  1. Hi, My name is Christopher and I am requesting help for a recent problem issue that has happened on my computer. Yesterday night, I ran a scan to clear malware off my computer as it was infested with ads, after the scan it kept popping up Malcious website blocks, which I ignored. Today as I tried to access the internet, I was unable to connect to google due to the error "Unable to connect to Proxy Server". I'm confused because I am able to talk to friends through steam chat (A platform of PC games) but unable to download updates and play online, same goes for Chrome and Internet Explorer. I have tried: Restarting my computer System Restore (Restored to yesterday) Disconnecting to the router/Reconnecting Uninstalling Malware Bytes and current anti-virus Avast! Disabling Firewalls and Avast! Shields and itself Connecting to the Router Through LAN If someone could detect and help me fix this problem, it would mean the world to me
  2. Hi there! I've been desperately trying to solve this problem with various Anti-virus software scans and resetting my browser settings to default, but nothing seems to work: Proxy server keeps ticking itself in the box at LAN settings. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit version. I have used HitManPro3, it detects the Proxy server problem, but doesn't entirely fixes it. I have attached the log. Every time I scan - it appears again even when it showed as repaired. With Malwarebyts Anti-Malware it has detected PUP.Optional. files, but doesn't fix the problem too. Log is attached. SuperAntiSpywareProfessional also didn't help - and doesn't detect the problems. Please help! /Vadim HitmanPro_20140604_1302.log Malwarebyts Scan.txt
  3. I recently went to use the internet using my Google Chrome, and it said it could not access the internet. After attempting to reconnect to the internet, it still had no connection, stating an issue with Proxy Settings (which I do not use normally). I was able to connect using Firefox, so my troubleshooting began. I ran Malwarebytes in Safe Mode, then followed with ComboFix. My proxy issue was resolved temporarily, only to have my desktop icons revert to the previous location after reboot, and upon re-entering the Chrome Settings, the Proxy box was checked again, and under advanced settings it was set to I am running out of options and require some assistance please! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!!!! :-) Sincerely, Apparition
  4. Hi , Recently I tried to connect my PC to internet via data card . Chrome said unable to connect to proxy server , and IE said proxy server isnt responding . While there is no proxy server . I think its a serious issue . Please help I have tried every resort but in vain . I am attaching DDS.txt and attach.txt dds.txt attach.txt hijackthis.log
  5. I got redirected to a suspected dodgey version of a bitcoin site (real site is .com this one identified itself as .cloudnet) Since then (few hours later) no apps would connect to the internet. Chrome would say could not connect to proxy, I don't use a proxy. Tor would connect though but that's because it uses its own proxy, not the system one. USB memory sticks have been acting weird too. I've been getting the 'this USB has a problem click to fix' error and an I/O error due to an invalid system string or application request. The laptop is pretty high spec and used to boot up in a flash and be very responsive. Now for the last day or so it's booting up slower, apps are slower and general response is sluggish. I've ran malware bytes on it in safe mode and nothing has come up. Would should I do next as I can get most of my data off. It's an HP laptop running Windows 8 Standard Edition x64. Cheers
  6. Hello, I have recently posted in the PC help section of the forums regarding my problem with updating malwarebytes, and really any non-microsoft software. Whenever I try to update malwarebytes I get a the PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING(0,0,I/O error) message. I know that this computer used to run a Norton Internet Security program and I have tried to delete this program with no success. I have attatched the requested logs/files. Please let me know if you can be of any assistance. Thank you.
