  1. Malwarebytes is detecting IObit Driver Booster Free as a PUP and removing it. This is a false positive. I have uploaded the scan results. Driver Booster False Positive Results.txt
  2. What is Driver Booster? The Malwarebytes research team has determined that Driver Booster is a "system optimizer". These so-called "system optimizers" use intentional false positives to convince users that their systems have problems. Then they try to sell you their software, claiming it will remove these problems.More information can be found on our Malwarebytes Labs blog. How do I know if I am infected with Driver Booster? This is how the main screen of the system optimizer looks:You will find these icons in your taskbar, your startmenu, and on your desktop:and see these warnings during install
  3. Sorry to resurrect an old post but a workaround shouldn't be a resolution. Would someone please explain why previously detected items such as registry keys do not show up in the registry key exclusion area? I had expected them to... Also, I am running a custom scan and I asked it to warn about PUPs, not to quarantine them. It seems to ignore this setting, which is frustrating as well. I enjoy and rely on the product but I'm annoyed at some of the quirks. Thanks in advance. ### Are Exploits not the same as items flagged during a scan? My PUP registry key (Adboe) does not show up her
  4. This is very frustrating! I'm a Malwarebytes fan, and I am certainly an Iobit fan! - Your excuse can longer be that iobit uses pup files. This is a known entity that has a long standing record of producing quality products. These exclusions should already, by courtesy, be "excluded" from Malwarebytes. We all know the reason they're not, and this brings up the question of ethical practices. Sure, they may be a competitor. You may already have a friendly relationship with AVG's new tools, or some other PC Fix tools provider. But in truth, aren't you just as interested in being loyal to your
  5. I used to run IObit ASC until I installed MWB3, which I am running now as my antivirus, Win 10. ASC has been uninstalled. When I run the AdwCleaner scan, I come up with this as a PUP.\: ***** [ Folders ] ***** PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare, C:\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V8 PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare, C:\ProgramData\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V8 PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare, C:\ProgramData\Application Data\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V8 PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare, C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V8 PUP.Optional.AdvancedSystemCare, C:\Users\All Us
  6. Guys, I rarely make comments because in truth, the usually NEVER result in a positive outcome. People who WANT to continue doing what they're doing, do so any way... However, my frustration right now is trying to run Malwarebytes, a trusted source of mine, with iobit products, another "trusted" source of mine! I've even added their information in the "exclusions" tab, yet you continue to bring their products to your scan list every single time. Including the "exact" file listed in the exclusions..... The only conclusion one can draw from such acts, is that you "absolutely" have a campaig

  8. Since MalwareBytes quarantined/removed a load of iobit files, I decided to go ahead and uninstall all iobit programs. But because MalwareBytes has made those files vanish, none of it appears in my list of programs anymore. So I searched for iobit files and deleted all but one, which still won't delete because it keeps telling me it's in use. I planned to try removing that in safe mode next time I reboot. Except after the deletion, though I'm pretty sure I didn't actually have the iobit extension, Chrome stopped opening. It tells me that "safecheckcode64.dll" is missing. I tried reinstalling i
  9. It seems Malwarebytes is going to war with Iobit (Advanced SystemCare) and thereby closing previous threads about their decision to detect ASC as PUP and therefore deleting ASC from people's systems. As one can see from the previous threads (which have been closed from further comments by MWB)....everyone disagrees with this position of MWB. Why is MWB closing these threads from further comments?? Because they don't want people talking about it.....because they can see the public backlash and would prefer to hide from it instead reversing this position. Strange, as I don't see ASC detectin
  10. The newest update package (1.0.1524) and component package (1.0.43) keeps reporting PUPs (many) for Iobit Advance System Care (ver ... believe FALSE positive ...
  11. is anyone else having this problem? i have all the latest updates from the IOBit product im using and also the latest free version of MB 3.06 IOBit product im using currently being ID'ed a threat is the following: ADVANCED SYSTEMCARE 10 PRO 10.2.0 (ACTIVATED FULL PAID VERSION) it wasnt doing this a week ago when i was using MB 3.05 and ran a full scan. a week ago i had same current builds of IOBit products except yesterday i got all the latest Microsoft cumulative and other updates as well for March 2017. i thought it mightve been a current issue with MB 3.05 so i updated to 3.
  12. Can staff please consider maybe just blocking the .exe rather than over 600 files from one 'PUP'. The hassle this caused me this morning is really ridiculous. This program runs for me in the background, and as I posted before your detection caused my PC to not let me log into my windows account etc. etc. It seems unreasonable to have to list seemingly every single file.
  13. I went through troubleshooting with MalwareBytes Customer Service. They referred me to the forum. 0. The system is regularly scanned, protected by Kaspersky, MBytes, and MBytes Exploit blocker, and the only PUP that I recall having been detected is Viewpoint. 1. AdwCleaner detects registry key HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{10921475-03CE-4E04-90CE-E2E7EF20C814}. On cleaning using AdwCleaner, the registry key is present after restart. Bleepingcomputer forum suggests this is an IObit entry. IObit and the IObit Cleaner have not been present on the sys
  14. I realize you guys were ripped off by IObit with them stealing your malware definitions and I've respected that by not purchasing their Malware Fighter product; however, that doesn't give Malwarebytes the right to target IObit's other programs that customers, like me, have legitimately paid for. What they did was wrong! However, I have been a customer of theirs long before that happened and have been happy with their other software that I've been using for years. Your determination to quarantine/remove these other programs from my computer is becoming obnoxious. I've told your Malwar
  15. I ran JRT & it removed several files & folders pertaining to iobit driver booster pro, which meant that I could no longer run it. I had to reinstall the program. Is this a false positive?
  16. There was an informal series of tests done to compare Malwarebytes verses Malware Fighter 3. Malwarebytes kicked butt. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium verses Iobit's Malware Fighter 3 Pro. Tested. http://nosebotpress.blogspot.ca/2015/04/malwarebytes-anti-malware-premium.html click an ad to support the author:)
  17. I, too, seem to have rushed through the download of IObit and not realized that I was getting this malware, or whatever it is. I have just deleted the Slick Savings and IObit Apps Toolbar v 8.7 using uninstall, but still have redirects on all my browsers to ...spigot-yhp-ch. I would really appreciate some help ridding my computer of this; looks like there are a number of experts who have successfully helped members. I will, however, need to be walked through the steps. Using Windows 7, 64-bit. Thank you so much for helping!
  18. I uninstalled the IObit Advanced System Care and Smart Defrag products about 6 months ago but still have occasions when booting up my system I get their defrag program running. I can't find how to get rid of this anywhere. I would like help removing this and any other IObit "infections" I might still have. Thank you. Derek
