  1. Hi, So Malwarebytes won't open. I'm worried that it got corrupted or something. I tried reinstalling, it just stopped midway so I had to force close. So then I installed the Malwarebytes Support Tool, and I did a LOG check. I hope there aren't any problems. I just want to open Malwarebytes to see if my computer is fine. I'm scared. mbst-grab-results.zip
  2. a software called a check disk gui is being blocked already by Malwarebytes Browser Guard version2.2.4 . the software last update is on 2014 so it possible to be a false positive .
  3. Hello. I fell for something today and got a bit screwed, I've had my PC crash twice and I'm a bit worried because Malwarebytes hasn't found anything and something else fishy is up. When the first crash occurred there was like this womans photo plastered on the "crashed" screen, never seen that photo in my life lmao. If you look at my screenshot, when I open the program, it shows that everything is enabled but my taskbar shows the ! sign and shows that protection is not enabled - very odd. First time this has happened too. I uhh.. uninstalled the frowned upon executables. Any help would be nice, thank you for your time. scan.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt

  5. Some weeks ago I realizad my Malwarebytes date is wrong. On "next scan" it says 01/01/21 and last scan says it was on 31/12/20. In the little icon at the top of the Mac screen says that scans are being done daily but when I check reports I can see that suddenly scheduled scans are not being performed. I deleted the app and downloade it again and I think it's working fine now but I still would like to know why this happened, I am a bit worried. Thanks
  6. These popups can be extremely annoying and I don't know how to get rid of them. They popup at random and I would like to turn them off. (If it helps, I have already stopped my trial malwarebytes through account settings) Any help would be appreciated!
  7. installed version of the Malwarebytes Browser Guard is 2.2.2 and it sometime MB keeps blocking their ZIP files and as of sudden MB somehow has unlocking the blocks from their ZIP files and it now MB has to their EXE files to be blocked . I do not understand why MB is does blocking and unblocking "switch" their software by itself
  8. This pops up everytime I open a new window in Chrome. I have run the Malwarebytes ADW cleaner it seems like it doesn't solve the problem

  10. I'm running Windows 7 Professional. The only thing I have used for security for years is Malwarebytes and Avast and I have never had any problems. This morning Windows alerted me to download system updates. Among them was Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. I did not download as I am not familiar with this and hesitate to add anything unknown when I have been doing so well avoiding problems. Should I let the system install this? beeboots

  14. All: I have been asked by a member of the DisplayLink support team, a tech solutions provider for (among things) USB-dock based graphics display, hot desking and other peripheral support, to share information with Malwarebytes, its users and, specifically, the Malwarebytes support team, regarding issues/conflicts that I experienced between the latest Malwarebytes for Windows software and the latest DisplayLink for Windows drivers and software; as well as to share the solution/steps that I came up with and discovered to solve my issue. I note that I am currently (i) a Malwarebytes premium subscriber (running Malwarebytes for Windows 4.0.4.49), and (ii) a DisplayLink software user (specifically, "DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Windows 9.3 M0 drivers") with a USB 3.0 "Plugable UD-3900 Dual Display Universal Docking Station". The specific request from DisplayLink appears in its forums (in a response to my own "How To"-type posting) here (and/or at the top of page 2): https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64896&goto=newpost; and, as evidenced by the posting itself, a member of DisplayLink's tech support team (named Alban) would like to work together with Malwarebytes' team on fixing the below-described issue. The material substance of both my issue and the posting that I left in the DisplayLink forums is cut and paste hereinbelow (here’s the original link, with my post at the bottom of “page 1”: https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64896) ADDITION TO THE ABOVE: (18) Reinstall Malwarebytes. As an added measure, and whether or not this is superfluous or necessary is totally up to you: leave the "enable self-protection module early start" option (in advanced security settings) unchecked, as enabling this setting specifically "...changes the order of services and drivers associated with your computer's startup" (see the MB for Windows User Guide here: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-3564), and you want (or, at least I want) the DisplayLink "dlcdcncm" ethernet adapter driver for the USB dock loaded early on in the PC's startup process so that the internet (using ethernet, not WiFi) works right away at the Windows login screen (and during your boot process).
  15. Good day everyone here in this form! Yesterday I've installed the very last (new) version of Malwarebytes. It works fine as usual but neither Firefox nor Thunderbird (current versions each) does since then. Both programs hanging up on start and cannot be closed - even not with the task manager of Windows 10. A restart of the PC is nessessary... I could solve the problem by preventing Malwarebytes to start in the background with Windows 10. Can anyone confirm this and/or maybe have a solution for this problem please? Thanks a lot in advance- kind regards! Bert
  16. Short and precise: Reply if you want to have a Linux version of Malwarebytes. No double posts. please. Everyone only one post maximum. Post post is mine. I want one. Take my $$$. Thank you.
  17. Updated to 4.0.4. this morning and Outlook 2010 immediately became slow at downloading and sending emails. Images in emails are especially slow to download in the reading pane. Sending basic text test email take over 30 seconds to send whereas before I estimate it took 1-2 seconds, basically instantaneous. This is a backward step in productivity. Is there good reason for me to put up with this? Or can it be fixed?
  18. Please give us a dark theme in Windows. Mac has it why can't we have it. It doesn't make sense. When i launch Malwarebytes (4.0.4) it is really really bright and hurts my eyes. Please allow us to switch to dark mode (and please not for premium only). DARK THEME FOR MAC Example. Thanks.
  19. just downloaded this new version of malwarebytes for home use on windows on a HP laptop with windows 10 - on the new malwarebytes for windows the words are blocked out (see picture)
  20. Is there a way to download a Malwarebytes offline installer or a standalone installer as I have a PC which do not have a internet connection? If yes, could you please provide me a method or the link to download the file? Thank you!
  21. Brief description of the issue. a short description of the old bug problem that is still existing in Malwarebytes version 2 and 3 and even the newest currently released of the version 4 . so Malwarebytes is to performed a scheduled scans with rootkit scan option is toggled on by the user but however when an auto scan is launched by Malwarebytes itself , sometime it won’t scan for Rootkit even though this option is been already turned on and nor the "scanning for rootkit" text in the scan page will not even be displayed though . Any screenshot(s) of error messages or other incorrect behavior (not required; include if available). there is no any screenshot but an video available for this old bug thing . so yes I think its incorrect behavior here . If the system crashed, please include the BSOD error message (we will reach out to you for a full memory dump). no any app crash at this moment . and there is no Dumps crash folder either Details on how you encountered the bug and any steps that can be taken to reproduce it. just let the Malwarebytes to do its scheduling scanning and sometime you’ll able to to get the issue described above and thus in order to able to reproduce it as well . also aside note : this is also occurred with the manual scans sometime Do you get the same result more than once if you follow the same steps? Y/N yes . as I mention above I do get the almost the same results with all version of Malwarebytes which are (version 2 and 3 and 4) - and I also I have an old video for the same issue for version 2 of the Malwarebytes but not sure If I have an video for the version 3 or not so I will double-check on there Untitled 2019-11-14 02-36-27.wmv
  22. description of the problem : Malwarebytes Browser Guard is caused of big files download interrupted in the Firefox web-browser version 70.0.1 just want to grab the newer updated version of ISO file for windows 10 by head over on Microsoft website , I click on the link to download the ISO file named (Win10_1903_V2_English_x64) but the downloads keeps falling for 3 times as of now . so the first thing I had to do is to disable Malwarebytes add-on as a test and hey the download now is back to normal and it continue now to downloading when I click on retry button .... the ISO file of Win10_1903_V2_English_x64 is about 5GB <
  23. Hey there, I've been trying to get an answer on this from customer support but I haven't been able to get through to them, so I figured I post it here. I've had a malwarebytes license for nearly two years for 1 device, and I've recently gotten a laptop and wanted to install on the laptop as well but I cannot seem to find how to add more devices to my license. I know on sale, you can choose more than one device, but what about after sale? The only thing I can see is buying a whole new license on a different account, which makes no sense since it's considerably more expensive that way. Am I just blind? Is there a way to add more devices to my current license?
  24. trying to update the Malwarebytes from version 4.0.3 beta to the MB version 4.0.4 final release by hovering in the setting page > General > Application updates > and clicking on "check for updates" button and it found an update but I’m not sure whether was is an database update or an competent update , however I do not get that upgrade to the 4.0.4 final release so I’m still with 4.0.3 beta and as of sudden the GUI been upgraded to another changes which is without the robot in the GUI but the version number has not been changed even though I had to click on check for updates button ? what is going with the Malwarebytes updater thing ?
  25. starting from this day , my Firefox web browser won’t lunch even though I had to double-clicking on the Firefox icon so many time to have the web browser to be opened . right click on the taskbar to open the task manager and I’ve seen the Firefox processes are running and Firefox still not opened but however I figure out that the Malwarebytes’s Exploit protection is behind this problem as well and in meantime I can tell that this issue is first time happened to me when the Exploit protection module is getting in the way for now . I had to click on Malwarebytes icon in the tray app/startup area to uncheck-marked off the Exploit protection in order to have Firefox opened right away after do so!
