  1. So i have this program that I confirmed through web searches, is malware that completely eats up my cpus performance. I have a Dell g3 with 8th gen core i5 and a gtx 1050 and 8gb of ram. I was always able to play overwatch for example on max settings and resolution, but with this malware it becomes unplayable. Then i began to check around and task manager and such, found that it was working my cpu up to 75% and beyond on idle. When I tried ending it or uninstalling it it just comes right back. It even freezes chrome as soon as I search any word to solve the problem, as if it were protecting itself. Basically, the same problem these guys ran into https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/240938-infected-by-a-very-smart-malware https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/244894-infected-by-32-bit-setup-launcher/?tab=comments#comment-1305212 I saw from these other posts that each fix is personalized. That said I would really like the instructions from the very beginning of the process as I am not as initiated as my peers. So i would really appreciate the help as this is worrying me. Thanks in advance!
  2. I recently got a virus a removed a total of 72 malware using malwarebytes but I noticed that some of the malware was failed to be removed and it is causing my pc to restart everytime I log on. I currently have my pc on safe mode and I am running another scan with malwarebytes. Do I need to install any virus removing programs to my pc and how do I get rid of this? Here were the results of my first scan malwarebytesresults.txt
  3. Hello. I have trouble with I think Malware, my Mozilla keep open up a tab with ads eventho its closed or the laptop not connected to internet at all. I have tried using Adwcleaner but it just didn't work at all. Malwarebytes won't open and Malwarebytes chameleon didn't work at all. Please I need your help.
  4. I downloaded a sketchy file (was trying to make a video about how easy it is to cheat in games) and it went bad, my paypal got charged about an hour later for 100 euros, i chargedback, not so worried about that. i ran a scan and just found 1 Trojan.MalPack.PGen in C:\MSERVICES.exe which obviously i quarantined and subsequent scans show nothing. the internet suggested spyshelter, which bluescreened my pc 3 times before i uninstalled it on safe mode. and now im here. not entirely sure what to do.
  5. So to begin I have had Malwarebytes premium for over a year now and it has served me well, but the automatic scans have never picked up anything on my PC. Firstly I experience the system process shooting from <1% CPU to ~12% CPU and everytime my internet stops working for like 30 seconds at least. Not a full disconnect but if I try loading a webpage in the bottom left it just says "Establishing a secure connection..." Until it finally passes then it loads and system goes back down in usage. Also during this time I usually have discord on my second monitor and I can see my connection to the server I'm on go from Green to red and my friends hear my voice choppy and distorted. Second I have downloaded process explorer a few days ago to try and see what is causing system no luck, I don't know what to look for. However the System Idle Process always shows that it's using ~90% of my CPU but if I open task manager my CPU is only at 4%. Only looking at the process through process explorer does it show it's using 90% Lastly I'm writing this on my phone so I will get onto my computer when it is needed for any scan logs etc. And try to continue this thread on my PC. Oh and I sometimes see command boxes I think? Pop up on my taskbar for a split second and sometimes see this happen in the toolbar thing but not sure it happens so fast all I see is some movement.
  6. I got a virus from supposedly installshield in the syswow64 folder and it suspends antivirus programs and web browsers when trying to search for antivirus also pops up with ads
  7. It seems like i caught a very nasty adware virus that always reinstalls itself after some time. Adwcleaner, RKill and Malwarebytes didnt help so far and im out of options, ill attach a screenshot of the Scan from Malwarebytes.
  8. I ran a manual malwarebytes scan on my pc while it was on safemode and it detected 172 threats but only 74 were deleted. Do I need to install other virus removing programs? Again my pc is in safe mode.malwarebytesresults.txt the attached file is the result of the scan
  9. Someone just told me a file I just downloaded was a cookie logger, I couldn't find anything that says how these work. I never did run the program, but I still want to know if it could have infected my computer! Please help, even if cookie loggers are fine, answer the question anyway. They showed me pictures of things the logger did, so I believe that they can actually do something.
  10. My wife's MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) running Yosemite (10.10.5) had its Chrome browser hijacked by "Search Encrypt" 3 days ago. I spent the evening following online recommendations: 1) removing the offending extension or app - NONE FOUND 2) within Chrome "Restore settings to their original defaults" - DIDN'T WORK 3) Remove Chrome and various files & pref's from Library; 3A) Downloaded and ran Malwarebytes - Didn't find anything 3B) and then download and do fresh install of Chrome. - This worked - UNTIL she re-synced bookmarks, etc from her Google account. Chrome was immediately re-hijacked as before. 4) For now, I've re-deleted Chrome, and she's using Safari, though it is greatly impeding her normal work flow in her school classroom. SO... I need help! I assume that Search Encrypt has hidden something in what's synced to her Google account, and it may be synced into her Android phone also, though she hasn't mentioned any problems there yet. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

  13. Hello I am here due to an ongoing concern I have detected on now 3 of my laptops. I've researched for hours on end going on almost 2 months now until deciding to post here. Whatever this malware is, it's definitely deceptive. It accesses and changes passwords, usernames, logins, access privledges, virus scans, security settings, the list goes on. Through process of elimination I'm leaning towards a root on my PCI but I can be completely wrong on that. Any help would be so greatly appreciated! I look forward to any help in the future and thank you in advance!
  14. So it looks like I have accidentally visited a shady web page, that infected my computer. Now I have ads popping on my desktop every 30 minutes or so. I did however uninstall google chrome, but the ads kept popping anyway. I have so far tried these antivirus programs: - rogueKiller - adwcleaner - Malwarebytes - Junkware Removal Tool - TDSSKiller - RKill - SuperAntiSpyware But none of them worked. The ads still pop up. I have attached a screenshot of how the ads look. Does anyone have an idea, how to remove them? I don' t want to reinstall windows if I can. 16. Hello, Could you help me with my problem ? I installed a program that turned out to be a malware, installed several bad programs on my computer. I could delete them all with Malwarebytes but it changed something in the IT access and now my windows defender "virus & thread protection" and "protection updates" won't be enabled now because : Your IT administrator has limited access to some area of this app, and the item you tried to access is not available. Contact IT helpdesk for more information. It is my personal computer and it is not normal that there is these restrictions, I'm pretty sure it is because of this bad program. I've tried changing the registry for windows defender but won't work still. Would do have a solution please ?? Thanks a lot

  20. I recently had gotten a lot of malware onto my PC. I cleared most of it using Malwarebytes, Hitman and other antivirus software. I however, still have some issues. svchost.exe now consumes more than 50% of my CPU usage and I get these notifications from Malwarebytes that I have attached to this post. I have heard that information from my PC could be getting leaked/stolen. Help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

  23. My laptop has been infected by a malware which keeps disconnecting my internet connection and sometimes the wifi status LED of the laptop would go off and come back after sometime. I checked the taskbar and few processes appear suspicious with no description. I tried to create dump file of the suspicious processes but access is denied. A scan with malwarebytes could not detect anything. Please advice how to remove the virus. Thank you.
  24. https://i.imgur.com/vmgKFmh.png I recently downloaded a few files, and I think my computer probably got infected because of those files as they weren't particularly from a source that I would trust. I did remove the files shown in the screenshot but I'm still paranoid concerning the data and security of my computer.
  25. Every few minutes the malware I'm infected with tries to open websites like pool.minexmr.com This leads MWB "real-time protection" to report it has blocked the website, but it does not quarantine the malware itself, which is not detected when it does a threat scan. The signs and effects of the malware are as reported in previous posts in this forum - see InstallShield Virus keeps on coming back By MatthewCostanilla, January 6 2019; and Infected by a very smart malware By xRaydenx, December 26, 2018 An executable file creates a process visible in Task Manager: File = c:\Windows\SysWOW64\InstallShield\setup.exe Process = "32-bit Setup Launcher" Highly disturbing consequences, including: Running mb3 and doing a scan right after bootup works, but finds nothing. If mb3 is run again it freezes up and cannot be killed by Task Mgr. The Support Tool freezes if run. Browsers freeze when attempting to run malware-related searches or to open malware-related websites My Windows and Office365 both lost their activation (others haven't reported this) Things I have tried: Following the first steps advised in the most recent of the posts mentioned earlier, I attempted to run mb3 in Safe Mode with Networking. It opened but with all layers disabled. When I tried to repair it with the Support Tool, the tool froze but it turned out that mb3 itself was completely removed. I am attaching the logs gathered by the Support Tool; details of the non-results of the last scan done in Normal Mode after bootup; and an example of the websites that mb3 blocks in real time. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated! Threat Scan.txt Websites Blocked.txt mbst-grab-results.zip
