Hate to waste your time on what is probably paranoia, but this icon is appearing in the popup menu on my taskbar, alongside the Malwarebytes, Java and Bluetooth icons as well as other recognizable images. When I mouse over it, it disappears, which is frustrating, so I was wondering if anybody could tell me what this is. Reverse image search has been no help whatsoever.
  2. I also am having this issue with sys tray icon showing updates out of date falsely. Running win 7 sp1 on alianware R4
  3. W7 ultimate SP1. MB v3.0.6 reports on the taskbar notification area that the database is out of date, however when you open MB the dashboard states that "Awesome! You're protected" and shows that updates are current. Restarting the PC clears the taskbar notification notice sometimes, but it soon returns within the hour. I have uninstalled MB completely, ran CCleaner, rebooted, reinstalled MB but the issue continues intermittently.
  4. Hey look at this. The app is I am all fine and secure, but the taskbar icon show a red '!' and this in fact has been going on for at least 2-3 times now.
  5. I accidentally infected my computer last week. I immediately updated Malwarebytes, unplugged my ethernet and completed a scan. Many items were removed as you will see in my initial scan. I restarted my computer and performed the scan again but a pattern appear no matter how many times I restarted my computer. PUP.Optional.Trotux is always found and reappears. My taskbar is largely non-responsive apart from my ability to close and open windows e.g. Windows 10 start button, volume control and the notifications button are all inactive. Hi trying your new Malwarebytes- anti ransomeware Bata 0.9.15.146. on Windows 7 Pro Desktop when the computer starts the program also starts as an open program on the taskbar instead of in the notiiforcation area. as if i had asked it to open after booting, instead of running in background as i thought it would.
