  2. My laptop has been infected by a malware which keeps disconnecting my internet connection and sometimes the wifi status LED of the laptop would go off and come back after sometime. I checked the taskbar and few processes appear suspicious with no description. I tried to create dump file of the suspicious processes but access is denied. A scan with malwarebytes could not detect anything. Please advice how to remove the virus. Thank you.
  3. https://i.imgur.com/vmgKFmh.png I recently downloaded a few files, and I think my computer probably got infected because of those files as they weren't particularly from a source that I would trust. I did remove the files shown in the screenshot but I'm still paranoid concerning the data and security of my computer.
  4. Every few minutes the malware I'm infected with tries to open websites like pool.minexmr.com This leads MWB "real-time protection" to report it has blocked the website, but it does not quarantine the malware itself, which is not detected when it does a threat scan. The signs and effects of the malware are as reported in previous posts in this forum - see InstallShield Virus keeps on coming back By MatthewCostanilla, January 6 2019; and Infected by a very smart malware By xRaydenx, December 26, 2018 An executable file creates a process visible in Task Manager: File = c:\Windows\SysWOW64\InstallShield\setup.exe Process = "32-bit Setup Launcher" Highly disturbing consequences, including: Running mb3 and doing a scan right after bootup works, but finds nothing. If mb3 is run again it freezes up and cannot be killed by Task Mgr. The Support Tool freezes if run. Browsers freeze when attempting to run malware-related searches or to open malware-related websites My Windows and Office365 both lost their activation (others haven't reported this) Things I have tried: Following the first steps advised in the most recent of the posts mentioned earlier, I attempted to run mb3 in Safe Mode with Networking. It opened but with all layers disabled. When I tried to repair it with the Support Tool, the tool froze but it turned out that mb3 itself was completely removed. I am attaching the logs gathered by the Support Tool; details of the non-results of the last scan done in Normal Mode after bootup; and an example of the websites that mb3 blocks in real time. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated! Threat Scan.txt Websites Blocked.txt mbst-grab-results.zip
  5. A couple days ago, Avast loaded onto my computer while I was downloading an update for CCleaner. I went to Avast support for help in removing it, as it would not allow me to do it (said I didn't have authorization). At this time, apparently a file called AvLaunch.exe also loaded. It is still there, and it is messing with my computer performance, bigtime. It's killing my battery, starting programs (like Edge) which I have repeatedly turned off, won't let me chat or communicate directly with Malwarebytes, slow load times, etc. I need help. This is further complicated by the fact that I'm currently in Central America where I can't make or receive calls - so I am depending on this forum! I can't use my phone, and I can't use MWB page to email or chat with them. Please help!
  6. Hi Malwarebytes, I've infected from KMSPico Installation. Very sure of infected signs. (Unfortunately, just after a day, noticed about Malwares and Virus.) So, I've clean restored window. And the window was activated by digital signature activation from my cooperation. But, After check by FRST, I'm still suspecting some are still infected. Please check about my attached FRST log. Since, I've no idea, what kind of virus still infecting my system files. Please kindly help me? Any kinds of support are much appreciate. FRST.txt

  8. Hello, last week I have found 3 different processes bumping my CPU up to 100%. All of them were located in the temp folder but were named lsass.exe svchost.exe and nv… .exe. I figured they were not windows processes because they weren't located in the system32 folder and were run alongside the real processes. I have managed to eliminate them through Malwarebytes but I noticed my computer was still acting weird by asking for my onedrive and outlook password all the time. I was also unable to reactivate windows defender (even before I installed Malwarebytes), I kept getting a message that this is controlled by my IT administrator which doesnt make sense because Its a personal laptop. Also today my Facebook account got hacked and deleted so it raised my suspicion that there are definetly some left overs. If you could please provide assistance I would be forever grateful, just want my laptop back. Thank you!
  9. I was subscribed to Malwarebytes for 1 month, my smartphone was hit by a malware called Adware.cootek (Touchpal 2015) and PUP. riskware.autoins.VIVO (vivo browser) and I can't delete this Malware, both malware get access to all my Smartphones, please !!!

  11. Hello! I'm having an issue with a malware that apparently is hiding in my system32. I'm not really good with this kind of thing, so i decided to ask for help here. This is my problem: So i woke up this morning, turned on my PC and the first thing i did was open Steam and try to play a game i installed last week.(Note:The game worked perfectly fine yesterday.) And the thing is:This game uses Battleye Anti-Cheat,and i can't open the game without it, so when battleye was starting, it did'nt want to open my game due to a problem with blocked files,(All of them from system32) so i searched the internet for a fix, and found out that this problem happens because i have a malware in my computer, so i installed MalwareBytes and tried to clean it up. But even after i did, My game still would'nt work and show the same problem, Because of that, i came to the conclusion that the malware affecting my computer was actually hidden in system32 because the blocked files that battleye could'nt load were all from Sys32. Notes:I have installed some stuff i did'nt completely trust recently, and i can talk about them if needed. Other than my game not working, my computer is still functional, and runs smoothly. The image below shows the issue on the game, the problems on the print are some of the files that got blocked(i'm not sure but i have an impression they're increasing over time, but i'm not really sure).

  14. Hello, I built a new pc a month ago and it's been doing great until a few days ago that I noticed my cpu at 50% plus when idle/browsing with no heavy programs running. Everytime I run the task manager or similar programs I downloaded online, the CPU usage will always go down to around 1-5%. I ran a total scan using avast and I dont see any malicious file. I can't see what process/program is the culprit because everytime I check it on the task manager, the usage will suddenly drop and I can no longer see which one is using all the cpu. I've seen similar posts online and here, and tried to resolve it but I dont see any suspicious file and I really don't know which process is the malware. My Setup is: i7 8700k Processor, GTX 1060 6gb, 8GB Ram, Windows 10. I hope you can help me find some solution or better yet pinpoint the cause. Forgive my english. Thanks a lot=)
  15. The website in question is currently being reported of having malware. We checked and after a thorough security scan for all vulnerabilities, there are none found. We have taken upon ourselves just in case to add additional security to the website/blog to ensure nothing malicious will happen. http://cedutica.com/ https://www.virustotal.com/#/url/ebda765d36ed486af4aef0a4606f19c3b27ac6bbff132288fe0c63d7bcf881d2/detection Please can someone from support add this to a global white list. Thank you
  16. Potential game launcher malware, I would like to see if they are a false positive or not. Here's the log, as well as a sample of the files in question. As a sidenote, these files are indeed "cracked" game files, and I do not get the same result with the originals. Note that also, only some of the varied language .exe files were detected as potential malware at first, and on a second scan I believe it determined another file to be potential malware, too. I would mainly like to know, if possible, if the files are indeed malware, or if they are only being detected as such due to the "cracked" nature of the files. Thank you for reading. 17. Hello, I recently downloaded an application from an unreliable source and now I have some kind of malware/adware application on my PC. Filename: 37m7u9aww51.exe [Displays as "promptbooks (32 bit) in Task Manager] File location: C:\ProgramData\Task Protect 2.3\37m7u9aww51.exe Keeps re-opening and duplicating itself secretly, and tries to redirect me to sites such as shoptowin.ru, popandshop.ru etc. Hyper scan with Malwarebytes didn't resolve the issue, neither did a custom scan on the directory shown above. It has also been added to the startup list, but I've disabled it. File location from startup tab in Task Manager: File location from the background tasks in Task Manager:

  19. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop. It recently started behaving strangely by attempting to delete every file I click on. The "Are you sure you want to move this file to Recycle Bin" pop up appears. When I attempt to close it,multiple pop ups appear with each attempt to close. It's to such an extent that you can't do anything practical on the machine for about 10 minutes as you try to close literally hundreds of Recycle Bin pop dialog boxes. Any help with this is greatly appreciated as I'm stuck right now

  24. All, I am having trouble finding/removing an infection from my computer. I noticed it the other day and have been battling it since. My primary AV is Bitdefender AntiVirus (Free) which logs constantly that it is blocking infections (example below) and I also have Malwarebytes Premium installed (post infection), logs attached. If I run full scans, including rootkits for malwarebytes, both scanners comes back clean but my BitDefender still reports that it is blocking infections all day long. I have attached FRST, Additions and malwarebytes threat scan logs. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. Bitdefender Log Example: "Item was blocked. 25. Hey there, I am Vicenç, a Spanish student in KTH Stockholm trying to finish my MSc degree. Recently, my laptop (Acer TravelMate P) has slowed down a lot. When investigating it, the performance of my CPU is questionable. When I launch internet browsers, the CPU usage spikes. In addition, my task administrator reveals processes I have no idea how they got there. After googling most of them, they are normal processes, it is just they take much RAM and CPU usage. More than one would normally expect. I noticed as well the creation of random folders with the name of '!EndpointProtectionFolderDo NotDiscard' in Files, Images, Videos and Music, when I never installed Sandblast software. The images are like this: I ran several antimalware programs in safe mode, but none of them detected any infection. The usage of memory is really strange and it is making me worried. I hope some of you can help, I would profoundly appreciate. As someone who relies heavily on his PC, 2 weeks without a laptop would be terrible. I remain at your disposal. Best, Vicenç
