  1. So the real-time Malware protection turned itself off when i started up my computer yesterday and any attempts to turn it back on it just says "starting" then shuts itself back off. I have yet to attempt to reboot or uninstall/reinstall for fear of other R-T protections following suit. Version is 3.1.2 web, exploit, and ransomware protections are still on and working (for the moment), so I don't get what the problem is. I haven't even had this service for 5 days yet (still on trial) and this is rather... concerning, to say in the least attached is a screenshot of it off as well as the time and date, as well as all logs apparently needed(discovered via a previous topic which the real-time web protection was doing the exact same thing) mb-check-results.zip Addition.txt FRST.txt
  2. Using latest version Malwarebytes at 27 March 2017 Real-Time protection module Malware protection does not start. Tried solutions to change settings as shown on forum and rebooting, still just cycles showing 'starting.....' until it doesn't! Other protection modules ok, scans ok. Log files, FRST files and mb-checkResult file attached. Can you please advise? Thank you, David mbae-default.log MBAMSERVICE.LOG FRST.txt Addition.txt MB-CheckResult.txt
  3. As instructed in a support email from Malwarebytes Support, I installed the following: *Malwarebytes version:**Component package version: 1.0.75* It fixed the issue yesterday, but again this morning, the web protection was off and cannot be turned on.
  4. Constantly throughout the day my Real-Time Protection layers will randomly turn off, or at least I get notification they turn off... Why is this happening? Version: Package Version: 1.0.40 Update package version: 1.0.831
  5. Hi! I have been using Malwarebytes Home Premium for quite some time, and OCCASIONALLY, the following would occur. But as of my upgrade to Version, it seems to be happening almost daily. As you will probably be able to discern from the attached FRST.txt and Addition.txt files, I am running an aged copy of Windows XP Professional (32-bit) SP-3 on this partition. I don't know if it matters or not, but I am also running a copy of Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) on a separate partition, in a dual-boot setup on this machine. Licensed copies of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Home (Premium) are installed on both partitions. Anyway, my "symptom" is that, typically upon startup, my Real-Time Protection is turned off. To correct it, I need to: 1) Open the GUI 2) Click the Settings Tab 3) Click the Advanced Settings Tab on the left 4) Disable self-protection mode 5) Click the Detection and Protection Tab on the left 6) Re-enable both Malware Protection and Malicious Website Protection 7) Click the Advanced Settings Tab on the left again 8) Re-enable Self-Protection and Early Start I have run Threat-scans and Hyper-Scans, but nothing turns up. I have also (several times) run the Malwarebytes Chameleon application. Again, nothing is found. FWIW, I used to have Bitdefender installed on both partitions of this machine, but, having issues with the newest upgrade I had purchased, I have uninstalled it from this partition, and now use a free version of AVAST (12.1.2272 (build 12.1.3076.6)). At any rate, I have also run scans using these AV products, and the system always turns up clean. So, I am not really sure I DO have an infection. I am hoping you will be able to help with the issue of the real-time protection becoming disabled, and put my mind at ease. And if we DO find something? I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance, -pvs FRST.txt Addition.txt
  6. Hi I'm new here. I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong place, has been covered, etc (though what works for one may not work for another, so it would be foolish to try a fix given to someone else, even if i could understand it :-)) A couple of days ago I bought MBAM Premium (download) and today I find that the real-time protection isn't enabled. As per the heading, the Fix Now button does nothing. I get (Not Responding), the button fades, returns, no change. £20 isn't a lot of money, but it's still money. How can I fix this? My PC has some kind of DNS-changing trojan (picked up before the download of Premium). Real-time must have been working because the missus said that she kept getting messages saying it had blocked malicious websites. But it's not working now. I have restarted my PC and it's been since this that I've had the error. I will obviously restart again, but just wanted to put this out there. I'll restart and see if it changes anything. Please don't reply until I have done so - I do not want to waste anybody's time. I'll restart and reply to myself. I hope that it's okay to do this. Thanks!

  8. Ok, so I'm running window 7 64-bit and I'm having trouble with malwarebytes, obviously... I have Avast, 1 step down from the "premium" protection they sell, and it operates perfectly, as far as i can tell. For malwarebytes i have the premium version, and when opened, malwarebytes says "Real-time protection: no protection" and when i try to update malwarebytes, i get "unable to access update server". I have attempted to read through the forums to find someone with an issue similar to mine but i did not find anything. In the processes I've googled all active process that were questionable but all checked out to be okay, from what i found. I've also noticed my computer's startup time slow down and the overall running speed has slowed slightly as well. Please help, and if any more information needed i will happily supply what i can. I am majoring in network administration so i do understand computers, to an extent of course. malwarebytes.pdf malwarebytesscan.txt
  9. I am running Malwarebytes Premium The program recently updated, and as far as I know, everything was fine before then. On my new Dashboard, the top three items (License, Database Version, and Scan Progress) are checked, but there is a red X after Real Time Protection - the message to the right says "No protection". When I click on "Fix Now", nothing happens. I have looked over all the settings I can find, and everything looks good. Under "Detection and Protection" everything is checked and enabled. Under Advanced Settings, everything is selected except "Delay protectin for ___ seconds". This is running on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. Any suggestions?
