Encountered when running Ace stream engine for Windows. You don't have to do anything special to reproduce after installing. You don't need to play any channel so you don't need any channel link. You may be prompted from your firewall as Acestream wants to open port 6878 for streaming and 8621 for broadcasting. Also you don't have to allow it either. http://www.acestream.org/ Issue should start manifesting after you close and reopen web browsers and/or CLI tools which use network connections. Fast startup / hibernation has no impact on this issue. Disabling web protection helps but only if you do it before issue happens. If Acestream is set to run on start up not even a clean install of Malwarebytes will help you. mbst-grab-results.zip
When I am downloading a torrent, I use Bittorrent, but within the last year the program always froze and required to be forced closed and restarted. Then, it would happen again and again. I looked up the issue and I was hardly alone. I don't know if the issue was ever resolved by anyone, but ever since I purchased your pro version the issue is gone. I constantly get a pop-up window in the right corner letting me know that malware is blocking bittorrent from accessing blah blah blah....you know the drill. So, thanks for that alone. I rarely purchase a pro version of anything, but this is worth every penny for the bittorrent issue by itself. So you know, you guys may have solved a long existing issue with Bittorrent.
I was running Utorrent last night and MB blocked over 12 dns address's. I did a whois of those addresses and only 1 was known for many different acts. The rest (on google) were identical basically. All they had were some unknowns where others are full disclosure. I accidently didn't save the address's, but it seems will keep growing. But I'm sure if I start the torrent client again Malwarebytes will be catching them within minutes. Here's the problem. 1 site was a known true perpetrator of exploits and other things, most of the others just didn't disclose as much self information as the others, or because of the similarities were running through proxy servers. No browsers were running (as a process either). This blockage of many only happens when running a torrent client such as Utorrent. Anything bad that I ever picked up and had to purge was picked up via browser or of my own carelessness. Because of the 1 truly known block I really don't want to turn off malicious website blocking... Why is this? Can these sites access a pc through a torrent client?
