  1. This is my first post in MalwareBytes Forum, I had been using MBAE Beta for quite sometime till I discovered the latest version 1:04:1:1012 yesterday. I immediately downloaded this version in the same folder as the Beta version, my parttion D Drive. Thereafter, in the Event Viewer, I got the following error Faulty Application Name W Script exe. version 5.8.7601.19283 Faulty Module Name mbae64. dll_unloaded version Faultin Application Path C:\Windows\System32\W Script exe. Faultin Module Path mbae64.dll Event ID 1000 Level Error Task Category {100} I thought this problem arose since I didn't uninstall the Beta version earlier before downloading the new version. So I again uninstalled MBAE and then again downloaded the above version. The following things have been observed by me now. 1.All my batch files and W Scripts which used to work fast, have now slowed down by a couple of seconds. 2.The frequency of the above errors have come down, but nonetheless, still appear in my Event Viewer. Even my Reliability Monitor indicates this as an error and thereafter all my batch files/ Wscipts [ which are activated by my Schedule Task ] become slow by a couple of seconds. My questions .... 1. Should I unstall and again install in my C Drive ? 2. What is the reason that MBAE is clashing with WScipt on my Computer ? Can someone please help me on this Anshi
  2. Hi there! I've been desperately trying to solve this problem with various Anti-virus software scans and resetting my browser settings to default, but nothing seems to work: Proxy server keeps ticking itself in the box at LAN settings. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit version. I have used HitManPro3, it detects the Proxy server problem, but doesn't entirely fixes it. I have attached the log. Every time I scan - it appears again even when it showed as repaired. With Malwarebyts Anti-Malware it has detected PUP.Optional. files, but doesn't fix the problem too. Log is attached. SuperAntiSpywareProfessional also didn't help - and doesn't detect the problems. Please help! /Vadim HitmanPro_20140604_1302.log Malwarebyts Scan.txt
  3. I've been fighting with this thing the past few days and I know that if I don't do something soon it is probably going to get worse but I don't feel like taking my laptop somewhere unless I have to so any help I can get on here would be awesome! Anyway, I have an Asus G74 that has been clean just until a few days ago when Microsoft Security Essentials picked up Virus:Win64/Alureon.gen!A. It's recommendation was of course to use their windows defender offline but I can't get my laptop to boot from any of the multiple usb's or the cd I made, and I have doubts as to whether it would work or not either. I'm sure it would help if I zipped some log files on here but I don't really have any idea what or from where lol (I'm hardware savvy but not when it comes to software or the inner workings of windows. So I guess I need some help with even the first steps...
  4. Hi guys, I used this site a few years ago and you were all really helpful, My girlfriend (who is a non-native speaker) was trying to download Open Office and was frustrated by the constant pop ups from Comodo Firewall. So, she decided the best option would be to click OK to each and every prompt. Voila !! Tidynetwork successfully installed. I've run my Avast antivirus, Malwarebytes and the Tidynetwork Removal Tool from Security Stronghold, but there are still entries in the registry and I suspect there are still problems lurking, I hope you would be so kind as to give me some assistance again. Thanks in advance David

  7. In the past few days I've been getting random pop ups with various titles and messages. The latest one is titled "Windows Internet Explorer" ********************************************************************************** Are you sure you want to leave this page? Message from web page: WAIT! Before you leave, CLICK CANCEL for your FREE GIFT! CLICK CANCEL BELOW Leave this page Stay on this page ************************************************************************************ I had Chrome and Firefox open with a few web sites but I'm guessing this pop up came from some kind of malware or virus. Yesterday the pop up was a "Do you want save or open this file" for some .mp4 file. I updated my malware bytes and ran the full scan and it was clean. And I ran a full scan of my Symantec virus scanner and that was clean also so I'm not sure what to do to get rid of whatever is causing these pop ups. I've attached a screen shot of the pop up and the requested Attach.txt and DDS.txt files. Thank you in advance for any help!! Attach.txt DDS.txt
