these programs on other computers too, I even load everything into safe mode to do my scans. Once in a while I use my Hiren's 15.2 CD if I still see issues. Anyway, my CPU is running at 100% all the time now. I used Norton Power Eraser to find out what the problem was and it found something, I had it removed. Now my CPU is constantly running around 50-100%. When I check task manager, it goes down to 7%. Also my ram has been acting up lately too after I seen CPU problems. I'm constantly running on 2GB of ram(4GB total). Could you maybe help me with remote assistance or something please because this has went far over my head.
  3. First off, thank you for any and all viewers who help me out with this issue. I have class in a bit, and may prove unresponsive for quite a few hours, but I just wanted to see if there was anyone that could help me with this issue. I'm not really sure when this started, but for some reason, browsing on Mozilla Firefox has become strange as of late. Let's say I open a tab to gmail, google, and then youtube (in that order). On occasion, a fourth tab will open to a completely random site, usually identified as untrustworthy according to WOT. It's ranged from chat sites to porn sites, weird marketing schemes to random lottery messages. I ran malwarebytes, Spybot search and destroy, and SUPERantispyware. The usual tracking cookies came up, so I thought maybe the sites would eventually go way. They haven't. In addition, because I like to check how much RAM I am using, I discovered that when I open my task managers, 4 out of 5 times I will see my CPU running at max, and my RAM close to maxed out. Confused, I looked in the resource monitor and saw that the reason was due to PING.EXE. Google-ing this little program led me nowhere as some sites said it was harmful, others said it was dangerous. I tried the removal tips tha I could find, which told me to download tdsskiller to get rid of PING.EXE, but that didn't work. Whether or not PING.EXE is linked to my random tabs popping up, I do not know. But I do suspect the tdsskiller of being the culprit of giving me something new in my msconfig startup menu: the Widgi Toolbar That program is set to startup, and I had no idea how it got there. All I know is that it is recent. It's from Spigot, Inc or something. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to get rid of these two problems? In summary, my issues are: 100% CPU usage and RAM nearly 100% used (PING.EXE being the resource hog) and random tabs opening in firefox (not consistently, maybe every 15 minutes). Thanks in advance!!
