  1. Hi! I made a scan with the latest version of Adwcleaner 7.1.0 and i dont know if the result are false positives it's: PUP.Optional.InfoG HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Classes\INETCTLS.INET PUP.Optional.InfoG HKLM\Software\Classes\INETCTLS.INET What you think? The only thing i found about INETCTLS.INET is 1: Microsoft Internet Transfer Control 2: an object (InetCtls.Inet) that permits to get a page from another site
  2. I’ve had this problem for a while and nothing is helping! I go on my task manager and see 2 types of apps running in the background. Both called vmxclient. It won’t go to process if clicked and it won’t kill process....nothing. I notice that sometimes it appears and disappears from the apps tab. When it appears I hear my desktop fan going off the roof! When it’s gone it’s very silent. I also notice in my process tab a IGFXMTC.exe and a dwioaem.exe (4 processes). Nothing happens when I click on them. They just appear and disappear on their own. Please help!!!
  3. So I got two free keys given to me from Marcin Kleczynski of Malwarebytes over on Reddit. Because I got given a key I didnt have to sign up for an account. I reformatted my PC which I activated MBAM 3 Pro on with the key and forgot to deactivate it first now I cant use that key on my new installed windows 10. The normal process would be to sign into your account and deactivate the license from the list of your devices but because I got given the key and therefore donot have an acount how can I deactivate my license so I can use it on my new OS?
  4. I can't install malwarebytes from the official site. runtime error at 360:120. Could not call proc. Please help, and thank you.
  5. I just downloaded and ran the new version of AdwCleaner. The program deleted Ask and also shows: Delete Tracing Keys and Reset Winsock. The new version is much different. Could anyone help me understand how to use it correctly?
  6. I recently updated Malwarebytes, not sure what the previous version was, I'm pretty sure it was 3 something. When I finished installing it, I clicked the shortcut and nothing happened. mbam.exe is running in my processes, as is the mbamservice.exe or whatever. But I click it and the hard drive light hardly even comes on, it doesn't try much at all. I tried the MB removal tool, then reinstalled. It seems to get hung up on the last of the installation process, the bar is full and the installer just freezes. I have to end the process. I don't recall if that happened when I first updated, I believe it did. I made sure my AV was off, tried multiple times, and it still freezes and still doesn't open. I've attached the logs, I currently have MB installed. Running Windows XP. I have Avast, Super Anti Spyware and Malwarebytes. Any other AV programs on the logs is partially un/installed and I got no clue how to get rid of them, I'll work on that later. mb-check-results.zip

  8. Hello, I'm on Windows 10 with Norton Security Suite and MalwareBytes 3.3.1. Windows Task Manager shows MalwareBytes consuming anywhere fromb-check-results.zipm 16 to 25% of the CPU. It has been doing this for hours. I attached the results from MbCheck which was run a few hours ago. Can you help?

  11. I have Amazon's Appstore and Malwarebytes on both my phone (LG G5) and Tablet (Nvidia Shield K1). Both are running Android 7.0. Only difference is on my phone's Amazon Appstore was installed from Google Play Store and on my tablet I installed the APK from Amazon's website (https://www.amazon.com/gp/mas/get/android/ref=get_appstore?ie=UTF8&appName=appstore&ref_=mas_sms_dl) ^Exact URL used Any scan results do not indicate anything on either device, however after turning my tablet's screen off for several minutes and turning it back on I keep getting ransomware notifications from Malwarebytes about the Amazon Appstore (I'm assuming because it is not from the play store and has control over the apps installed from it in some fashion) Wouldn't be too big of a problem if Malwarebytes didn't add an HTML file to my tablet's home screen every time. I'd would uninstall Amazon Appstore from my tablet but, being my gaming tablet and running games smoother than my phone, I really don't want to (nice to have access to apps I bought from Amazon on my tablet too. And some of the free apps are not available in the Play Store for my tablet, but are on Appstore and install/run fine on my tablet for example) Anyway to get Malwarebytes Mobile to ignore Appstore when installed from Amazon's site or can someone from Support look into it and fix it in a future database update?
  12. Please send me an Malwarebytes invitation code
  13. I've been getting reports that Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium (the paid version) has been causing Outlook 2016 Home & Business (not Office 365) to open so slowly as to not be usable and sometimes to quit functioning altogether, after which it wants to be opened in "Safe Mode". It also seems to be "screening" the POP3 emails so that they take forever to download. So far 4 of my clients (all who are running Office 2016 H&B on Windows 10 Professional 32-bit and 64-bit version 1709 Fall Creator's Update) and now I'm starting to see the same problem personally. MB 3.0 seems to be the common denominator here so I'm wondering if anybody has experienced anything similar lately? This all happened in about the last week or so. Thanks in advance...
  14. For the life of me I cant get malware bytes to work. I have tried several options to get it working and using other programs to scan and everything. I even used the MB check program and none of the options worked. they would fail after creating these huge folders.I was also unable to get inherit to run as well if that provides any useful into. I am attaching logs I got from OTL and FRST and if any others are needed please let me know. FRST.txt OTL.Txt Addition.txt Extras.Txt mb-check-results.txt
  15. Where are the logs for MBAM for Mac stored? (the file path/directly location)
  16. My free trial for Malwarebytes for Mac expired yesterday and i was wondering if the updates are still automatic even though Malwarebytes reverted o the free version. I checked the setting for Malwarebytes for Mac and found out that the "Automatically Check for Updates" option is still selected and i can change the timeframe for how long updates should be frequent. On the other hand, viewing the protection options between Malwarebytes Premium and Malwarebytes Free for mac shows that auto-updates is only a premium option. Am i still able to have auto-updates with the free version of Malwarebytes for Mac, or will this later be turned off automatically since it's only been 24 hours since ive run out of premium?
  17. Hi We would like to install Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Business onto a system and then sysprep that system to capture an image. With other products we have to use a clean tool to remove the identifiers from the system prior to syspreping the system and capturing the image, since its information is in the registry. We would like to deploy the image to lots of computers and don't want to have duplicate ids listed in the registry. What do we use in order to clean Malwarebytes identifiers from the master image? Is there any cleanup that needs to be done before sysprep for the system? Thanks
  18. Enabling the Malwarebytes Safe Browsing Scanner (Setting>General>Accessibility) will prevent Mini View (Settings>Display>More) from working entirely on my LG G6 (LG-H872). I would like to have this extra layer of security running, but Mini View is a MUST for me and my tiny hands. I have heard that people are having similar issues on the LG V20. Any fix available or in the works? Thank You, Joshua Logsdon

  20. Hey there everybody. I apologize if this has already been answered, but I wanted to get your advice on something as I have more than one question. My computer has been popping up with the black screen displaying "taskeng.exe" very quickly, and then it goes away. It usually only does this a bit after starting up and sometimes after opening Chrome. I looked this up and some people say it's fine, others say it could be a sign of a virus/spyware. I did open up task scheduler, go to the task scheduler library, and disabled a task called "User_Feed_Synchronization" after being advised to do so on a Microsoft forum regarding taskeng.exe issues. But apparently that didn't help, because I saw it again? Today I ran a scan with Malwarebytes and 6 threats were detected. I quarantined them, but have not deleted them yet. Should I? Do you think that would help my taskeng.exe problem? Problem is, after I did this scan, the taskeng.exe popup still came after the scan's restart. I will post my results here. Do you think the taskeng.exe is a virus, or don't worry about it? To anyone who replies, thank you so much!!! -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Custom Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 227556 Threats Detected: 6 Threats Quarantined: 6 Time Elapsed: 12 hr, 5 min, 0 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 3 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2FA28606-DE77-4029-AF96-B231E3B8F827}, Quarantined, [478], [341071],1.0.4030 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2FA28606-DE77-4029-AF96-B231E3B8F827}, Quarantined, [478], [341071],1.0.4030 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKU\S-1-5-21-470504079-2056641531-4023931026-1000\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2fa28606-de77-4029-af96-b231e3b8f827}, Quarantined, [478], [341071],1.0.4030 Registry Value: 3 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKU\S-1-5-21-470504079-2056641531-4023931026-1000\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2fa28606-de77-4029-af96-b231e3b8f827}|URL, Quarantined, [478], [341071],1.0.4030 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2fa28606-de77-4029-af96-b231e3b8f827}|URL, Quarantined, [478], [341070],1.0.4030 PUP.Optional.ASK, HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER\SEARCHSCOPES\{2fa28606-de77-4029-af96-b231e3b8f827}|URL, Quarantined, [478], [341070],1.0.4030 Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 0 (No malicious items detected) File: 0 (No malicious items detected) Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected)
  21. So I've been using my Dell Microsoft Windows 7 Professional for around 4 years, recently when I logged into my laptop, the screen froze after 2 minutes. I can still move the cursor but can not do anything else, after some research I found out I might've gotten a Adware. I also read that most Anti-Virus won't remove AdWare. I would just like to get some help in removing this Adware, currently running scan and have gotten 4 Adware threats. I also ran DDS, after seeing the result of "Installed Programs", I found out that some programs mentioned in the .txt file were not in the control panel for me to delete it, I would need more help, please reply to me ASAP.
  22. I also purchased Malwarebytes today. I am unable to open Malwarebytes. I attempted to use Chameleon and that was unsuccessful. I attempted to locate the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool based off what I read in another forum and my web page closed every time I searched for it. Should I also download the "clean tool" you have listed above? I have windows 7 and 32-bit
  23. I downloaded malwarebytes officially, from malwarebytes.com, and i have been troubled by the notification that i should restart my PC in order to get the malwarebytes installed, i have done this several times, but i ended up in an infinite loop, and it is not installed yet. I am in windows 10, 64-bit, x86
  24. Hi, I'm having the same issue as the user on this thread: I've tried rkill, hitmanpro, adwcleaner, etc. The only program that sees it is malwarebytes, but after I quarantine and remove, it pops up again just as described in this post. I already downloaded the Farbar recovery scan tool. Thanks for your help, Eric
