  4. Hi there, we have MalwarBytes Anti-Malware Pro on an HP Pavilion Tower (about 2 months old) running Windows 7 Pro. It will not open consistently, often it will result in the spinning wheel and when it does open it cannot update itself getting the error: PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (11004, 0, No address found) In our internet browsers (Firefox 9, and IE 8) we cannot consistently access the web. We can access Gmail, certain bank sites (no we're not logging in but when we try to access sites like MalwareBytes.org, BleepingComputer or even just Google results our internet connection seems to drop. 5. Dear support, I am having trouble with the manual update. I know it has been asked before, but probably I am too stupid to get it, so I need to ask again. I installed the latest version of Malwarebytes (, and then downloaded the latest "rules" as described here: http://techdows.com/...ml#comment-6316 Now comes the part, where we need to go slow... I copied the rules.912022001.ref file to the folder C:/program data/malwarebytes , which is where the old rules.ref file is, and then I deleted the old rules.ref file, and changed the new one such that the version number 9120.... is gone
  6. Hello, I'm coming from http://forums.malwar...howtopic=107091, where I was told to post a new topic here after following some directions; my issue is explained there. So, I've followed the instructions in http://www.malwareby...?showtopic=9573, and here are the logs I obtained after running dds.scr. First, DDS.txt: . 7. Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me with my problem, and sorry for my english, it may not be quite good because I'm spanish, so I ask you to be understanding with me please. Well, my problem is that the first time I tried to run the program after installing it, I got a dialog with that message in the topic title, and then it asked me if I want to download a new copy of the database. I said yes, and after reaching 100%, the same "database is missing" message showed up again as if nothing had changed, and the program was unable to start. This happens every time I try to run it, I've tried
  8. Pretty much just that. Every time the balloon pops up telling me that the database has been updated, PuTTY disconnects me from my SSH session :/ I tried searching a bit but couldn't find anyone else mentioning this so I figured I'd post. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that after updating the free version of Malwarebytes on an old computer of mine it now automatically updates as if it was a full paid professional edition. I didn't know if this was a new feature so I thought I'd mention it on here before I did anything. I have not activated the trial version, it's running the standard free edition.
  10. Bottom Line Up Front: I'm looking for the correct configuration settings which will download and install the daily database updates without user intervention or notification. Ideally,it should also nag me about available program (application executable) updates, or even install without user intervention as well. I'm running the pro version. I've read the online help, FAQ's and I'm still unsure of a couple points. Specifically, setting up automatic "Program Updates" and automatic "Database Updates". Perhaps it's just a misunderstanding of the terminology. Any help is appreciated. Under t
  11. Hello All, I am trying to manualy update the refs on the newest version of Malwarebytes. I have followed the FAQ and moved the ref file and database.conf from a working install. I still get the "database is missing or corrupt" error. Any thoughts? Thanks, Travis

  13. Greetings. I've been having problems a while now (freezing, browser redirects, unable to use windows update, etc.). I had AVG, spybot S & D & Malwarebytes yet still caught viruses. And none of these programs would remove them. I read several sites/forums & heard about TDSS Killer & TFC. I tried both & also did a system restore. I was able to use windows update again so I thought I got the virus(es) taken care of. Then I moved & wasn't able to use my computer. I've recently gotten it back together & connected with the net again. I leave my computer on. So to g
