  1. Good day everyone here in this form! Yesterday I've installed the very last (new) version of Malwarebytes. It works fine as usual but neither Firefox nor Thunderbird (current versions each) does since then. Both programs hanging up on start and cannot be closed - even not with the task manager of Windows 10. A restart of the PC is nessessary... I could solve the problem by preventing Malwarebytes to start in the background with Windows 10. Can anyone confirm this and/or maybe have a solution for this problem please? Thanks a lot in advance- kind regards! Bert
  2. My laptop is running Windows 8.1 and I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Home Premium installed. I clicked a Google search result yesterday in Firefox and got this alert: Malicious Website Blocked Domain: www.hitcpm.com IP: 198.134.112.242 Type: Outbound Process: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe I backed out of Google and believed that between the app and NoScript, I wasn't affected by whatever was on the dodgy site. I ran a full scan just to be sure in MWB and nothing showed up, which is what I expected. But when I switched back to Thunderbird,
  3. I updated successfully to the new Malwarebytes consumer 3.2.2.2029 (premium) on M$-Windows XP SP3 32-bit, but Firefox ESR 45.9.0 and Thunderbird 52.3.0 would each fail to start, presenting the window offering to submit a crash report (to Mozilla). Google Chrome 49.0.2623.112 and SAS 9.3 both started and ran fine. I tried turning off Malwarebytes protection features, one-by-one, even turning off protection specifically for Firefox. The only way I could restore functionality for Firefox and Thunderbird was to remove Malwarebytes 3.2.2.2029 and reinstall Malwarebytes 3.1.2.1733 (premium). I
  4. Just within the last 2 days, I have had several clients install MalwareBytes 3.0.6.1469 via after mbam clean or existing upgrade. In three specific cases, the Windows 7 SP1 McAfee Security Suite 15.x from AT&T system immediately became slow and unusable. Another Windows 7 Pro SP1 client running current Thunderbird 45.7.0 lost all email folders and accounts when opened. Yet another client running Norton Business Suite 21.7.0.11 on Windows 8.1 Pro also was unuseable from slowness. Shutting down MalwareBytes 3.0.6.1469 resolved the problem on all systems. In all cases, reverting back to Malwa
  5. Does MBAE Free cover Mozilla Thunderbird emaill application? Since I'm posting, does it cover old versions of IE, like IE 8 and 9? Thanks.
  6. Hello. I have a client that has several emails set up in her Thunderbird email client. The email accounts that were set up to this computer were sending a lot of spam. I cleaned the computer with Malwarebytes and Nod32, the computer seemed clean but when I changed all the passwords and put them in the Thunderbird accounts again, it started to send out a lot of spam again. Any idea how to remove this trojan if Nod32 nor malwarebytes can't find it? Thanks!
  7. Hi, I am new to the forum and hope to ask my question at the right place. Since several days I get MWB warnings that are linked to IP 213.186.33.87 , Thunderbird, and the port 51363. In several posts here and on the web I learned that this IP is administered by OVH, a French provider with tumultous relations with MWB. Before these warnings I did a full scan when I installed MWB and found no threat. What should I do ? What does the warning tell me ? TIA, ftr
