  1. Hey guys, So I've been having an issue with Steam for the past few months, every sense the new update came out. This issue is that the game hosting service steam doesn't have the ability to connect to servers after I install Malware-bytes onto my desktop. I've tested this multiple times, altered multiple factors and done a number of different things, and this is the only constant issue. Whenever I attempt to log in with malware byte installed, steam fails to connect to its servers, but once its been purged via the removal tool steam has no issues. I would love to keep using Malware-bytes service, but I will not if this issue can't be resolved. I will provide any support I can from my end.

  5. a couple of months ago a site I used weekly was suddenly blocked: www[.]hintwater.com. Then last Monday a site I used daily started getting blocked--not the root site www[.]mypoints.com, but any survey I took ends up going to www[.]swagbucks.com (they bought mypoints a while ago). So I might get through a whole survey, but to get the points, it goes to swagbucks before going back to mypoints. Thanks

  11. Hello.. these following sites: https://up.top4top.net/ https://top4top.net/ are for a popular file uploading service in the middle east.. would you please find a solution instead of blocking them completely and asking users to exclude them(which is risky)? or is it truly harmful and we should advise against using it? Thanks for reading and your help in-advanced..
  12. The website http:// www. Smarturl. it is being blocked entirely. (I put spaces in between so it won't link). I use this website to make my links accessible to people from multiple countries, and now it's being blocked by your service for those who have malwarebytes. Except, smarturl is just a referral service. They themselves are not malicious and don't host anything. They are just a link shortener. So why this is being blocked is beyond me and it is definitely hurting my business, as people buy my stuff using those links, and now they can't access them anymore if they have malwarebytes active.
  13. MalwareBytes Versions: 3.0.6, 3.1.2 Date: 06/16/2017 There is a MAJOR problem with a recent MalwareBytes database release (06/16/2017). RE: Web Protection blocking legitimate domains. Re: Domain Suffix: “ddns.net” I have several hundred machines that can no longer access any “ddns.net” suffix domains. The service “WWW.NoIp.Com” provides a tool for dynamic domains to be redirected. As of this past Friday (06/16/17), I began receiving phone calls from clients that can no longer reach their domains. Example: “TestDomain.ddns.net”, “RedirectedDomain.ddns.net”, “Support.ddns.net” With the Friday (06/16/17) update from MalwareBytes, all of my clients that use the suffix “ddns.net” have been blocked by MalwareBytes. WHY? These are legitimate web domains. MalwareBytes has apparently “BlackListed” this domain suffix. My only alternative is to place a domain exclusion on every computer, which entail several hundred machines. On v.3.0.6, I had to use the specific "full" (example.ddns.net) domain entry as an exclusion. On v.3.1.2, I only had to enter the "suffix" (ddns.net) as the exclusion. If there are other users that are experiencing this same problem, I urge you to contact MalwareBytes support...that is if they will answer you. I'm an electrical engineer with 45+ years field experience. I don't cry 'wolf' arbitrarily. End

  15. Hi all ^^ Here is my problem. I suddenly, and for no reason, lost some fps on my games. So I searched up on internet what is possibly causing this fps loss and found a topic talking about some malawqare infection. So I tried to install malawarebyte BUT i keep getting the message "the publisher certificate is not valid". So i tried downloading it on internet explorer wich gave me the same error but this time it was a windows 10 message. So i searched up a bit and ran mbar as told in many topics. When it finished it told me "scan complete no malaware found". I'm actually stuck here. What should i do ? should i reset my computer or is there a solution ? Thanks for taking time to read Draskulls Edit : I removed the malawarebytes certficate and installed malawarebytes BUT cannot run it even if i go to the command prompt admin and paste the path
  16. Today a notification keeps appearing relentlessly and will not close when I press the Close button. The notification is as the attached screenshot. Is this malware related?
  17. Softwareclub.com 109.203.97.72 is being blocked by Malwarebytes. An interesting thing is their current home page is a plug for Malwarebytes. Why is this site being blocked?
  18. Recently I made a stupid mistake and it resulted in my computer being infected by some malware/virus that has planted down some bitcoin miners. Playing video games was impossible because of drastic frame drops and using an virus scanner (I forgot how it was called because it was late at night and I was tired) it mentioned the name "bitcoinminer" or similar. Anyways, I managed to remove these miners to some extend, I can only guess, but one big problem hasn't been solved yet. This virus has somehow modified the administrator and blocked many popular anti-virus softwares or tools from lauching. Typical message: "An Administrator has prevented this program from launching...". It happens when I want to launch tdssskiller, JRT, adwcleaner and even the installation of mbam 3. Though I did manage to install Chameleon and remove the malwares. A re-scan has showed that my computer is clean, though I am not sure yet. I also tried to install mbam 3 using hidden admin profile but it gave me a runtime error. So, what can I do to fix this "administrator" problem? System: Windows 10 (64bit) Pro
  19. Hi all. My computer is losing space from a virus and I need help cleaning it. I installed a few programs including aswmbr, FRST, JRT, Malwarebytes, adwcleaner, and securitycheck. I ran aswmbr and found an infected file. I'll attach my aswmbr scan below. Thanks. aswMBR.txt
  20. So I was watching something on 123movies (now gomovies.to), which is a streaming site. They route videos through other servers and it was working fine today, but then Malwarebytes suddenly decides to block it. I tried adding the site to the exceptions and I tried adding the IP address too. Nothing is working. I want to know if there is a way to reverse the changes made. Otherwise, I am honestly just going to remove malwarebytes from my computer. It already seems to me that the program is faulty and identifies false positives fa too readily, without even given em a choice before it blocks something. It's absurd. No other program I have ever used just automatically blocks something like that. I have only had the program for a day and it is already doing weird things to my system. How do I reverse these changes? Will they go away if I uninstall it, or am I just screwed now? Here's the log details. Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 5/6/17 Protection Event Time: 4:07 AM Logfile: Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.0.6.1469 Components Version: 1.0.103 Update Package Version: 1.0.1880 License: Trial -System Information- OS: Windows 8.1 CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , , Blocked, [-1], [-1],0.0.0 -Website Data- Domain: IP Address: 216.21.13.14 Port: [58445] Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\43.0.2442.1144\opera.exe (end)
  21. Hello, I'm a premium user of Malwarebytes and I love the protection, I think it's well worth the price. I haven't had any issues at all with it and I've seen it work in real time and think it's great! However, I just bought Watch_Dogs 2 from Steam and have been playing it for a few hours and have noticed something I've never seen before as a popup. I'm not sure if it's related to the game or not. I don't think it is because I have been playing for hours and it JUST happened. Also, I don't do multiplayer (it's not my cup of tea). This is quite ironic, considering the game I'm playing xD. I took a screenshot of the message and attached it below. Could someone take a look at it and see if they can tell me whats going on? thanks
  22. I'm have noticed in the last day or so that MB is blocking access to ipecho.net. The log follows: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 5/2/17 Protection Event Time: 2:18 PM Logfile: Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.0.6.1469 Components Version: 1.0.103 Update Package Version: 1.0.1853 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , , Blocked, [-1], [-1],0.0.0 -Website Data- Domain: ipecho.net IP Address: 5.12.153.81 Port: [64499] Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe (end) I've done some research on ipecho.net and cannot get a clear sense as to why it is being blocked.
  23. This one really had me tearing my hair out..... Subsequent to an MB automatic update, two older PC's in the same office, both running Windows 10 32-bit with latest MS patches, began to experience issues with loading the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox. In the case of Chrome, it would display boxes for a few different extensions saying they had "crashed." These extensions included Adobe Acrobat and Google Hangouts. I searched the Google forums, and nothing they suggested worked. Then someone suggested Norton AV could be causing the problem. But that wasn't it. It was Malwarebytes. With it completely turned off, the browsers would load with no problems. The fix I finally came up isn't at all optimal, but I had no choice. Went to Settings:Protection:Manage Protected Applications. From there I turned off protection for Chrome and Firefox. It solved the problem on both machines. Both machines had startup pages that pointed to Google. But the site didn't matter. I couldn't access ANY site at all until I made these changes. I haven't seen this issue arise on 64-bit Windows 10 machines and no problems on any of the Macs. I sure don't like the idea of folks surfing the web with no malware protection, but they have to be able to do their work. If anyone knows of a better fix, I would be grateful if you would share it. Thanks!
  24. Hello, new to the site and the program. Currently running on a trial version, though really pleased by the program thus far. Anyway, today just past I noticed Malwarebytes was informing me about an ip address getting blocked making both inbound & outbound connections. I checked the logs, it had been doing so since 12:00 am, so far about 50 times, maybe more. at times when I noticed, I tried turning off my browser, and all programs that communicate with the internet, but they continued, so I unplugged my ethernet cable, which stopped it. When I plugged it back in about, it started again about 10 minutes after. I checked the ip addresses, and they show up as coming from various foreign countries. 185.98.24.5:59094 87.116.189.55:59094 185.98.24.5:59094 I tried doing a malware scan with Malwarebytes, which found a bunch of minor stuff, though the problem persisted. Then I reset my ip address and went offline for a few hours, and haven't gotten any blocked connection notifications for about 3 hours now, but I doubt that resolved the problem completely I looked this problem up online, and saw that many people have had the same thing happen to them, though I hadn't been able to find a generalized guide, so I figured i'd seek help here. I've attached the scan by FRST, as suggested in this forum. FRST.txt Addition.txt
