  1. Thank you in advance. Any solution for "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application" windows 7 error message? A malware was stealing Outlook account data and sending lots of spam to <random_usernames>@qq.com I quarantined 60 threats and reboot. Then now I cannot open almost any windows application: A lot of windows applications started to have issues opening: IExplorer starts to open then closes. It is possible to open Outlook, but just in safe mode. MS word looks normal. Chrome opens but do not allow to save downloaded files. I found a similar issue, but without anny answer at: Thank you.
  2. Hello, For several weeks now I have been attempting to clean my pc. I have already posted in the BSOD's subforum to combat all the crashes in my computer and although I have already solved a number of them, the largest threat is now malware of which I am pretty sure has infected my computer. For instance Malwarebytes won't run, not in safe mode, not in admin nor in admin and safe mode. Malwarebytes Chameleon will only run when directly downloaded from this website but it is only version 2.2 and as I attempt to install the latest version, it becomes inoperable. It simply won't start. I have updated all my drivers manually including my BIOS, which made the computer nice and quiet I have run FRST, DDS, Rkill and Roguekiller and attached all files below but I just cannot get Malwarebytes threat analysis. I also booted with Bitdefender which solved one infected item. FRST.txt Addition.txt Rkill.txt dds.txt attach.txt rk_C314.tmp.txt
  3. Greetings, I've been encountering some REALLY strange system behavior recently. Sometimes my system randomly has the network connection and disconnection sound go on and off. I have routinely had to restart the computer to restore functioning of the wifi connection. The REALLY strange behavior is connected to my Skype account. After these little network hiccups, my Skype account routinely has the majority of my contacts deleted - with my status changed to a random string of letters. This happens despite me resetting the accounts password on a fairly routine basis. I have reinstalled MalwareBytes, and ran a scan that found nothing. At this point I think my laptop is infected with something really nasty. Any help I could get to try and purge the potential infection or workout what is happening would be appreciated. Warm Regards, ~Trav Addition.txt FRST.txt
  4. Hi, Having massive issues with my windows 7 laptop. I tried to login and it was stuck on the windows loading icon (>1 hour) before booting into a black screen showing just the mouse pointer which I could move around. Tried to boot it into safe mode but the exact same thing happened. I can get into the system recovery tool so tried a system restore but no matter what point in time I choose it fails. Trying to boot in to the last known good config also fails to produce a result. I can open the cmd prompt but don’t really know where to go from here. Considered downloading a win 7 iso image from them but as the product key on the back of the laptop comes up as (essentially) “this a pre installed key, please get in touch with your provider”. Please help!
  5. Hi all, In the past weeks I have had a surplus of different BSOD's. 0x00000024 - ntfs.sys 0x00000001 - tcp1p.sys (2 times) 0x0000003B - Ironx64.sys 0x0000007E - at1kmdag.sys 0x0000007F I am unable to run malwarebytes, neither as an admin nor in safe mode nor from the file itself. When I change the name of the executable file it immediately says that MBAM stopped working. I removed it just now and the file mbshlext.dll remains. I am unable to open sysnative bsod collection app even if I disable my Norton security. I have been able to scan with FRST and the files are attached. I have run chdsk and scannow in cmd and there is nothing wrong here. It mostly crashes on high performance games like Elder Scrolls Online or Rust, but also sometimes randomly. I have updated all my drivers and cleaned out all the hardware to rule out overheating, fans are working fine as well. I have already cleaned the registry with Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. 6. Hello, I've had to uninstall MWB Pro as it was suddenly causing problems. Because I had to uninstall to get this far, I can't say what version it was. Windows 7 booted normally and behaved normally until the yellow box came up in the notification area asking me to turn on som protections that were not turned on. Doing anything with this box (even dismissing it) caused the machine to slow to a crawl with CPU at 80% or so and eventually locking up completely. It would then behave normally until MWB's yellowbox comes up ... I'm running Kaspersky 2018 Internet Security so MWB isn't too important, but is very useful for finding PUPs and other trash. Should I download MWB again and install ? Regards Cheemag
  7. After all the problems yesterday (memory leak, computer crash...), I uninstalled MB 3.3.1.2183 Premium with MB clean up, waiting for a final fix. Please provide me with a link to download the latest version fixed so I can install MB 3 again, thank you. Also, tell me how to recover my license if the automated feature doesn't work.
  8. Hello. I seem to have a rather serious infection. I have no internet access. I can't turn on system restore, so no restore points. I can't reboot from usb or cd/dvd. Every attempt I have tried to fix issue has been blocked. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Jim
  9. Hi! I recently got a virus that shows about 50 explorer.exe files on my processes section. I had Avira and scanned my computer with it, but no luck. Then I got Malwarebytes, and it detected 6 unwanted programs. I logged on to my profile, but the virus was still there! I then got Kaspersky, and it didn't detect anything. I was wondering if any of you could help me? PLZ!!
  10. Hello, did a scan because CMD was running on start-up then closes itself, it was weird, and now Malwarebytes detected severals PUPs (yontoo and yahoo) and Hijack.Autorun in a registry. I put them in quarantine, did a reboot, now PC only starts up with CMD and blackscreen, so I have to type in manually start explorer, then everything works fine, what should I do with the malware, and how to fix the blackscreen issue? Thanks. EDIT: Starting Windows with Safe Mode with or without networking have the same issue. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  11. It's November 2017 and I just started having the problem Grenpara had in February. I cannot keep real time web protection ON. I follow the FAQ instructions: turn off enable self protection and restart. I'm good till the next morning; then process repeats. Today MB turned off ransomware protection. I have been waiting for 3 days for a reply from customer service. I tried to live chat but they only help with installation. Why am I paying for MB when it keeps turning itself off and I cannot get help from the company?
  12. If I leave my laptop (hpprobook, Windows 7) idle for a while, it shuts down and I have to reboot it. Also, AVAST somtimes notifies me that a potencially malicious code is preventing the scanning of my browser (Mozilla Firefox).
  13. About 2 months ago we started having problems with our Windows 7 machines getting stuck on shutting down during a shutdown or reboot process. We've narrowed the problem down to Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware. If we uninstall and reinstall it the problem goes away but it seems whenever we get windows updates it breaks it again. Anyone else see this problem and have a more permanent fix? We are running Anti-Ransomware for business 0.9.17.689
  14. RUNNING WINDOWS 7! I logged on my computer the other day and realized Explorer.exe was taking over 80% of my CPU. But that wasn't all. There was two "client" applications running(according to task manager) and a couple of vxmclients running in processes, that would also take up 10%. I searched the problem, nobody had a real answer. I decided to turn to mbar. I scanned a probably 3-4 times and it would find malware, but it would freeze and not respond every time. I decided to separate the areas to scan. First I did drivers, it found 1, and cleaned it up(woo!). Then sectors, didn't find anything. System is where it found a lot, but froze up. Yes, I updated it every time. I'm sorry if this is rude in any way, I am really frustrated(not at you). As you can tell from my username, it is my baby. Any help is extremely appreciated.
  15. Can I activate Windows 7 online using the Windows 10 activation key?
  16. Hi, I recently purchased MalwareBytes, cause there where pop ups on every single Youtube video I loaded. Recently, my screen started to act werid, the background looks like if the picture has been overexposed in Photoshop. As I downloaded the MB3, Windows pops a screen that says that I can't run the set up as it may be dangerous. I've seen around the forum this is something that has happened to other users. I already ran the FRST tool (I'm attaching the result if it is of any help), as pretty much is what I can do, cause the MBAR won't load neither. I really appreciate any help you could give me.
