  2. I'm on Windows 10 Build 10166, and just ran a malwarebytes scan and it popped up with this: I can't work out which file it's referring to. Is this a false positive or how else can I track down the offending file? Thanks!
  3. Now that the saga of getting MBAM operational on Win10 build 10074 has been resolved overall, there seems to be a minor issue (I think) of the MBAM icon normally resident in the system notification tray disappearing. I say disappearing, rather than missing, because the icon is resident on system boot-up, but disappears after some time. Checking Windows Task Manager, MBAM appears to be resident. See attached screen capture. Can anyone: 1. Verify that MBAM is, in fact, active per the screen shot? 2. Advise if this is a known issue with Win10? 3. Suggest how icon can be re-established? TIA, cps
  4. Hello community, I would like to tell my Malwarebytes Home Premium to block the Windows 10 Upgrade notification. I have uninstalled it by going to Windows Upgrade then the Install History and then I uninstalled KB3035583 (Which is the file that has the program that puts the upgrade icon in your system tray). I also disabled Windows Upgrade's automatic upgrade feature in the settings. But in case Microsoft gets sneaky I want Malwarebytes to block the GWX.exe executable whenever it raises it's ugly head. Is this possible? Thanks for taking time to read my post, Oldwolf.
  5. I apologize in advance if others have raised this issue. I'm running the technical preview of Windows 10 (build 10074) and MBAM fails to start. I tried to download a new version, but the MBAM installer also failed. The problem may, in fact, be particular to this build. As far as I know, MBAM seemed to run fine under build 10040). Anyone else experiencing this issue or have suggestions on how I can get MBAM operational again? TIA cps
  6. I've upgraded to the Windows 10 technical preview some time ago, and my Malwarebytes worked fine right off the bat. Only recenly I discovered that it wasn't running at start-up, nor could I get it to run on it's own. I tried to run the anti-rootkit and even chameleon and those would not run either. I got error codes for each of them. I'd love some help, because I do not like browsing unprotected and like the peace of mind I paid for. The errors I get include: mbam-setup-2.1.4.1018.exe - Error 0xc0000279 mbam-setup-1.75.0.1300.exe - Error 0xc0000279 mbar-1.09.1.1004.exe - Error 0xc0000279 mbam-chameleon.exe - Error 0xc0000142 Any help is appreciated.
  7. Sorry if ask'ed before. I have used antimalware for years, but now I've been testing windows 10 and would like to use antimalware on that os. Latest version is not working. Are there any beta's that works ? Link ?
  8. Will there a client that is compatible with the Windows 10 Preview? We are evaluating Windows 10 and would like to see a Malwarebytes client that is compatible.
