  1. Hi all, First time with this type of trouble and I've come across this forum via a Google search which I had started reading through this thread here: I will try to do my best here in understanding and communicating with the everyone and your knowledge. Thank you in advance for any help. I'll try and keep this simple and broken down into what I know. To start I am running Windows 10 on a Cyberpower PC that I purchased about 3 months ago. As briefly as I can be I use this PC strictly for iRacing and use only a limited number of applications that run along with it. I use Chrome as a web browser which is pretty much just familiarity and a preference. This whole adventure started when the command prompt opened on me in the middle of a race. I noticed in the task bar following this race that Internet Explorer and Chromium were there. Not thinking too much of it as this was the first time it happened I unpinned them and continued what I was doing. This happened again several hours later and I got to investigating this Chromium deal. I am now familiar with what it is and how it works and I also learned more about Electron and how it operates some of the apps I use such as Discord and Simracingapps. More familiar with how this all comes together I continued with trying to get these apps removed. Im almost positive I had uninstalled Chromium via the command prompt and a hidden folder in This PC>Windows(C:)>Users. I also took a second look at SAntivirus which is my fault for not noticing sooner and I found out all about that.. I followed instructions to remove SAntivirus by rebooting in "Safe Mode with Networking". The following step is to download and install Malwarebytes. As there seems to be no way to connect via WI-FI in this mode (which is currently all I am able to use) I downloaded on my Surface and tried to install but it still needs to download during this time so I could not do so. I went on to the next steps as they were 2 more removal softwares so I figured leaving one out would be just fine. These were HitmanPro and then Adwdefender. Following the instructions to reboot after the Adwdefender scan all I booted to was a black screen. I restarted using the power button on the tower out of frustration at this point with this already being a 4 hour headache. When I powered back on I navigated back to where I was given the options that included "Safe Mode with Networking" and others. Since I was familiar with that one during this process I chose it. Boot to black screen. Reset again and believe I chose the startup troubleshooting after finding it and chose some type of boot recovery. This is where i was starting to see red so I cant remember exactly and I dont want to really do much else on here using that route unless instructed to do so. But that sounds about right. This went through and finished and the pc booted and I am at my desktop and logged in. Now whatever it did to recover gave me a sigh of relief but now I have the apps that I originally started this process to try and remove(Chromium and SAntivirus)back again along with 2 or 3 others that I have decided not to use and had previously uninstalled. All I want is Chromium off of my computer for good. I'm sick of saying the word. I'm sick of looking at it. SAntivirus Realtime Protection Lite off my computer for good. I'm already planning on being more vigilant for these things as the SA snuck in thetr on me. Also using all three of these softwares in the future to help me do thst... if Malwarebytes doesn't hang up on installing that would be great too. Seems I'm at a point here where I can try this all again with some of your help. Thank you for your time, Ryan
  2. On startup my PC is at 81% ram usage and I have 16gb of ram. Currently my cached ram is 3.2gb and non-paged pool is 1.1gb. I'm on Windows 10 64-bit. I have already tried the regedit fix and that only lasted a day or two.
  3. Hi, This morning I woke up to my laptop finishing a Win 10 update, but a few things seemed wrong. At first there was no audio, so I restarted. Then the audio was way too loud, so I thought something might be wrong with the driver, and I restarted. This whole time, Malwarebytes was trying to download an update, same as it usually does every so often. After I finally gave in and updated, I restarted again. After that, I got a BSOD saying mbamswissarmy.sys was corrupted and that Windows 10 was gathering data to try to repair. The repair failed and now I'm in an automatic repair loop, where the repair fails and directs me to a Logfile called SrtTrail.txt or something. I don't have any restore points to go back to, and resetting the computer "keeping personal files" fails instantly too. I can access the command prompt, though it's a bit weird because it says X:\windows\system32> when I thought my hard drive was C:\. But I've seen other topics about this get resolved here with some kind of FRST tool? I do have an external hard drive with some free space on it that I can use as a USB drive. If there's a way to fix this issue, I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!
  4. Below you can find the requested files attatched and some other files that go with a brief explanation of the situation: I just bought a MSI notebook two days ago. Today I must admit, I was trying to download and crack MS Office using the Office Toolkit program. As soon as I opened the toolkit and selected activate, my laptop turned off and then I got the BSOD with a "critical error" message. My notebook rebooted automatically but is running noticeabily slower since the incident a couple of hours ago. I bought the Bit Defender antivirus along with the notebook so I performed a scan but found nothing. Nevertheless, as minutes went by I received 2 notifications of intends of infections by trojans. I have uninstalled the Office exe file I downloaded along with the Toolkit, deleted all the files I could in Temp. I have also noticed that when I enter the security section in the control panel I can read that it says: "Bit Defender firewall is not active" and "Bit Defender antivirus is not active". I pressed "activate" in both of those options but didn't get a response. However, hen I open the Bit Defender it says that my notebook is protected, so that's weird. You can also find attached other images with the following additional info related to them: I read in the Bit Defender : "El archivo C:\Users\Andrei\AppData\Local\Temp\518e6ef9-9cb6-45ed-9f86-1431c5f4cc8d.tmp está infectado con Trojan.Generic.19932993. El virus ha sido bloqueado con éxito y su PC ya está a salvo" and "El archivo C:\Users\Andrei\Downloads\Sin confirmar 74621.crdownload está infectado con Gen:Variant.Ursu.40791. El virus ha sido bloqueado con éxito y su PC ya está a salvo. Both mean that those files have been infected with a Trojan but the virus has been successfully blocked and the PC is supposedly "safe"...... Also, I found that the BD blocked 13 apps, all labelled as Malware. The last image is the BSDO I got. MWB scan log.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  5. Hello Malwarebytes ((Sorry its so long!)) Currently my DELL laptop is running slow and I referred to this topic for help. I suck at computers and wanted to remove the the virus manually through coding but that got me confused even more so I decided to go here and I found this : and I'm stuck at the 2nd step. I couldn't find " fixlist.txt file ". ( I have my FRST.txt and Addition.txt saved on my desktop already ) I understand that most pc's work differently and need different ways of fixing but I just decided to go through this route because I've been experiencing similar functions. The wifi has had the connection decreasingly dropped several times, it takes at least 5-7 minutes to boot up my laptop, the cursor seems to spazz out in rare cases, programs sometimes restarted on their own, i had one drive failure where it completely restarted itself and i thought it would be due to it heating up, and just overall everything is slow. The percentages on CPU and Memory are increasingly high (up to 98% at the highest) sometimes and then drop at around a 50%. I know I have a virus and I know MacAfee isn't the best, but I did a full scan and according to it, there seemed to be nothing but I know I have a virus that's just hibernating somewhere. From my past experience of having a laptop that got completely obliterated by this one virus/trovi, this was just the beginning. My original plan in avoiding this was to move some files and programs into an external hard drive, but I'm afraid some of them may be infected already because this has been prolonging for weeks now and I never took initiative action to stop it. update: it decided to change my desktop background too (fixed it with a restart) but my laptop is getting slightly more glitchy/laggy Addition.txt FRST.txt
  6. Hey, I have some nasty malware that is preventing me from running applications that require the administrator to verify the disclaimer by pressing "Yes". When I try to run a program, my screen is dimmed and I get the disclaimer popup for a brief moment, and then the popup closes and I get the following error message: "The extended attributes are inconsistent." Unfortunately this prevents me from being able to run Malwarebytes. I tried to use Chameleon, however all 13 of Chameleon's programs were blocked in the same way. Therefore I booted into safe mode and ran Malwarebytes from there. I did not have any issues running Malwarebytes in safe mode, and the scan removed 14 objects. I booted back into regular Windows however and the problem persisted. I simply have no idea what I must do. Please help if you can, I can't use my computer anymore and very much need your assistance! I am running Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview, Build 10122 Thank you for your time!
  7. I have avg security 2013 and just got malwarebytes pro .Can they be run together?
  8. Yesterday morning I discovered my World of Warcraft aattach.txtdds.txtccount had been hacked. I've been searching for what compromised my system. I ran complete scans with Microsoft Security Essentials, and Malwarebytes. I found no viruses or infections. I downloaded and ran tdsskiller and it found: Service: Creative Audio Engine Licensing Service, C:Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Creative Labs Shared/Service/CttAELicensing.exe and ForgedFile.Multi.Generic. Attached find the DDS logs Thank you in advance.
