  1. I have a premium subscription; everything has been working fine for many months. Today MB started blocking MS Word because of a payload exploit. Word opens, and then is immediately closed by MB, even before I open a file. So, it's an application thing, it seems, not a file issue. MB pointed to a file Roaming/Grammarly/Updates/GrammarlyAddInSetup6.7.139.exe. This is the normal location for Grammary updates, it seems. There were files in there going back a year with different version numbers. (Could be old exploits too, I suppose; but I doubt it.) I am running the latest version of Grammarly, of course. I checked the Word file I was trying to load with VirusTotal - clean. I did a full scan of my system - clean. I checked the Roaming/Updates/etc folder for the file reported by MB - the 6.7.139.exe file does not exist. I deleted the whole Grammarly/Updates/* folder just to be sure, in case the file was hidden (although I have hidden files showing). The problem still remains - when I boot Word, it is immediately closed by MB, even before I open any specific Word file. I have attached a screenshot of the error. I'm not sure what to do next; working in MS Word is my daily business, so my business is down, and I am blocked. Help! Thank you
  2. Malware displays the following message: Exploit automatically blocked. Application Behavior Protection Exploit payload process blocked. What's the problem, and how can it be fixed?
  3. I just updated to Windows version 1703 all was working fine with office 365 with Malewarebytes prior to the update now Malwarebytes blocks the opening of WINWORD.exe to create a document or the opening of any document saved to open with it. This is the word processor for MS OFFICE 365. After playing around a bit I could right click WINWORD.exe icon enter properties and click run as administrator. Obviously, a step I'd prefer not to have to take every time I want to create or open a document and doesn’t work to open .docx files or other file types set to open with WINWORD.exe I should add I opened windows settings and checked for updates other office programs are not affected such as, Outlook, one note publisher and excel which seems to open and work normally. Spoiler below contains Malwarebytes log file from two events when trying to open word documents. Norton version Blocked FRST.exe and quarantined the app Filename: frst64.exe The log txt as follows: However I was able to take it out of quarantine, not thrilled about it, risk level duly noted and run the app to provide results here. Your help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated Addition.txt FRST.txt logs.7z mb-check-results.zip
  4. Hi, Running the latest version of Malwarebytes on Windows 10 fresh install. Have serious problems with Office 365, I can't even login with a browser to 365. I removed Malwarebytes and was able to login and install my Office apps. I got no warning or notifications to explain why this happens but it is somewhat frustrating. Is there someone who know how to workaround or fix this.
  5. Yesterday I started getting blocked when clicking on hyperlinks in Outlook. It happens on various emails. I get messages from Washington Post, Comixology, Nextdoor, etc. I tried putting Outlook.exe in the exclusion field but that didn't do any good. Kind of glad that didn't work. Don't want to know that I have to exclude the program I use the most. I've attached an example of the pop-up. Because it mentions "Website blocked", I cut and pasted the URL. That did no good either. That wasn't surprising.
  6. For no reason whatsoever, Malwarebytes 3.1 suddenly started blocking "outlook.office365.com" and forced me to add an "exclusion" for it. As far as I can tell, there is no good reason for Malwarebytes to indicate that the Microsoft Office 365 website is a bad destination. What gives?
  7. Since upgrading Malwarebytes Pro from v2.2.1.1043 to v3 I have experienced problems with Office 365 being very slow to start and frequently freezing. I have set up Exclusions in Malwarebytes and whilst Office 365 opens more quickly now it is still very slow compared to what it was lke under v2.2.1043. As a test I have shut down Malwarebytes Pro v3 and that eliminates the problem. I have timed how long it takes to open Excel with and without Malware bytes and here are the results: - Without Malwarebytes: 1.5 seconds With Malwarebytes: 12.7 seconds Presently I cannot work efficiently with Malwarebytes Pro V3.0.6 so I have uninstalled it until you find a resolution to this issue.
  8. I am running Office 2013 and Malwarebytes Pro seems to be blocking the connection to outlook.office365.com - It will work fine for a few hours and I will receive a "can't connect to Microsoft Exchange" error message. I have been systematically narrowing down what is the cause and ended up if I turn off the Malicious Website Protection, I immediately connect back to Microsoft Exchange.....until I turn MWP back on. I have tried to add https://outlook.office365.com to the "Web Exceptions" section of Malwarebytes Pro, but that does not solve my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Attempting to update Office 365 from 16.7070 to 16.7167. MBARW detected OfficeClickToRun.exe as Ransomware, but when I clicked Quarantine, it didn't show up in Quarantine. I had to reboot and disable MBARW in order to install the update.
  10. I am perplexed on how to do an attachment from my computer using Office 365 in a browser from my home computer. I am logged into my business account via the browser when at home and the default attachment options show my business OneDrive directory. I had a screen shot of something I wanted to share, so I hit My Computer to select it and MBAE shutdown IE and I got the error message in the attached Jpeg. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a way to stop it from happening? I have a workaround, but the problem is I don't remember it the first time I get shut down and I have lost some of my email text as it happened before auto-save was done. It's just annoying as IE has to be restarted and I have to login again, pull up the Draft and try to recompose what was lost and then do a drag and drop into the email...which seems to take a few attempts before it sticks. I would rather report this as a bug, which I believe it to be, or change a setting if the bug has been figured out. Thanks!
  11. Twice now the MAR detects and deletes Office 365 installs and updates.
  12. Every 24 to 48 hours I will not be able to connect to the Exchange Server hosted by Microsoft Office 365. Within seconds of exiting Malwarebytes it connects. Everything else I have tried it stays disconnected such as restarting Outlook, restarting my computer, etc. Once connected I can restart Malwarebytes and it will work again for 24 to 48 hours. When I lose my connection I can connect fine through everything else such as my phone, tablet, and web connect on the same PC. So I am very confident it is Malwarebytes causing the issue, as it always connects again the second I exit Malwarebytes. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop blocking Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange Server?
