  1. Hello! I deleted my trash the other day and has happened to me twice that some random files re appear in trash after deletion, does this have to di with malware or just a simple bug?
  2. Hi, I am experiencing this issue since last week now. When selecting a file anywhere on the computer, it gets deleted to recycle bin and a message shows "transfer could not be completed". I have scanned for viruses but nothing is detected. The issue stops when I press any key on the keyboard and again comes some time later. This happens even when we type an email content. If the cursor is on the 1st letter it will forward delete the rest of the letters. Also it keeps typing "dot" if the num lock key is on. If it is off, then no issues. Is this a keypad issue or is this some kind of a virus. Please help me. Thanks Vishnu
  3. So basically, I was making something for my friend where I downloaded something. Long story short, it was a virus and it kept downloading these Russian apps to my computer. I used Malwarebytes and I scanned and quarantined my computer, so the bad stuff is gone, but so is my good stuff. Is there anyway to restore these files to my computer again? It wasn't just a few files I can redownload, it's about 50 GB worth of various images and videos I made. EDIT: Sorry lol, after almost having a heart attack, I poked around in the users folder and sure enough, there was all my stuff like it was never touched, under my name's folder.

  5. I have a had a problem on my pc for a while that in google chrome I kept having to click away ads, additional pages were opening and settings changed unwanted so I decided to scan my pc, first using avg but that found nothing, chrome cleanuptool didnt want to start so I ended up using malwarebytes. it quite quickly found like 10000 'dangerous' files and quarantined them. (These were like 1/4 'fraudtool' and 3/4 PUP) I am not really fantastic knowing what these do, and just decided to remove them all. When I did this malwarebytes said I had to restart my pc, so I did. When it started up again I didnt notice anything had changed and malwarebytes again said I had to restart, I had to restart like this for about 5 times when my pc suddenly gave me the message that there was a problem and that it was usually resolved by logging of and logging on again. When I did this, suddenly my taskbar was empty besides microsoft edge. When I checked my documents every single one had dissappeared, in my downloads same thing. A bunch of programs stayed, but seemingly random programs had dissappeared as well (discord, minecraft) now these are things I can easily install again. However many files that disappeared are really important schoolwork. And I can not imagine my pc removed all of those files in such a short time. Is there any way to restore these files? ~a desperate kid who really needs his files back
  6. Hello, Yesterday I ran the anti-malware software and it found a ton of threats or potential threats. Trusting the software, I went ahead and deleted the files and restarted my computer as prompted. After that, my computer would not boot up. It would get stuck on the windows boot up screen with the circle loading icon. Eventually, I figured out that by going into the boot menu on start up and manually selecting my SSD, it would boot up into Windows. However, now I realize that most of my hard drive partitions are missing - either Unallocated or Failed (see attached image) - which is causing all the programs installed on my other drives to fail to start. In addition, all my personal documents are stored on one of the other drives and can no longer be found. I don't understand how this happened. Please help me recover these partitions and files.
  7. Unable to download on Windows Vista computer. Gets most of the way through download and then comes back with (filename) .exe contained a virus and was deleted. Virus programs and firewalls are not working properly. Submitted files to HiJack This Support four days ago - no response. Have submitted files to McAffee (response at end) using Susp file tool downloaded to unaffected system and transferred on disk. Susp file program ran in safe mode detected 85 files submitted to McAfee as logs it would not submit as samples but only detected around 4 suspicious files in regular mode. First instance of Stinger ran and or the analysis of Suspicious files found the following but did not necessarily Quarantine Trojan/PSW.VKont.bb2; (vrobot) Trojan Win32.Agent.44168; (TrendMicro Home-Call) TROJ_GEN.F47V0816; Artemis!F5CD45497111. Instances of Stinger ran afterward detected nothing. Believe Stinger and other previously clean files now are infected. Link for HiJack this http://sourceforge.net/p/hjt/support-requests/30/ support request that contains the log files etc. . . . Have ran the following programs from a clean computer burned disk but had trouble initializing most at first and took several attempts to run them.
