  1. Hello, sir I need some help to find my account number and you might ask why i need that it is for my refund of malwarebytes privacy. Greetings, Peter
  2. Hi, I recently purchased a malwarebytes premium license from an external provider. I was able to activate my license in malwarebytes(4.4) windows version. But when i try to login to my account(malwarebytes.com) and then try to register the license, it says "This license key cannot be registered at this time, please contact our support".I would like to know how I can register my license key with my account.
  3. I've been a Malwarebytes "freebie" user and just purchased an annual license. When setting up my account, MB, as expected, asked me to input a password. I did that. I set the password for the Forum community as well. All is good up to that point. When checking out my "profile", there appears to be a different password that I did not setup. I'm trying to change the password in my "profile" to match my account but I don't know the one that MB created apparently? Any suggestions would be most appreciated? Jim
  4. Hello I saw my malwarebytes forums profile from a friend's profile and it showed that my last visited had been on Friday at 3:15pm but I didn't log at that time. I checked my recent devices and my last device was my computer and it said "last logged: Friday at 10:12 am" and there's no other device after that. Am I hacked or why doesn't it display a time I didn't log? Thanks in advance
  5. Hi there, on the 6th of August, when I did subscribe to 5 premium Seats for Malwarebyte Windows, I accidentally typed in the wrong email address, the confirmation email + invoice + account activation have never been received. I tried to reach out the support couple of times via the ticket system, but it's been now over 2 weeks without any update, and there is no phone number to call. How can we reach out to Malwarebyte Support team to update this email address? I do have a picture of the Activation Key linked with the wrong email address during the subscription. Thanks for your help
  6. I've already opened a ticket with support via email but it feels like they aren't reading what I'm writing and it's been quite frustrating, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I downloaded the free-trial of Malwarebytes on April 24, 2020. To download and install the free-trial I wasn't asked for any information nor was I asked to create an account (<<this detail is VERY IMPORTANT). It was as easy as double-clicking the .exe and once the setup was finished and the software was installed, everything was working perfectly. I ran a scan, found some PUPs and got rid of them. Great! As my free-trial neared its end, I thought I liked it the software enough to buy a premium membership, which I did through the desktopp app: I entered my credit card information and waited to receive instructions for activation. Again, all done through the desktop app without having an account: I placed the order and waited for my transaction to be processed by my credit card company, which it was on May 8, 2020: From that day until now I haven't received my key. Shortly after this, I realized that since keys are to be emailed to you and I was NEVER PROMPTED TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT, that I was never going to get my key. So I made an account and contacted support. I also though once I made an account and associated it with my desktop app that somehow it would automatically link the payment that had been made to my newly created account, but nope. What's weird to me is how I was allowed to make a payment WITHOUT HAVING AN ACCOUNT if an account is a necessary part of the process to obtain a key. My email exchanges with support led nowhere since they didn't understand what the issue was. Maybe it was my fault for failing to explain it properly, but it was still quite frustrating and I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Thanks!
  7. I bought Malwarebytes several years ago. At some point I deleted the email address which I had used to sign up. How do I transfer my account to a new email address (when I can't access the old one)?
  8. My Malwarebytes account for Macs covers two computers. Yesterday one of the two computers crashed and failed. It is not useable. I need to remove Malwarebytes protection from that now-defunct computer. Today I bought a new computer to replace it. I would like to maintain my account for two computers, and add the new computer to the account to replace the defunct one. How do I do this?
  9. Hi, I have just tried re activating my Malwarebytes lifetime license but with no luck. A day or so ago I had to re install Windows 10 as I was unable to access Windows due to an error in the Windows registry. I was also then unable to de activate my lifetime license from this old Windows 10 installation as I was unable to access my old Windows. So when I tried to re activate my license in the new Malwarebytes installation, it states that "the usage level has exceeded the maximum installations allowed". It then had an option to 'Deactivate other devices', but when I clicked this, it went straight to the malwarebytes account website, where I made an account and again attempted to re activate the license key, but with the same problem now re occurring...? All I ask is if you could please add my license key to my account so that I can indeed register it via the My Account page, and also if you could "Deactivate my other devices" for me to continue to use my same lifetime license on my new Windows installation. And I can provide my license key and email address for account purposes at any time via a private message if need be. Many thanks and I will await your reply.
  10. Hi Everyone, so I just subscribed to Malwarebytes for 1 year and installed it. Everything works perfectly. The problem is: I entered the wrong E-Mail adress. Now hear me out for a bit. My Mail Provider is Yahoo. So when I subscribed I entered the following: "name@yahoo.de". And that's where I screwed up because there only exist "name@yahoo.com" now. Yahoo doesn't support "de" anymore. When I try to login to my Mailbox with "name@yahoo.de" it still works but if someone is trying to send me an E-Mail with this adress, this Mail will never actually reach my Mailbox. And now I can't set up my Account for the Malwarebytes Product. The Mails Malwarebytes sent to me to set up my Account never reached my mailbox. Without my Account I literally can't change anything. There's also this auto-renewal option which renews my license after a year automatically. That means I have to pay yearly for this with my bank account and I can't even cancel it or unsubscribe. I actually created a new account with my correct adress in the hopea I can fix this issue. So basically "name@yahoo.com". It's the exact same adress but now with "com" at the end. Unfortunately it didn't work. I now have this account I have access to but it's not subscribed to anything. I already created a ticket to the customer support but I still felt like I had to post this in the forum and bring up a bit attention to this particular issue. I hope the problem can be somehow solved because if not, I'd have a yearly fee of 40€ which I can't cancel anymore. At last, thanks for reading all of this. I live in Germany so I'm not a native speaker. I hope you could understand everything I wrote. If not, I apologize for my English.
  11. I'm trying to install MB3 onto a 4th PC but it's saying "The usage level has exceeded the maximum installations allowed". When I check I can see "0 of 4" Available Devices but when I list them it is only showing three devices.
  12. I have a Premium Edition (for several years) on 1 PC and 2 NB. Actual 125 days left. I can't login to my account, always moaning: '"You have not set up your account. Please check your email for instructions to set up your account."'. but I didn't receive any email instruction. Sorry but can't either find a better topic and only manage create a topic in this place. Saludos y suerte from Paraguay Wolfgang Allinger
  13. What happened is exactly as the title says. I just received an email that my account password was changed, and not only had the password been changed, but the email it was tied to was as well. I have, of course, already sent in a ticket, but as I really can't wait for this to go through, especially as it can take 2-3 BUSINESS DAYS, which would now be 4-5 days, I'm hoping that I can pull some attention here in order to expedite the process. This is beyond frustrating to me at the moment. Though, I do admit I can appreciate the irony behind it, the service I use to prevent people from infecting my computer with viruses and stealing my passwords, having my password stolen. But, still, this is just awful. If anyone here can either help me get the attention of an admin, or give me some solid advice, it would be appreciated.
  14. Hello, i'm new on these forums. Just a quick question. I forgot my password on my Malwarebytes Account as well as the secret answers (both of 'em). If i can recover it, how? Do i need to email support or staff? Or is it a case where something has to be done to the account itself or something? Apologies if a topic like this has alrdy existed, i couldn't find one though.
  15. I just bought and installed malwarebytes and installed it. Then I created an account but my license key is not showing up in my account. How do I link then up so I can manage the remaining keys? When I open up my malwarebytes and go to manage my subscription it says "whoops something went wrong" and after signing in it tells me I have no active products. So there is an issue with my license key not being linked to my account, I just can't figure out how to link them.
  16. When I log in to my online account, I don't have Subscriptions or Order History or anything other than preferences. (Please see attached screen shot.) I created the account by clicking the link in the email that was sent to me. The account setup pre-populated the correct email address that I used for purchase. Where's all the rest of my info? Thanks! -Doug
  17. Hey guys, I was wondering something. When I found out that Android's Malwarebytes was updated to 3.0 thus taking advantage of premium finally, I wondered if my current lifetime premium license would work for it. The current number is a different kind of number from newer ones so I can't use the "redeem" option in the app . So I thought I'd see if I had an account that maybe has a mobile license number attached to it, but what I'm seeing is I can't create an account unless i paid for a temporary subscription from the website. I was hoping to login to a similar account on both my computer and mobile but it seems that's not an option as I also don't see an option to login to an account in the app. So I'm assuming that I cannot create an account and I have to pay for mobile separately? Just was wanting to get this straight. Thanks.

  20. Hi, some time ago I tried the beta 5, but I've then removed, because it gave me this problem, now I tried to make a clean installetion of the beta 6, and unfortunately it still gives me the same problem, that is, when I switch to another account, it's creates the temporary profile, which is then deleted on reboot. Before uninstall MBARW , I saved the log files. logs.zip Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware.zip
  21. Dear all, we have installed Malware on 12 computers in our office. After that we have had the same problem on 6 computers (4 with Win10 and 2 with Win8.1): Whenever we started the computer and loggin with our Windows Account, it was said "You've been signed in with a temporary profile. You can't access your files, and files created in this profile will be deleted when you sign out. To fix this, sign out and try signing in later. Please see the event log for more details or contact your system administrator." on some Computer just a fresh restart was sufficient to get the Profile back. But not on all Computers... Somtimes we needed to Switch the user and then restart. On some Computers it worked not out at all and we needed to delete the user Profile. I think that it has something to do with Malware, because This Problem only came up once we have installed the Programm.
  22. Hi there and Thanks for providing this software. I have the following issue to report: After installing 0.9.14 with Admin rights, I wanted to switch over to a user profile. Unfortunately, that didn't work out in so far, as I was informed by windows, that my "desktop is prepared" (in german though, I don't know the applicable wording in english versions) and prompted to what seemed to be a "guest" account or something of that sort. The good news is though, that after a restart, I was able to access the user again. Anyway, the profile switch (to the Admin-account this time) still failed. As before, reboot reenabled access. Is this a known issue? Will it be "repaired", when I remove the software from my system? Will it corrupt any system in any way? Thanks for support and BRGDS, MB
  23. The title says it all. I can find no way to find my Malwarebytes account information. Support seems unable to answer or my question hasn't floated to the surface yet. Another question somewhat related. When I sign into Malwarebytes (expecting to see access to my account information) I get a web page which asks me my e-mail address, which I think it's safe to assume that Malwarebytes already has - especially since I signed in using it as my user name, so my twitter account can be completed. What does THAT have to do with logging into Malwarebytes?! So I enter (again) my e-mail account, then sign in and once again I am faced with this same question regarding completion of my Twitter account. What the heck is going on with this 'non sequiter' kind of question and how do I actually access my Malwarebytes account? For such a great product Malwarebytes seems to have a convoluted, unsatisfying web presence that seemingly defies logic and the straight forward access to account info that other websites don't seem to have an issue with. As an aside I find it interesting that sites which specialize in computer technology, hardware and software, tend to have the most baffeling web presence compared to others which present themselves on the Internet. Thank you.
  24. In this context mbae.exe process appears to be waiting for protection services to start, but this never happens. After about 5-7 minutes it gives up and throws an eror message (screenshot attached). Malwarebytes Anti-Malware doesn't have this issue because the protection services are started by the system prior any user loggon. Or at least, this is how it appears. The cause may be related to WMI. It is not permitted for guest accounts. It is possible to get it running by creating a shortcut set to run MBAE as admin. Executing shortcut fast enough will get MBAE running. At some point MBAE will display its GUI without this being requested. This happens after those 5-7 minutes, when the autostart mbae.exe process gets terminated remaining only the one created by shortcut. If it is not launched fast enough, it may be necessary to execute the shortcut at least 2 times to get it working. Altering the registry entry that autostarts MBAE to point to the shortcut may also help. Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit.zip
  25. My computer was apparently afflicted with multiple adware. Unisales, reimage and some other which I don't know of. I tried resolving the issue using MalwareBytes, AdwCleaner, CCleaner, AVG and even manualling deleting some but it didn't resolve the issue. Unisales.so keeps popping up in the Chrome extensions and kept coming everytime Chrome was restarted. However, I went to settings of my browser (Chrome) and saw the People tab and Person 1 was connected. I deleted that and logged in again now as Person 2 (current). But this fixed all the adware issues. Just a heads up, hopefully this helps in resolving some issues.
