  5. Hey there, I just ran a Malwarebytes scan to remove malware that i received yesterday night downloading something. i think i have completely removed the malware or whatever it was but now I am having trouble connecting to the internet. I can see that i am connected to my network, but cannot get online. I downloaded and ran Farbar Service Scanner, ran a scan, and got this: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Farbar Service Scanner Version: 27-01-2016 Ran by Edon-PC (administrator) on 31-01-2016 at 17:20:34 Running from "D:\User
  6. I am wondering if it's something to do with the fact that I have the standalone MBAR anti-rootkit app on my machine? I run it manually every so often and it has not detected anything (extra insurance, I suppose) MBAM and my AV all seem to be running and updating fine, and I'm not seeing anything I'd consider anomalous. If I need to remove MBAR, should I consider reinstalling MBAM?
  7. Sometime last week, I made a horrible mistake of downloading something unsafe. Malwarebytes managed to get all of the threats off, but I no longer had internet connection, Like many others who have experienced this problem. I ran adwcleaner, Hitman Pro, and the like. No Advail. Sometime this week, I'll try to show the Logs if I can from the programs. Can someone willing to help assist? Thanks much.

  9. So, when I installed the free version of MBAM for the first time, it took like twenty minutes to do a full scan always, but since some time ago it takes around seventeen minutes or less. I don't know if the time it takes affects anything, but after I reinstalled it (I admit I didn't do a clean installation, I didn't disable the antivirus/firewall and all that) the first scan I did took twenty minutes once again, then the second took around seventeen minutes again and so on. I compared the number of items it scans and it's the same more or less on both times. Does the time it takes matter, or i
  10. I seem to have some sort of adware installed, but I think it is more than that. I Started getting buzzdock ads on google chrome, and if I clicked on something, like a full screen button on youtube perhaps, a new tab would open to an advertisement page and I would be automatically be redirected there. So, I uninstalled chrome, and attempted to reinstall it thinking that it would solve the problem. Upon reinstallation, I got an error message stating that the installation failed. I then tried to uninstall the program "buzzdock" that appeared, and it said it could not install because it "may" have
  11. I left my desktop off for about half a week for travel, normally I would keep it on so that I can let it run and continue folding@home, to contribute to something since my computer is usually always on with a 1-2 hour shut down break weekly. Upon return and start up, Malwarebytes have been popping notification saying database is out of date. So I go ahead and click update multiple times, but to no avail. Always receiving the "No updates available" error. I've attached the necessary diagnostics file. Addition.txt CheckResults.txt FRST.txt
  12. I've already tried to fully unninstall (using the mbam-clean program) and the problem still occurs. I provided a screenshot of what Malwarebytes looks like when it starts this infinite scan. It's been scanning for 16 minutes, and started the heuristics scan at around the 7 minute mark. Sorry for my English, which may be poor in some parts
  13. Hi, everybody. I'm writing this thread because I've tried almost every solution to fix malwarebytes installation. I've tried the uninstallation, reboot and still get the error ''malwarebytes external exception e06d7363''. I don't know what to do. Also, my Windows Defender doesn't let me open it although I have its directory folder. This month, I've been having some pop ups of ''Zuonami3'' saying it has stopped working every time I log to my computer. It's obviously a malware. I need to install Malwarebytes in order to kill that malware. Please, I need help. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premi

  16. HI, first up - I'm new here, so hello everybody. I've been using Malwarebytes for years and it's always been a helpful program for me to have. So it's unfortunate that my very first post here is about a problem with the software. But I've looked all over, and despite finding that other people have had the same/similar issues as me, I'm not seeing a solution that works. Simply put, I downloaded the latest version of Malwarebytes recently, only to discover that now, whenever I attempt to scan it, it stops responding and crashes before it even gets past the "Scanning for updates" section. At
  17. I bought a lifetime MBAM premium key from amazon.com, and I've used it to activate the copy of MBAM I have installed on my pc. After having the software work for quite a while, I came to see I'd lost my .txt file including the key. I didn't think much of it at the time as MBAM was working just fine, but recently it's stopped launching, but I don't want to uninstall it as I'm afraid it will de-activate my copy of the product and I will be unable to re-activate it as I can't recover the keys. (I've been using MBAM after the update where the keys were encrypted, so I'm not able to just recover
  18. During my last 2 scans Malwarebytes got stuck for hours on on one file (in this case C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Windows\img0.jpg). Can anybody tell me why it got stuck on this specifc file? It looks innocent.

  20. Hello, mind me right now as I am somewhat frustrated. I have spent all day so far trying to get this to work. At first I wanted to run a clean uninstall of MBAM so I could fix the first two problems (the not updating and no real time protection) but when I went to find my key and ID in windows registry, it didnt no show up in the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432 Node address. I have been with Malwarebytes for awhile now, I think since 2009. The email I used it for is pretty old and I can't remember and was used back when I had Vista. Right now I currently use windows 8. To sum up
