  1. Hello, I have scanned my laptop with Malwarebytes, recently. It ended up showing several PUPs and this Trojan.LNKHijacker.ClnShrt as well. It moved them into quarantine, deleted them and restarted my laptop. It's ok until I'm still without internet connection. When I turn my internet connection on and start scanning, it finds it again with these PUPs. It shows that they are somehow connected with chrome browser, even though i have already deleted the chrome browser. Can you help me, please? Can you provie me with some advice, which can solve this problem? Thanks, Sicko
  2. Yesterday I scanned my pc with avg and malwarebytes because it was lagging and freezing constantly but none of them founded anything, so I tried with adwarecleaner and it found the virus (see image), but after removing it and restarting most of the services and drivers were disabled. I tried deleting the chrome extension that was marked as malicious and restoring windows but it came back again. AdwCleaner[S02].txt AdwCleaner[S00].txt
  3. Hi there, I'm new here and looking for some help (I'm not sure if this is the right place, so if it's not please point me where I need to go). The homepage on my Safari has suddenly changed to http://localhost/?"\ and I'm unable to change it back to Google. I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 on a 2016 MacBook Pro. I've removed WeKnow adware (infected via Chrome) from the same computer months ago but have no other symptoms other than the homepage issue now. I 've had Malwarebytes installed/updated for years now and it's returning zero threats. I only updated my OS three days ago so I'm not s

I have always used a fully updated AVG and Windows legal version, both with firewalls. A couple of times, i have gotten notifications of treats that has been stopped or quarantied. I assume that, through the years som virus and malware must have gotten through. I have stored many pictures on my PC of my art drawings, my family and child, that holds a tremendous personal value to me. I am not the kind of per

  7. Hey guys, hopefully, this issue seems simple to the guys who are really good at getting rid of malware and what not. A few weeks ago, my laptop would work fine for about 15 or so minutes then when I try visiting ANY websites that weren't Google and YouTube, I would get a long loading time followed by a blank screen that says "Chrome took too long to respond". Now, every since yesterday morning, that 15 minutes has gone down to like 2 minutes. I barely have any time to scroll the internet because the Chrome message from before pops up and/or the page freezes and becomes unresponsive. I ima
  8. Hi everyone, a few days ago I ran an ipconfig and noticed I had a DNS prefix: utopia.net. After a few more scans, I noticed that all my traffic was redirected through that site. I tried running Malwarebytes, but it wouldn't open. After running adwcleaner, I could run it, but it didn't find anything. ipconfig still reported that utopia.net redirection was still there. I scanned the registry and manually deleted all entries containing this name, I edited the DNS registry entry to point to my DNS and locked the entry to prevent it from being modified. I did a flushdns and ipconfig reporte

  10. Hi everyone! I'm really concerned about this because spite of my efforts I no longer know what to do to remove this plague from my PC! Scans from Malwarebytes AdwCleaner detect Pup.Optional.Mail.Ru on my PC. However, after trying to remove it the report says the threats could not be removed. It seems to be in Chrome (which I never have installed). The thing is Chrome was uninstalled a serveral weeks ago... Other antispywares not even detect it. I really appreciate any help. My OS is Windows 10 - 64 bits. Attached a report of the scan. After choosing "Clean and Repair" from the Main Panel Wind
  11. Hi, I have Norton Security installed and running on my computer. Can I have Malwarebytes simultaneously runing on the same PC? Do you consider that this is a good idea? Because I am not an expert on cybersecurity, I would like to know your oppinion. Do both programs working together cover more harmfull cases than only one?' Maybe it is a bad idea? or Maybe not? Thank you very much in advance!😉
  12. For the past week or two, I've been getting pop-ups on my Google Chrome Browser. I've attached a screenshot of one of them. The pop-ups try to get me to visit a variety of unsavory websites. But they always have this text: Google Chrome • www.gallery Malwarebytes does not find it. If any of your have suggestions on how I might get rid of this pest, I'd be most grateful. -- Rob
  13. Hello, This is my first time coming here and it seemed to be helpful but I can't find what I need about my exact situation. I've checked out another forum (https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/226720-gexe-removal/) about this topic and it seems to have helped so far but I'm noticing the difference that this is an actual trojan (spyware or malware I'm not too advanced to know which one). Main issue is my main anti-virus program, I use McAfee, can't detect it and for some reason my windows 10 defender won't allow me to start a scan from it. (I presume it's because McAfee is seen as the def
  14. Issue: removing searchencrypt, malware. I have been using malwarebytes many years so did a heuristic scan and report removed lots of stuff. But searchencrypt immediately reappeared and took over all google searches. I am new to forum. It is late and I have this problem (later I will read and learn how to use for optimal response and as to not bother others). I have to sleep and don't know what harm can come to my desktop....anyone? Would greatly appreciate any advice and also what am I doing wrong -- how to keep desktop safer? Thanks, Barbara (Eluard)

  17. So to begin I have had Malwarebytes premium for over a year now and it has served me well, but the automatic scans have never picked up anything on my PC. Firstly I experience the system process shooting from <1% CPU to ~12% CPU and everytime my internet stops working for like 30 seconds at least. Not a full disconnect but if I try loading a webpage in the bottom left it just says "Establishing a secure connection..." Until it finally passes then it loads and system goes back down in usage. Also during this time I usually have discord on my second monitor and I can see my connection to

  20. So i have this program that I confirmed through web searches, is malware that completely eats up my cpus performance. I have a Dell g3 with 8th gen core i5 and a gtx 1050 and 8gb of ram. I was always able to play overwatch for example on max settings and resolution, but with this malware it becomes unplayable. Then i began to check around and task manager and such, found that it was working my cpu up to 75% and beyond on idle. When I tried ending it or uninstalling it it just comes right back. It even freezes chrome as soon as I search any word to solve the problem, as if it were protecting it
  21. I recently got a virus a removed a total of 72 malware using malwarebytes but I noticed that some of the malware was failed to be removed and it is causing my pc to restart everytime I log on. I currently have my pc on safe mode and I am running another scan with malwarebytes. Do I need to install any virus removing programs to my pc and how do I get rid of this? Here were the results of my first scan malwarebytesresults.txt

I downloaded a sketchy file (was trying to make a video about how easy it is to cheat in games) and it went bad, my paypal got charged about an hour later for 100 euros, i chargedback, not so worried about that. i ran a scan and just found 1 Trojan.MalPack.PGen in C:\MSERVICES.exe which obviously i quarantined and subsequent scans show nothing. the internet suggested spyshelter, which bluescreened my pc 3 times before i uninstalled it on safe mode. and now im here. not entirely sure what to do.
  24. I ran a manual malwarebytes scan on my pc while it was on safemode and it detected 172 threats but only 74 were deleted. Do I need to install other virus removing programs? Again my pc is in safe mode.malwarebytesresults.txt the attached file is the result of the scan
  25. Someone just told me a file I just downloaded was a cookie logger, I couldn't find anything that says how these work. I never did run the program, but I still want to know if it could have infected my computer! Please help, even if cookie loggers are fine, answer the question anyway. They showed me pictures of things the logger did, so I believe that they can actually do something.
