Hello, I made my first computer about 5 months ago, I activated the Windows with kmspico. For the first 2 weeks everything worked fine: Windows update, Windows defender etc. But then problems started to occur: I stopped getting the update, the Windows defender stopped working and the computer started acting strange, sometimes it would shut down or restart or lose the signal from gpu. I would just like to try to fix the windows update and the windows defender because I do not feel safe while using this computer. Even though I know reinstalling Windows will be the best option, I do not wont to lose all the data and files, first I want to try to fix it. I started looking at this post: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/241381-kmspico-installed-problem-with-windows-10/ but i figured out the post was closed so i decided to open my topic. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone As mentioned above, I have installed a fake copy of KMSpico and now my computer has been infected by a series of trojans, malware, and adware. Although I tried to remove everything through the use of Adwcleaner, Malwarebytes and hitmanpro, I think my computer is still not clean since there's always a notification that says my antivirus protection has been turned off right after startup. Malwarebytes detected nothing on the computer as of now so I'm not too sure what to do at this point to get rid of the remaining trojan lurking in the background. I'll attach my Farbar scanlog and the addition text file here for reference. Thank you so much in advanceFRST.txtAddition.txt
Hello everyone, Well, as you may have read from the title my computer have been infected by the KMSpico malware and consequently, dozens of trojans, viruses, etc. have been installed. The reason why I installed KMSpico is quite obvious... so let's skip that part, I've already learned my lesson. Now, I installed Malwarebytes and run an analysis. It detected 658 threats, so you can imagine how unsafe I felt after that even though they've been removed. What I'd like to know is if you could guide me on how to make sure my machine is indeed completely clean from all the trash that was installed, e.g. cryptocurrency miners, adware, browser hijackers, and other potentially unwanted programs. Here I'll attach the results I've got from Malwarebytes: malwaredetection.txt, malwaredetection2.txt. Thank you in advance for your help, Regards
