  1. So I was trying to download a crack for a random Application and I did something stupid and disabled antivirus just to open the file I downloaded and I'm pretty sure that I got a virus/malware/something bad now. a lot of random stuff started to get downloaded to my pc and I cannot access apps like discord cuz it says I got no permissions and same when I try downloading Malwarebytes or other antiviruses. idk what to do please help.
  2. I was blocked for abuse on my internet connection, so I run some checks on the local pcs. See the attached logfiles for one computer that has a URLSearchHooks that isn't removable using AdwCleaner. ESET and Malwarebytes didn't find any virusses but ESET did show some outgoing (blocked) ICMP connections. Thanks in advance. Eset.docx mbam.txt
  3. Hello, last week I have found 3 different processes bumping my CPU up to 100%. All of them were located in the temp folder but were named lsass.exe svchost.exe and nv… .exe. I figured they were not windows processes because they weren't located in the system32 folder and were run alongside the real processes. I have managed to eliminate them through Malwarebytes but I noticed my computer was still acting weird by asking for my onedrive and outlook password all the time. I was also unable to reactivate windows defender (even before I installed Malwarebytes), I kept getting a message that this is controlled by my IT administrator which doesnt make sense because Its a personal laptop. Also today my Facebook account got hacked and deleted so it raised my suspicion that there are definetly some left overs. If you could please provide assistance I would be forever grateful, just want my laptop back. Thank you!
  4. HI... I have same issue and happening to me since today and all my data are encrypted. I share you files of mine. Can you help me to get my data back please ? Thanks, _openme.txt Ki-Man-Malwarebytes_01.21.2019.txt
  5. Hi. I have no idea what I have downloaded, but I recently got a virus called setup.exe. It keeps on making my computer freeze and has pop up ads. It is really starting to frustrate me. My computer has never had one of these before. I ended up finding a way to delete the root file that was causing it by taking ownership, but it just comes back after a few seconds. My computer is very important at it has my school work and stuff like that on it. I would really appreciate the help Furthermore I try and get malwarebytes to scan the folder, but it doesnt detect it as a threat:( Please I really need help
  6. my old laptop, Windows 7 is infected with a virus. I probably got it from inserting one too many Flash drives from my friends. It appears to be infected with some thing called "Files.bat" and a shortcut virus. I will also note that I found some processes in my Task manager that look suspicious. "hwbky32.exe" and "mldcn64.exe" If these are normal please tell me because I absolutely have no idea. So yeah, this is what my flash drive looks like when I insert it in my Laptop. Hope someone will help me solve this!
  7. I got hit too :( ,my encrypted files are extremely essential what can I do now???
  8. Hello, I built a new pc a month ago and it's been doing great until a few days ago that I noticed my cpu at 50% plus when idle/browsing with no heavy programs running. Everytime I run the task manager or similar programs I downloaded online, the CPU usage will always go down to around 1-5%. I ran a total scan using avast and I dont see any malicious file. I can't see what process/program is the culprit because everytime I check it on the task manager, the usage will suddenly drop and I can no longer see which one is using all the cpu. I've seen similar posts online and here, and tried to resolve it but I dont see any suspicious file and I really don't know which process is the malware. My Setup is: i7 8700k Processor, GTX 1060 6gb, 8GB Ram, Windows 10. I hope you can help me find some solution or better yet pinpoint the cause. Forgive my english. Thanks a lot=)
  9. Hello, the moment I started to download this https://thepiratebay.icu/torrent/28780372/The_Upside_2018_720p_HDCAM-1XBET my laptop crashed and I can see pixelated static yellow/green lines even at BIOS. No virus infection has been found. This is not a problem of GPU it has happened again in the past. I went to a technician and he fixed it. Also I can't start windows in normal mode, it crashes. How can I fix this?
  10. HI, Few hours ago my system got infected, I have read a lot of forums and have applied many tutorials to restore it, Most of it is restored as it was earlier installing many apps and shortcuts on desktops, that thing is gone now. What left is that it has infected sysWOW64/installshield/setup.exe which was trying to connect to some mining pools, I have deleted the setup.exe by becoming the owner of files ( apparently trustedinstaller was owner) After the setup.exe was deleted, now chrome.exe tries to visit some site which is blocked by Malwarebytes. I want to completely restore the system and would request the team to help me in this matter. I have logs of Malwarebytes, MB Adware remover, Farbar recovery. 11. As the title suggests, malwarebytes keeps skipping registry files and I KNOW that's where something is located that windows defender is too bad to detect... is there a way to maybe let it scan there at all?
  12. Hey there, I am Vicenç, a Spanish student in KTH Stockholm trying to finish my MSc degree. Recently, my laptop (Acer TravelMate P) has slowed down a lot. When investigating it, the performance of my CPU is questionable. When I launch internet browsers, the CPU usage spikes. In addition, my task administrator reveals processes I have no idea how they got there. After googling most of them, they are normal processes, it is just they take much RAM and CPU usage. More than one would normally expect. I noticed as well the creation of random folders with the name of '!EndpointProtectionFolderDo NotDiscard' in Files, Images, Videos and Music, when I never installed Sandblast software. The images are like this: I ran several antimalware programs in safe mode, but none of them detected any infection. The usage of memory is really strange and it is making me worried. I hope some of you can help, I would profoundly appreciate. As someone who relies heavily on his PC, 2 weeks without a laptop would be terrible. I remain at your disposal. Best, Vicenç
  13. I have recently been infected with a virus called "Win32\Unwaders.C!ml" and windows defender KEEPS ON REMOVING IT. But it keeps coming back as it sucks at quarantining . But for some reason, but for some reason, malwarebytes isn't detecting this virus. Which is very frustrating as it actually quarantines items completely. I am using the premium trial of malwarebytes
  14. Hi Malwarebytes Team, I need your help to remove Pop-up malware message "You are using outdated version of Chrome...." (Data on internet that is a NetSupport Manager RAT Trojan ?) I tried the following: 1. Malwarebytes 3.6.1.2711 (Updates: Current) 2. Google Help website “Remove unwanted programs (Windows, Mac)” 3. 15. Hey, i would really appreciate some help as i have gotten my laptop infected with virus. The problem startes as i downloaded something from the internet and everything went nuts. From there i started the computer in safe mode and did a scan with malwarebytes. I thought the problem was solved as i found a lot of malware, but when i restarted the computer i still had some problems. These problems being internet explorer always starts by itself showing me some random starter-page, malwarebytes always freezes as i try to open it - task manager says it has status "shut off", and even trying to search for malwarebytes or anything else antivirus related on the internet automaticly freezes the browser (applies to any browser), but only if i search for these things. From here i have tried plenty of virus scans in safe mode, and it always finds something but it never solves any problem. I was hoping for a quick answer as i am out of things to do. I downloaded FRST and did a scan some hours ago, files are attached. Note that i did some virus scans and such in the meanwhile, so if its neccessary that the log files are as recent as possible ill probly do another scan with FRST if you wish so. 19. Got the casper virus among others, can't get rid of it. Tried MWB, SpybotSD, avast!, avira, KaperskyTDSSKiller, CCCleaner...fried a new laptop doing some manual removals, using this old one that is known to be very infected. Lasting past system resets. In registry files, among others. Files the virus(es) hide in contain: _8wekyb3d8bbwe _kzf8qxf38zg5c _htrsf667h5kn2 _31bf3856as364e35 _b03f5f7f11d50a3a _6595b64144ccf1df _b77a5c561934e089 Presuming the next steps will be HijackThis, but I'm not too familiar and would still like to be able to troubleshoot - am wary about playing with Reg files after killing the new laptop [can't factory reset it at this point, need DBAN and Win Install]. Any pointers? Regards, Chris MWBnov3.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt Shortcut.txt
  20. Hey everyone, I've recently been hacked on a video game and I've been trying to figure out how it happened. I didn't think it was a virus because I only use my windows to play that one game and I don't do anything else on it really. It is also scanned regularly by Mcafee internet security. After this hack, I scanned my mac with Malwarebytes 2 spigots came up but after googling I don't think they were able to keylog me and get my passwords but I am not 100% sure what a spigot is. Now my windows lol. Scanned it with Mcafee one virus came up called like a JTI/Suspect! I quarantined and removed it. Scanned it with Malwarebytes and 882 threats detected many were PUPs but a lot were also called Malware. The computer seems to be running a lot faster, but I have three questions. 1. Am I safe now? 2. Is Mcafee really that trash it missed 881 threats? 3. I have also been getting a lot of attempted logins from different countries on my email when I check recent activity. None have been successful. Is that related? Thank you, everyone, and hope you're having a great Thanksgiving!
  21. Hi guys, i was running a FIFA download when a file transfer window popped up followed by numerous incessant SysWow64 command prompts. Scanned with Malwarebytes and Kaspersky, both found nothing. Anything to worried about?
  22. A virus was detected in my computer in windows defender, the support told me to come to this forum for help. I scanned with defender 4 times, the first time it said that it had failed, the second and third time it said it removed it, but on the 4th defender said it had failed again. C:\Recovery\Customizations\usmt.ppkg i scanned with malwarebytes to see if it'd detect anything, and it didnt? And i also scanned with Eset, and it also didnt find anything on my pc. Im not sure of what to do at this point.
  23. Hello, I would like to start off by saying that I kinda think I removed it and cleaned my PC, but here it goes: I torrented an Microsoft Office activation tool, that was zipped. Now I know that most of those are false positive but this one was a beast. I firstly stopped real time protection with Microsoft Defender and Malwarebytes didn't report anything. The activation was successful but when I activated all security measures the PC literally freaked out. It stopped my services with Microsoft Defender but I was able to start a Malwarebytes scan and quarantine it. In what seems like an hour (but it only took no longer then a minute) the virus multiplied itself in 10 new files and was a "simple" trojan/generic malware/trojan password stealer. Now I am a person that hasn't had a proper virus outbreak in like 3 years and this seemed odd. Malwarebytes was able to remove the files and stop the spreading but it started to connect from outside from a page kikidoyoulobme222.ru (don't click or try to search please). I couldn't stop it at first and had about 200 connection inbound in less then an hour. Then it started showing a certain service that wasn't in its proper folder called "msiexec" which was now put into SystemWOW64 folder instead of System32. I did several threat scans but they got deleted somehow and I really don't know if there is a way to recover them. What do I do now? How can I find you those reports and how do I send the FARBAR info?
  24. My cp usage will randomly spike to 15-20 per cent usage while idle, help me please thanks in advance
  25. Hi sorry if this is the wrong spot to post. My question is svchost located in syswow64 a virus. Because everything I'm seeing is telling me it's a virus. Bitdefender and Malwarebytes didn't detect anything. So to be safe I did a factory reset on my hard drive and it is still there. Is this a legitimate file. I have a 64 bit operating system.
