  2. Hello, I am having an issue with my computer. Yontoo, identified as adware, continues to infect my pc. I use malwarebytes to scan and quarantine my pc multiple times a day to keep it running smoothly. I was wondering if there was a way to stop it from coming back. I have linked Farbar FRST and Addition in this message. Thank you for your time, FRST.txt Addition.txt
  3. Hello, Couple of days ago this particular PUP has been appearing on daily scans and I can't seem to get rid of it with Malwarebytes. There's not much else to say, it seems to be the only item that appears in the logs and doesn't seem to be doing any harm, nonetheless I'd like advice on how to remove it. I've attached the three recommended files. Thank's in advance! Threat Scan Results.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  4. Hi, I am having a bit of an issue removing that ware from Chrome. I've tried everything - reinstalling Chrome, clearing cache, clearing up my entire my profile, reseting synchronisation. AdwCleaner detects it as startup pages (report included) but I also deleted every possible startup pages as well. Thanks for help. Addition.txt AdwCleaner[S8].txt FRST.txt
  5. Hello there, After following a link on youtube I got a nice virus infestation on my PC. Malware Bytes allowed me to clean the majority of malware (PC cleanup utilities and such) but there is still a process that keeps on reinstalling itself that tries to open blocked websites even when the browser is closed. It's most definitely a virus (clostridium.exe) and I can't get rid of it. There also appear to be random redirections from google search to yahoo search. i uploaded all the txt logs requested. Please let me know if I am missing something. Thanks in advance MWB threat scan log.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  6. So I've been using my Dell Microsoft Windows 7 Professional for around 4 years, recently when I logged into my laptop, the screen froze after 2 minutes. I can still move the cursor but can not do anything else, after some research I found out I might've gotten a Adware. I also read that most Anti-Virus won't remove AdWare. I would just like to get some help in removing this Adware, currently running scan and have gotten 4 Adware threats. I also ran DDS, after seeing the result of "Installed Programs", I found out that some programs mentioned in the .txt file were not in the control panel for me to delete it, I would need more help, please reply to me ASAP.
  7. I had this issue 2 or 3 weeks ago. Malwarebytes constantly popups blocking a few different (what appears to be) adware issues, such as drivethelife and onclickads. There's a 3rd one that shows up sometimes but much more rarely. My Avast antivirus couldn't find any issues, and running a scan on my lifetime license MWB gives a message that there are no threats found. I have a temporary license on HitManPro and it seems to find tracking cookies but nothing to do with adware (from what I can tell). I uninstalled Malwarebytes and reinstalled it but lost my license key for about 10 days. During this time, I had no popups about these infections. I restored the key yesterday and started getting these constant annoying popups. I verified my installed programs and see nothing that seems related. All installed programs are normal Microsoft and other regular updates to my apps. I see nothing that seems related in my running processes, either. So how do I get rid of these popups? If there really is an infection (despite Malwarebytes telling me there isn't one), how do I get rid of it? Please help ASAP. I can't focus on my work with these popups annoying me constantly.
  8. Hello, I have a problem everytime i start my pc ad.fly popup shows on my default browser I've ran a full scan on malwerbytes, kaspersky, uninnstalled cracked games and utorrent, unninstalled suspicious programs, disabled suspicious startup programs, tried other browsers, set other default browser. I've tried almost everything. Could you help me somehow.
  9. So I was messing with my laptop about a week ago and found out that some extensions of Russian origin were installed to my chrome browser and some random websites were opening randomly. "Well, no big deal", thought I installing adw cleaner and deleting the extensions. When It seemed like everything was cleaned, I have continued using the laptop until the same websites have started to open and the same extensions appeared. This became worrisome. I installed malwarebytes, hitmanpro and ccleaned, deleted chrome and cleaned the cache files. Scanning, removing, rebooting... I have done everything that I could imagine to root out the source of the virus. The only result was that the virus didn't affect my computer, but this is only because Malwarebytes was putting it to the quarantine. For a week every day I was scanning and cleaning my system, but the virus still keeps coming back. And today I found something odd: this appeared for a couple of seconds but I managed to screenshot it. So now I wonder: is there any file in the system that makes this window appear and download the virus again and again? Can you guys help me with this? Is there any way to make the virus stop coming back? Thanks in advance!

  11. Hi, Malwarebytes Premium frequently blocks malicious websites as shown below. I suspect adware infection. However, Premium and ADWCleaner logs are clean. 12. Hi, When I open my Internet Browser, it opens numerous tabs. Currently I am using AdwareBlockPlus to block it. But I would definitely need a help on this, thanks.
  13. So the last known programs installed, were on the 18 of this month. Im running windows 10, and i made the mistake of thinking it could handle me torrenting. As I've done it countless times before, on win7 ult and didnt encounter a thing wrong. Anyways, long story short, im infected with something. I've ran countless programs to remedy it to no avail. unhackme, malwarebytes, adw cleaner, roguekiller, and hitmanpro, all based on this websites recommendation. im still infected. upon going through, nearly every folder in my drive (fresh install of win10 so i dont have much)i came across 3 folders that i had no control over, and couldnt delete. dtmhnlx, igfxmtc, wmhtcir. my guess is mining programs, but FRST revealed it to be a trojan. Although im still needing help on what to do to erase this. I want to play my games again without my cpu and gpu hitting max load, for games that arent even modern....also i should note, windows reset, and restore wont work at all. ive put win8 iso on dvd and tried to run on pc but wont read it at all, even disable secure boiot and rearranged the boot order. nothing works. if this doesnt work then i'll have to resort to taking out the hdd and doing a complete partition wipe of it, which i dont want to do because im just lazy. someone please help?
  14. Along with many others I had been bothered with the PUP that was related to the Chrome browser. With the help of MWB staff I managed to rid the PUP and had deleted Chrome. However I have been using AVAST Safe Zone but was not able to import my bookmarks so reinstalled Chrome and once I synced to recover my settings and bookmarks etc the PUP returned. However after the scan and deleting the PUP and repeating the scan to see if the PUP was gone MWB was locked by two pop up windows, one titled network settings the other network error, both erroneous, I believe these are the remnants that ensures reinfection if clicked. The only solution is the restart the computer, then a scan be carried out and mine came up clean, no reinfection was present. I saw mention of switching to Firefox, prior to this I had similar dramas but on a much more drastic scale over 4,000 items were being detected using this browser!!
  15. My computer is infected with Adware.Elex.ShrtCln. All the clean-up information is for infected Google Chrome and I do not have Google chrome. Is it possible for a novice to eradicate this virus or should I take my computer to a specialist? Malwarebytes picks up the virus but will not quarantine it.
  16. My computer came into contact with adware, specifically the one where it pops open 30tab.com whenever I open my browser. I've tried adwcleaner, malwarebytes, resetting the browser and resetting the sync, but yet this darn adware refuses to go away. It shows that it's a registry key, so I opened up regedit.exe but could not locate the adware. I'd love some assistance to help remove this adware! 17. Hello. I've hit a roadblock trying to get rid of the adware mentioned in the topic title. Every time MBAM picks it up and tries to delete it, it always comes back. It shows up as a registry key, that key being the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\mrxsmb22 It seems nothing I do seems to get rid of it. I'm at a complete loss and I don't really want to have to format my PC just to get rid of it for good. I scanned my laptop with FRST. The logs are as follows. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits end. FRST.txt Addition.txt

  19. Hello again forum, Thank you again AdvancedSetup for helping me with my inclk problem. I logged into my other laptop to clean the same issue, and discovered some additional issues. Hoping to get some assistance please. I ran MalwareBytes and ADWCleaner a few times each. It looks like there are a couple of items that are persistent. 1. Myfree Codec, and 2. Freemake Video Converter. 3. Also, although not in the current set of logs, pup.optional.legacy was also persistent. I also have a number of other computers in my household. Should I post these in the same thread? Or create a different thread for each? Thank you again for your time. AdwCleaner[C2].txt FRST.txt MalwareBytes Report.txt Addition.txt
  20. i have this problem and can not find it with regedit but scan found it and blocked it what is it and do i need to do more than quarantine it? AdwCleaner[S0].txt
  21. Alright, i was doing the usual, gaming on my PC while malwarebytes was scanning in the background, when i get a popup that says it found one virus. I looked, it said it found a file called "PUP.Optional.binkiland". I immediately quarantine, delete, and do a bit of research. I found that it was adware.. which was surprising to me as i had not been getting any popups or changes in browser behavior. I followed some guides on removal, using adwcleaner, it found two more files, called "PUP.Optional.Legacy". I did some research on that, found only a guide to delete it. It told me to scan with adwcleaner, which i had already done, and scan with hitman pro, which returned no threats. So, my question is, what should i do in proceeding? Could it be a false positive? Remember, i had no signs of adware before this. Thank you for reading.
  22. Hello, I have looked at various post on how to remove yontoo with Malwarebytes and it has come to this. I have followed the steps posted here: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/214325-chrome-secure-preferences-detection-always-comes-back/ I went ahead and turned off sync for all 3 accounts tied to my Chrome, removed all search engines except Google, and RESET Chrome. I was able to remove 3 of the 4 infections tied to it but the one infection cannot be quarantined at all...... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have also tried HitmanPro as I saw in older post as well. Thanks!
  23. So ever since this afternoon I went onto one of my usual wikias for a game, when out of nowhere it started acting strange. It hasn't done this until today, and that's including yesterday when I last used it. It's using an excessive amount of cookies, and the domains in my Ublock aren't looking like they normally are. It even redirected from the original wikia, to a strange URL, back to the wiki. I have no idea what happened, and I don't know if it's because of the site or suspected adware. What makes this even more confusing is that it doesn't seem to be happening to everyone. Neither Malwarebytes not ADWcleaner is picking it up, so I think it's a site issue. I honestly don't know what to do in a situation like this, because it's only the sites that are "Powered by Wikia." Do I have Adware, or is this something happening to the sites themselves?
  24. im seriously getting annoyed by this ad always opening internet explorer. does anyone know a way to manually delete malware/adware? if so please come to my aid lol but seriously i wanna get this removed from my pc. i've read some forums about deleting system 32 and i also read that if i do that it will be the same as deleting my entire pc lol so im here for professional help that know exactly what i need to delete and i have hopes that you dont troll me into deleting my pc LOL and i had used malwarebytes but it lies to me that im good to go *cries* so please someone guide me manually to delete this bs
  25. Hi, After opening a QR code link for Whatsapp Web an extra tab opened with myhelpfuldownloads.com URL and an add for Scanguard. This is quite a new laptop I am setting up after having it repaired and wiped by Lenovo customer support, so I am quite surprised there is already adware on it. I can't figure out where it came from. Perhaps syncing my Google Chrome after logging in brought along something, but I can't discover what it is or how to disable it. Attached all the logs as per instructions. I hope someone can help me figure this one out. Many thanks in advance Addition.txt FRST.txt MalwareBytes_Threat_scan_log.txt
