  1. Hello. I am a loyal user of AdwCleaner, and I love it. However, an hour ago I tried to use my 6.XX version and I was prompted to updat to verision 7.0, which I did After downloading I startyed the new version, but it crashes eveytime (see attached image), and I cannot use the older one, since it takes me to the newer version download site. The perfect catch 22 situation. What can I do? I ma using Windows 10- 64 Regards, Vladimir
  2. With the premium trial MalwareBytes has picked up something. Firefox tries to connect to tradeadexchange (which I've never seen opening, probably due to my adblocker) multiple times, and now MalwareBytes premium is blocking said connection. However, neither the adware cleaner nor malware bytes could detect the actual virus and it keeps being blocked. I just deleted my cookies and for now it is not being blocked anymore, but in case the issue is still here, what do I have to do? I'm also surprised as I rarely download stuff from the internet, and when I do is from trusted sources, so I have no idea how such virus could get in. I also have a good adblocker so there's no way I randomly clicked on a shady ad. EDIT Deleting the cookies hasn't worked, Firefox just tried to connect again. I'm adding the FRST scan results. 3. There is a list of adware on this page: https://www.adaware.com/knowledge-database/spyware-glossary Perhaps Malwarebytes takes care of most of them. The list seems to be about the same size as the one that goes by too fast for me to read in the premium version of Malwarebytes. It there an explicit list I can read? Thank you for your help. 4. Hi, i need some help here, i have been trying to eliminate this crap from my computer for a while now without sucess. I used several different programs, sometimes ADWcleaner finds ONE threat, called br.ask (search provider) into the webdata file, but i have tried remove it using it both in normal mode as in the safemode, but then it comes back again and again. Sometimes the search gives no accusation of it but the plage is there somewhere because my browsers keep poping several new windows or refreshing constantly, to the point that i cannot even type anything without it being refreshed or redirected to the homepage. It's preetty annoying. Another program that usually finds something is ZHP Cleaner, which often finds an adware called PUP.Optional.Eazel, but the same thing happens: i remove it, and it caomes back. Other times it doesn't find anything, but the brwosers keep getting corrupted. Tried it in safe mode as well. By the way, while in safe mode WITH network, my internet is not available, somehow and i can't find a way to make it work. Another program that found something is DNS Repair, which gives the following report: I also use several other programs, icluding Avast free, iobit antimalware, JRT, Hijackthis, FSS, zoek, roguekiller, hitman, FRST64 and others but they usually don't find anything. I have read somewhere that there's this kind of malware/adware callep shoppers which can change the hosts file path in the dnsapi.dll file so that it remais with the same lenght of characters, preventing it from being accused as infected by the antimalware programs, and then it creates another hosts file to which this new path links and then you can never remove it....is this real? is there a way to remove this plage or the only solution is formating? well, i hope you can help, thx! EDIT: Oh, in the hopes it can help, i'm providing you with a report i just created using FRST64: idk why it creates 2 different reports when doing a examination, so i'm providing you with both: Sorry it is in portuguese because it's my main language, i hope it's not a problem since it's only in the headlines.
  5. Gif of pubads.g.doubleclick.net affecting my network So yeah the gif explains it all, you can see that the adware pubads.g.doubleclick.net is affecting the network and most of the applications that require the internet are affected as well. And yes I have searched on the net of removing and blocking it, so far I have found no solution to it. The programs that I ran is Malwarebytes and SUPERAnti-Spyware, I have run the full scan but they have not found or fixed this issue. I even edited my host file to block the address 'pubads.g.doubleclick.net', but that doesn't work. I'm thinking of blocking the local ports but they are so many. What I'm asking is there is a way to block it or better remove somehow. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  6. Hello, Firstly, thank you so much for taking a look at my machine! Please find the "Addition.txt" & "FRST.txt" files attached. Secondly, The Problem: Every time i open my default browser (Firefox) I am redirected to pages and search engines other than my nominated homepage (Google.com). This sometimes redirects me to the common 'your machine is infected call this number etc' scam pages. This happens upon opening the browser. I am using Chrome to type this request for help. so it might be browser specific as I was not confronted with the malware upon opening chrome. However, the chrome home page seemed to be similar to one of the redirects in Firefox, so who knows *shrugs*. I have tried installing freeware recently which is most likely the origin of the problem. I have not tried to hack/crack/work around software at all. Third, What I've tried so far: a) I have tried running threat scan in malware-bytes. b) I have tried running a malware-bytes custom scan with 'scan for rootkits' selected. c) I have tried 'refreshing' Firefox from the trouble shooting menu. Things only seem to be getting worse Thank you again for your help, i look forward to your reply. Warm regards, JennaTills Addition.txt FRST.txt
  7. Long story, bear with me. I had 4 pieces of adware on this machine when I had finished the first scan with . I kept getting 'hung' during the cleaning process. After 45 minutes of waiting I decided to kill the program and try again. And again, and again, and again no no avail. Before each scan before detection I would receive this message, (which I am still receiving). I downloaded the new build only to run into the exact same error as before. I thought the issue was fixed when i was prompted to restart my machine, (with version when the scan had finished. However, there were no detections upon the reboot. It did find some of the adware and destroy it, as there are only two entries now, it just feels a bit weird. Again, I am still hanging on 'cleaning' right before the unhandled popup and I am running the latest build of adwcleaner. Attaching the txt file below. (Current.) AdwCleaner[S58].txt
  8. Hi Guys, I opened chrome a few mins ago to find that my chrome home page is now attempting to convince me that Wenjiao from China wants to be my girlfriend. I've just run a full scan with malwarebytes, but it didnt solve the issue. Has anyone encountered this one before? I have attached a screenshot of both the issue and the firebug report from inspecting the ad which includes an address to a script that doesn't seem legit : "chrome-extension://bmagokdooijbeehmkpknfglimnifench/googleChrome.js" Needless to say this does not show in my list of installed extensions. Any ideas how to get rid of the adware?

  10. Hola, soy nuevo usuario y siento no hablar inglés. A mi me ocurre exactamente lo mismo; este problema me apareció hace unos 15 días sin poder asociarlo a un hecho causante. He probado varios antivirus y programas de malware y aunque algunos lo detectan y notifican que se ha borrado, la carpeta C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local/YSearchUtil vuelve a aparecer. Creo que esto es la causa por la que mi equipo tarda de arrancar más de 12 minutos, el equipo es un portatil MSI con i7, SSD y 16GB de RAM. Es curioso que cuando se hace reboot desde adwCleaner, arranca en unos segundos como lo hacía antes, pero si se apaga el equipo con la opción "Apagar" , el arranque es muy lento, se queda la pantalla negra durante unos minutos y cuando aparece contenido lo hace muy lentamente. # AdwCleaner - Logfile created on Thu Jul 27 17:50:55 2017 # Updated on 2017/17/07 by Malwarebytes # Running on Windows 10 Home (X64) # Mode: clean # Support: https://www.malwarebytes.com/support ***** [ Services ] ***** No malicious services deleted. ***** [ Folders ] ***** Deleted: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\YSearchUtil ***** [ Files ] ***** No malicious files deleted. ***** [ DLL ] ***** No malicious DLLs cleaned. ***** [ WMI ] ***** No malicious WMI cleaned. ***** [ Shortcuts ] ***** No malicious shortcuts cleaned. ***** [ Tasks ] ***** No malicious tasks deleted. ***** [ Registry ] ***** No malicious registry entries deleted. ***** [ Firefox (and derivatives) ] ***** No malicious Firefox entries deleted. ***** [ Chromium (and derivatives) ] ***** No malicious Chromium entries deleted. ************************* ::Tracing keys deleted ::Winsock settings cleared ::Additional Actions: 0 ************************* C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[C0].txt - [1105 B] - [2016/11/28 19:43:49] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[C2].txt - [2537 B] - [2017/3/15 7:45:45] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S0].txt - [1196 B] - [2016/11/28 19:42:41] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S10].txt - [1820 B] - [2017/7/27 7:54:7] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S11].txt - [1887 B] - [2017/7/27 8:22:31] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S12].txt - [1955 B] - [2017/7/27 8:31:31] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S13].txt - [2023 B] - [2017/7/27 13:31:47] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S14].txt - [2092 B] - [2017/7/27 15:1:44] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S15].txt - [2160 B] - [2017/7/27 15:7:8] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S16].txt - [2227 B] - [2017/7/27 15:21:8] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S17].txt - [2295 B] - [2017/7/27 15:25:33] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S18].txt - [2364 B] - [2017/7/27 15:32:42] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S19].txt - [2433 B] - [2017/7/27 17:50:45] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S1].txt - [2686 B] - [2017/3/15 7:45:7] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S2].txt - [7774 B] - [2017/7/25 15:16:56] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S3].txt - [2253 B] - [2017/7/25 19:30:11] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S4].txt - [1414 B] - [2017/7/26 17:54:28] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S5].txt - [1482 B] - [2017/7/26 17:57:19] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S6].txt - [1550 B] - [2017/7/26 18:0:47] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S7].txt - [1617 B] - [2017/7/26 18:51:19] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S8].txt - [1685 B] - [2017/7/26 19:24:21] C:/AdwCleaner/AdwCleaner[S9].txt - [1753 B] - [2017/7/27 7:33:8] ########## EOF - C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[C2].txt ##########
  11. So around a week ago my PC got infected with what I think was adware. What happened was when I went to the settings on google chrome the search engine changed to initialsite123 after around 2 seconds. (It only happened when I opened the settings.) I tried scanning my PC with Malwarebytes, adwcleaner, Zemana and hitmanpro. I searched for any suspicious programs on my control panel and through Revo uninstaller, didn't find anything. I also tried resetting google settings many times but the problem kept coming back. That's when I decided to uninstall chrome and install it again. However, after downloading the chrome setup file and pressing the "Run" button nothing other than the appearance of the spinning loading circle near my mouse happens. I'm very used to chrome and I'm quite afraid that the virus is still here, any help would be really appreciated. Addition.txt FRST.txt

  13. Hello, im struggling with such problem for few weeks: Firefox browser keeps popping up automatically every 30-60 mins since i have accidentally downloaded some toxic file. It usualy opens with some russian betting sites (screenshot) or browser games. I've tried several anti malware scanners and it didn't help. 14. Hello MalwareBytes forum! As of a few days ago, I have been getting adware appearing in my Chrome browser whenever I am logged in with my Google account. The pop-ups are from sites such as go.searchlock.com/Chrome/614/ and random sketchy browser games. I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of these pop-ups. Some of the following include: AdWCleaner MalwareBytes Avast HitmanPro Zemana GridinSoft Junk Removal Tool Chrome Cleanup Tool (Found nothing) Resetting all Chrome Settings Some of the scans will find suspicious files and will take care of them. There are no issues when I'm not logged into Chrome. However, as soon as I log back into my Google account in Chrome, the pop-ups come right back. Also, all the extensions I have installed in Chrome are ones I recognize and installed myself. I have no idea where this came from. I believe my girlfriend downloaded a PDF reader from a sketchy site or something, but that's just speculation. The FRST and Addition text files are attached. This is driving me crazy. Please help! - smn89 Addition.txt FRST.txt
  15. Hi, yesterday I've finished to install some windows updates and this morning when I've opened my Chrome my search engine got replaced by another unintended search engine ( "Lucking Search " or something similar). I've decided to run malwarebytes and the analysis returned more than 5000 (!) entries on malware detection. I've put everything to quarantine. I've read some other guides on internet and downloaded the adwcleaner, which got 22 results. Restarted the PC , the problem with the browser was gone. However, for some reason, I was unable to delete the files from quarantine so I've decided to read the malwarebytes guide to malware removal and I've run the FRST. You will encounter the logs attached. Addition_14-05-2017 13.39.22.txt FRST_14-05-2017 13.39.22.txt AdwCleaner[S0].txt
  16. I had some torrented files from my Mac on backup and put them on my new PC. I believe opening these files caused an adware problem that occasionally hijacks my internet browser and opens ad windows that require me to "leave page" before closing. I haven't torrented anything on my PC, but clearly I need to take protecting my computer more seriously. Any help you can offer me would be wonderful. I've attached my FRST and Addition .txt files. Thanks so much, Yakatopa FRST.txt Addition.txt
  17. I saw a couple other people mention this a few threads ago in response to the azurewebsites, com situation. I ran AdwareCleaner on my laptop (new Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Starlord) and when it was finished scanning, it said there were 6 items detected (yet only 3 on the list below that notification, and so, like any normal person, I clicked to remove them. This prompted a "do you want to exit out of your things" message, so I agreed, and BAM! Blue Screen of : ( popped up on my screen. Restarted the computer, and the items were still not removed after a second scan. How am I to remove these pesky adware things (If they are not false positives?)
  18. I was just scanning though my laptop just to check on it and I found ntuserlitelist and llsoft, ntuserlitelist had 3 folders, regtools, svcmx, and dataup. I ran MalwareBytes, Bytefence, Windows Defender, ZAM, and Hitman Pro but all softwares were unable to detect these folders as adware but I knew these were viruses since I was surfing bleepingcomputer. I tried Unhackme and it found it as a rootkit and told me to restart me computer, the restart happened but it said that the delete failed. I tried deleting it through recycle bin but it says assess denied while im admin also I tried to alter its properties but it makes no difference. Also I decided to do a restore point but whenever I try it says requested resource in use. I tried the service.msc thing and I disabled the anti-viruses but it makes no difference. Pls help as I don't want to factory reset and my fixmestick is not with me right now (im travelling).
  19. Just determined that the program is wanting the DuckDuckGo search engine? The first time I ran ver 7.0 it installed DuckDuckGo and ran through, I removed DuckDuckGo and it now crashes at the same point. Add DuckDuckGo back in and it will run all the way through?
  20. I have been having this problem for a while even after formatting my computer. Whenever I visit websites that I use and such and I click on a certain area or if its a video and I click on play. What happens is that Google will open a new tab or whatever to a website with ads or whatever it can be. This of course doesn't happen ALL the time but it happens a lot. All the ads that come up are random. JRT.txt AdwCleaner[S2].txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  21. Hi, A few weeks ago I got help on this forum with an adware related problem, which seemed to be over after I followed the necessary steps to remove it. Now I have suddenly been getting annoying Greatdeal and Rightcoupon ads for a few days and decided to do a scan with MWB (added in attachment), and it showed adware.elex, adware.ghokswa and RiskWare.IFEOHijack. How do I get rid of these? It seems adware related viruses keep coming back. Thanks, Simon Addition.txt FRST.txt Malwarebyteslog28-05.txt
  22. MWB Adware Removal tool was detecting an infection but it kept re-appearing after restart. I tried installing malwarebytes but kept getting the error 'Unable to connect to service.' When I checked out services.msc, nothing was listed from malwarebytes. It appears that whatever is on my computer is preventing virus protection and I definitely need help. I have posted my FIRST.txt just as requested. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this so I can run the program. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  23. Hi, I disabled both PUP and PUM detections in MBAM 3.1.2 Settings. PUP=Ignore Detection, PUM=Ignore Detection but MBAM still detects WhenU.Adware in an old file (see attached). I believe the problem lies in the fact MBAM defines WhenU.Adware as "malware", as opposed to "non-malware" (PUP and PUM). I am not an expert but I wonder: is there a rationale behind MBAM behavior or should it be fixed? Kaspersky, for instance, calls WhenU "not-a-virus". Some others call it a "PUA". Or, maybe, you might want to add a third entry (Adware: ignore/warn/detect) besides PUP and PUM settings? daemon403-x86.zip
  24. When I click on a page within a website, randomly being redirected to the http://go.deliverymodo.com/ For example if i go to cnn.com and click on Tech it automatically opens up another tab with random ad pages This happens on all of my browsers Please help
  25. Howdy! I'm pretty sure this is nothing new, but since a couple of weeks i've noticed my browsers behaving in a strange way. Sometimes when i search for something using the adress bar i get instantly redirected to other "search" websites such as nova rambler or plus network. I get popups or ever straight up redirects when i click a random spot on any page. Also sometimes when i'm watching a video on youtube the title appears as a hyperlink to another popup. Now for the interesting part: there is absolutely no trace of any malware running on my pc. There is nothing going on in registry, startup or browser extensions. Scans with AdwCleaner revealed nothing as of now (previously it found like 10 threats which had since been deleted. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks for help guys
