  1. Hi, I am encountering the following error whenever I try to manually check for updates from the setting menu or perform a scan: "Something went wrong - One or more items in the current update did not complete successfully. Please check your internet connetion and try again. If you need more help, visit our support site." Also note the spelling mistake in the error message (i.e. 'connetion' should've been 'connection') not relevant by any means and I misspell often myself but just putting it out there just in case. There's nothing wrong with my internet and restarting my computer also didn
  2. I was prompted that my free version malwarebytes was out of date, and the newest premium trial version was installed when I updated. Fine, will try it out for 14 days. But I cannot get internet connection w/o disabling real-time protection. How to remedy?
  3. Good day. I have been using Malwarebytes for a few years now to run periodic (monthly) scans on my laptop. It rarely, if ever, detects anything. Maybe just 1 or 2 detections in the past 3 years. For about a year now, when I run the "Threat Scan," everything comes up clean. But when I run the "Custom Scan" and check all the boxes to have it scan my entire system, it cancels part way through with an error message about how it could not complete the scan. Today, I went to run a scan, and I got a notice that a new version of Malwarebytes was available, so I let it download/install. Afte
  4. It all started when I wanted to do a custom scan and added scan for root kits on my Windows 7 hp laptop. After that I reset my computer to delete a few Trojans. When it turned back on, it said Windows 7 was not genuine, I lost internet connection (wireless and Ethernet), and the program doesn't open so I can't check if it accidentally deleted an important Windows file. It can still turn on but it notify me that I might be a victim of software counterfeit. What should I do and did I corrupt a file or did a virus do something?

  6. I am unable to change the proxy server settings: it always reverts to proxy server 127.0.0.1 Port 60874. I have run Microsoft Malicious software tool and a Microsoft script to fix the registry but the problem remains. Attached are the text files that FRST generated. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  7. Hi there, I was hoping someone could help me....I've seen several topics like this, but it seems each requires personalised help, so I figured I'd post my own request. I recently ran a Malwarebytes scan on my laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit) to try and get rid of 'omega plus' and several other annoying things that kept popping up. Uninstalling and re-installing Google Chrome didn't seem to remedy the problem. Now it's unable to connect to the Internet using either Chrome or IE, saying their is an issue with the proxy. I've attached the scan log and protection log that were generated from the
  8. Hi, My OS is Windows 7, 64bit. I recently installed the Malwarebytes Antimalware. After scanning and quarantining 200+ files and rebooting my computer, I find that I am unable to access the internet on any of my browsers. What can I do? I have a file of the log I ran (in .txt) but I am not sure what else I need. I am not computer-savvy so please tell me what you need. Your help is great appreciated, thank you! mbam-log-2014-10-29.zip
  9. Hi, After using Malwarebytes to remove malware and adware from Windows 8.1, I cannot get Internet connection. I've seen other posts like this but they recommend getting individual instructions. I'm not sure exactly what information you require, as I'm not all that good with laptops, but let me know and I'll post them. I'm really grateful for your help.
  10. My Dell Laptop will not connect to the internet via wifi or ethernet cable. My desk top, iphone and smart tv all work okay. I tried using a wireless usb adapter and that didn't work. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem. I even swapped out another motherboard with the same result. All other programs work although my computer takes a long time to boot up and it won't connect to the internet and wifi. When I boot the computer on, It says, "Connection Status Unknown." "Windows could not connect to the event notification service..." Norton Symantic sends me the following message:
  11. Hello everyone, Today I performed a full system scan with MBAM which detected the infected registry key: HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\SrvID (Malware.Trace). It was quarantied, and I permanently deleted it and disconnected the infected PC from the network. After Searching I found some topics about it claiming it keeps appearing in scans, like this one: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=124721&st=0. So I rebooted into Safe Mode and fully re-scanned my system with MBAM, found nothing and the registry key was nowhere to be found when I searched for it manually. Th
  12. The attached screenshot is my issue . No internet connection... Keep with me and I apologize for the excessively large screenshots. The error message caught my attention, though right after this scan. I couldn't "analyze this" I got the 'No internet connection available' pop up. I began searching my PC for issues to resolve another issue that brings up the same internet error. The game League of Legends. I came across this error about 2 weeks ago out of random. I hopped back on my PC after not using it for maybe a month solid (I was using my laptop). And I ended up uninstalling and attempting
